hi. how about modifying a single phase alternator to semi brushless one, base on my theory, i can upgrade an example of 15kv alternator to 20kv, i will remove those starting coil winding or the auxillary winding that you mention and replace it with additional main windings to step up the capacity from 15 to 20 kv, and now my answer for excitation voltage is to create a small permanent magnet generator out of motor cycle stator and magneto and fix it on rear side of alternator. how about that?
1. U can't upgrade any alt, u can only downgrade it because of core sizing. 2 . Connecting pmg is good only for experiments, aux winding is cheap n efficient in small size alternators.
Good day sir. Sir I am getting only 100v output In a 440v alternator.when I checked I found Auxiliary winding voltage is only 47. Is that affect the AVR for controlling or not.
I have Kriloskar 95 diesel engine with 6kva 1phase alternator. When I started teh engine voltage is 245 but after give lode to the voltage become reduce. And all time led or filament bulb blinking fast.. how to get constant voltage from generator without out blinking.... Plz help me

Depending on the type of the engine controller board, AVR has virtually nothing to do with engine speed, but with alternador's voltage control. Engine speed is controlled by the Governor, where it keeps the genset's engine to a pre-set/rated speed, most Governors use a magnetic pick-up sensor feedback from the engine.
sir please I have problem if you can help me I have 6 generators 1280 KVA are connected to 3 transformers ( each one 2500 kva) each two generators are connected to one transformer. before 6 generators were running in good condition and synchronization. but now gen1 and gen2 are not sync together only I can sync gen 1 with gen (3,4,5 and 6) or gen 2 with (3,4,5 and 6). what is the problem in your opinion thanks a lot

F1&f2 from rotor all connection proper, firstly give voltage415after using load it give not voltage . So I have by pass axuilary lead, chock primery lead connect with U1 v1w1, with chock secondary lead another primery lead connect to rectifier circuit,U,VW getconnect to short for neutral another secondary lead for ph1,ph2,,ph3, respectively it not get voltage so give proper guidance.
