But Legend of Fie is so love worldwide, the popularity is similar to the Twilight saga movies, old and younger generations loved it, and it was considered by nay sayers not so great but they're wrong,.... because of the popularity of the lead characters the author decided to release the New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn Saga. The author became the instant millionaire overnight after the first movie Twilight. Love Wang Yibo and Zhao Liying chemistry and hopefully they'll collaborate again soon in costume drama series.

I watched the Rebel Princess last week and can see why it is the most expensive series to make. Just the costumes of the female lead alone, is stunningly beautiful, beautiful!!!
I just loved the Legend Of Fei. It was never boring and at times I found myself watching through the night with no sleep. It was beautifully done and was as good if not a lot better than a lot of dramas of that genre. Wang Yibo did an amazing job and was entertaining to watch. Please don't put down this drama I think Chinese people have become spoiled. The kind of caliber of Chinese dramas are top notch and I think they have high expectations for every drama. Spend time watching Hollywood shows for a while, you'll come to appreciate the amazing talents you have in China. From writers to producer's, to cast, they're all above the crap the rest of the world is putting out there. I love Asian dramas and the incredible history there is to make dramas about. I'm never disappointed.
I totally agree with you. I just started watching Chinese Dramas and the ones I have watched have been really entertaining. I just finished watching the Legend of Fei. I also agree that Wang Yibo did an outstanding job with role. I was impressed that his character had so much depth and for me he was able to convey a range of emotions through the script, his body language, his facial expressions and eyes. Not many actors are able to do that in such great detail. Yibo made his character come alive, from his playfulness to his angst. I laughed, I cried and everything in between. I also thought the other actors did a great job as well, which made the entire production come to life for me that I couldn't help but to binge watch it too. It's really too bad that China does not recognize just how talented this young man is at his age. I'm a little disappointed about some of the criticisms because these actors are just playing a role, it doesn't reflect who they really are as people.

Rebel Princess is absolutely stunning, the story is incredible, the main leads and the supporting actors are phenomenal, the set , costumes, ost and cinematography are all breathtaking. It really is a masterpiece. It is a beautiful love story that I have watched more then once. I would highly recommend .
Legend of Fei was watched worldwide by 5.9 billion people . It was Thailand top drama in 2021 and will be shown in 2022 as Legend of Love ( renamed) in Japan . My favourite drama. To international fans it is a successful drama . Really surprised that China viewers didn’t give higher ratings to Zhao Liying and Wang Yibo who acted well. I feel that the company didn’t promote the show extensively as Untamed did. Maybe due to budget reason. Love Legend of Fei .
@Anant radhe I felt like beating them, out of all yibo’s movies, he has the best chemistry with zhao liying, he was so happy while shooting even during their happy camp and ddu. I was so mad when they did that because I feel it affected yibo emotionally and he might not be like that again 😪.
Legend of fei was watched in illegal platforms by many people because they could not access wetv and the picture quality was bad and on TH-cam, they only posted 2 episodes and didn’t post more, it has so much views on illegal platforms

Loved Nirvana in Fire watched it three times already. The script, actors and cinematography is excellent. It was worth the money spent. Shout out to Hu Ge and the actor who plays Kia Jiang and the Emperor.

( I assume you mean the netflix "phoenix" drama which I loved as well). IMO those two dramas were outstanding from beginning to end). Not in same category, if you like good character driven historicals, in a more up to date but not modern, try "Like a Flowing River" part one. Part two was good too. Also "Mining Town"; same genre.
Luoyang is a joke. Instead of building a new city they borrowed the Onmyoji movie’s Japanese-style streets just so they can save money. And they plagiarized another donghua’s fighting scenes. And then they bragged about how historically accurate they were, when all the clothes are from the wrong decade and the architecture was Japanese?

Its just so suprising the Legend of Fei had such a high budget but such LOW production quality? I mean the CGI especially…was so bad for a 2020 drama especially. Seems like a large majority of the budget went to the cast pay and not the costumes, set design, etc. Yibo is my favorite so im not hating on him or the acting, but the drama really lacked on screen quality. Especially in comparison to other dramas with less budget?

The legend of Fuyao was top notch. Eternal Love - 3 Lives, 3 Worlds; Princess Agents is excellent, memorable and entertaining; Journey of Flower as well as story of Lu Zhen.
lol I’m fan of Yibo and watched the whole Legend of Fei and come on people does this look like a high budget drama??? It looked very cheap (you must admit it) and the fact that it was written by 9 screenwriters led to sometimes chaotic and boring plot. Tbh the only thing that kept me going was wang Yibo and zhao liying , I agree they had their cute moments 🤠🤠
TU had a very low budget ($30,000,000) but it became one of the highest-earning dramas of 2019. A good budget could have pushed this drama to a 10/10 easily. Anyway TU is a masterpiece for me. I just turned a blind eye to some of the mistakes ❤

I freaking love legend of fei, the chemistry between yibo and Zhao liying is too cute,so natural like they enjoyed filming together unlike others where you can clearly tell it's fan service and they have to edit and create candies just for it to be realistic. But lof doesn't need all that, they all did an amazing job and gave us the sweetest love story,no weak female lead and a very caring sweet boy who would do anything for her😻🥰💚💚💚

The Rebel Princes is one of my Favorite I watched it 4x times but I think you missed The Rise of the Phoenixes which also one of the most favorite too.

At first I watched legend of fei because of princess agents but later it became one of my favorite drama. I love this drama so much and also Xie Yun and Fei are my favorite Chinese couple. Try watching the untamed, ashes of love, Duolou continent, love and redemption, the journey of flower and lastly the demi gods and semi devil's 2019 version only then will u realize u've been missing a lot

Luoyang ( Wind from Luoyang) is beautifully made . Excellent actors and 5000 Tang Dynasty costumes. IQIYI rating 7 after Qing Ling changes . Feel it rating should be above 9. International viewers gave 9.7 rating . The drama currently is in its 28 episode.
Nah they were CHEAP. They tried to save money by copying Japanese architecture instead of building new things. In china this drama is hated by a lot of people because they bragged about being historically accurate when in reality they were appropriating Japanese culture.

The Longest Day in Chang an and The Rebel Princess both cost a lot of money. But no mention of popularity. I didn't like either one very much for various reasons. Ruyi's love in the Palace and Nirvana in Fire are my favorites of the ones I have seen that are listed. I want to see Three Kingdoms
I absolutely loved Nirvana, one of my favorites overall, I have watched it twice. Haven't seen Red Mansions... Loved Three Kingdoms as well. I'm not as fond of more recent historicals, so I haven't seen My Chief and My Regiment, though I am quite familiar with the war, as I do like war documentaries. I have not seen Empress of China but I will look for it in Eng. Subs. I saw Ruyi's Royal Love, but I don't think I have seen this Legend of Ruyi.. It looks like something I would like to see. Haven't seen Yang Guifei. I enjoyed Legend of Fei quite a lot, but can appreciate the criticism. I like Zanilia Zhao and I enjoyed Princess Agents. I loved the Longest Day in Chang'an. I found myself trying to solve everything ahead of the story. I have not seen the Rebel Princess.. but I like Zhang ZiYi, so I will definitely look for this (Eng Subs,)

For me is Ruyi's "Royal Love of Palace" "The Promise of Chang'An" and "The Dragon Pearl" The pictures are clear and the plots are exiting I do not care for war movies! The pictures are so jumbled and too much explosions you could hardly see who are those combat enemies and the leading men! It is too much of imagination not satisfactorily for "vision"

No. Based on the novel there's a continuum. But in terms of the drama that's about it. Zly isn't willing to film 2nd part and no fans is willing to watch s2 if the main cast isn't in it.

The ones that may give her a more establish and prominent awards.

The main criticism, from public, was the low quality it produced when the budget was very huge. It's a S+ production but the result was pretty much a disappointment. Even zly posted about the script, she used the hanburger comparison picture. Most weren't happy with her dubbed voice. And yb couldn't memorize his lines so his voice was dubbed and sometimes it wouldn't match his mouth. I didn't make these up. Also, they had fan war a few months back when it was rumored that those two may collaborate again. It was crazy and I was very much surprised and shocked there was a fan war since the fans seemed to like the collab and supported them prior to the release of Fei and during Fei.

Legend of Fei cast were very impressive to the point where I wanted another drama with the same leads since script was pretty weak.. But i know fans of both fandom won't let that happen (even the female lead posted on her weibo giving hint that script was changed)

Rebel Princess is absolutely stunning, the story is incredible, the main leads and the supporting actors are phenomenal, the set , costumes, ost and cinematography are all breathtaking. It really is a masterpiece. It is a beautiful love story that I have watched more then once. I would highly recommend .

Legend of Fei was watched worldwide by 5.9 billion people . It was Thailand top drama in 2021 and will be shown in 2022 as Legend of Love ( renamed) in Japan . My favourite drama. To international fans it is a successful drama .
Really surprised that China viewers didn’t give higher ratings to Zhao Liying and Wang Yibo who acted well. I feel that the company didn’t promote the show extensively as Untamed did. Maybe due to budget reason. Love Legend of Fei .
@Anant radhe I felt like beating them, out of all yibo’s movies, he has the best chemistry with zhao liying, he was so happy while shooting even during their happy camp and ddu. I was so mad when they did that because I feel it affected yibo emotionally and he might not be like that again 😪.

Loved Nirvana in Fire watched it three times already. The script, actors and cinematography is excellent. It was worth the money spent. Shout out to Hu Ge and the actor who plays Kia Jiang and the Emperor.

( I assume you mean the netflix "phoenix" drama which I loved as well). IMO those two dramas were outstanding from beginning to end). Not in same category, if you like good character driven historicals, in a more up to date but not modern, try "Like a Flowing River" part one. Part two was good too. Also "Mining Town"; same genre.

Its just so suprising the Legend of Fei had such a high budget but such LOW production quality? I mean the CGI especially…was so bad for a 2020 drama especially. Seems like a large majority of the budget went to the cast pay and not the costumes, set design, etc. Yibo is my favorite so im not hating on him or the acting, but the drama really lacked on screen quality. Especially in comparison to other dramas with less budget?
The costume and makeup for the bad guys in the beginning had me rolling on the floor laughing.

lol I’m fan of Yibo and watched the whole Legend of Fei and come on people does this look like a high budget drama??? It looked very cheap (you must admit it) and the fact that it was written by 9 screenwriters led to sometimes chaotic and boring plot. It’s still getting rave reviews and being watched by many
TU had a very low budget ($30,000,000) but it became one of the highest-earning dramas of 2019. A good budget could have pushed this drama to a 10/10 easily. Anyway TU is a masterpiece for me. I just turned a blind eye to some of the mistakes ❤

I freaking love legend of fei, the chemistry between yibo and Zhao liying is too cute,so natural like they enjoyed filming together unlike others where you can clearly tell it's fan service and they have to edit and create candies just for it to be realistic. But lof doesn't need all that, they all did an amazing job and gave us the sweetest love story,no weak female lead and a very caring sweet boy who would do anything for her😻🥰💚💚💚

I liked Legend of Fei but I thought the actress was too old for the role. She’s 35 playing a 15 year old. It was hard to picture her as a teen.

The Longest Day in Chang an and The Rebel Princess both cost a lot of money. But no mention of popularity. I didn't like either one very much for various reasons. Ruyi's love in the Palace and Nirvana in Fire are my favorites of the ones I have seen that are listed. I want to see Three Kingdoms

I absolutely loved Nirvana, one of my favorites overall, I have watched it twice. Haven't seen Red Mansions... Loved Three Kingdoms as well. I'm not as fond of more recent historicals, so I haven't seen My Chief and My Regiment, though I am quite familiar with the war, as I do like war documentaries. I have not seen Empress of China but I will look for it in Eng. Subs. I saw Ruyi's Royal Love, but I don't think I have seen this Legend of Ruyi.. It looks like something I would like to see. Haven't seen Yang Guifei. I enjoyed Legend of Fei quite a lot, but can appreciate the criticism. I like Zanilia Zhao and I enjoyed Princess Agents. I loved the Longest Day in Chang'an. I found myself trying to solve everything ahead of the story. I have not seen the Rebel Princess.. but I like Zhang ZiYi, so I will definitely look for this (Eng Subs,)

You missed The Legend of Xiao Chuo (Mandarin PinYin: Yan Yun Tai). High budget and extremely good. Story is interesting and covers a historically significant period in a kingdom that might have been forgotten.

The ones that may give her a more establish and prominent awards.

The main criticism, from public, was the low quality it produced when the budget was very huge. It's a S+ production but the result was pretty much a disappointment. Even zly posted about the script, she used the hanburger comparison picture. Most weren't happy with her dubbed voice. And yb couldn't memorize his lines so his voice was dubbed and sometimes it wouldn't match his mouth. I didn't make these up. Also, they had fan war a few months back when it was rumored that those two may collaborate again. It was crazy and I was very much surprised and shocked there was a fan war since the fans seemed to like the collab and supported them prior to the release of Fei and during Fei.

I didn't think that I would enjoy watching this drama but ended up really appreciating just how talented these actors were, especially Wang Yibo ....very talented actor for such a young man! From what I understand he didn't have any formal training as an actor.

I love high quality Chinese drama TV series. They look stunningly beautiful and good stories to watch.
