- Sorry if you guys were expecting another lee gon and tae eul edit. I was struggling with song choice and honestly sin jae was stealing my attention.
Ever since episode 8 when he and his mom were talking at the restaurant and they were both in tears, I became so invested in his story. His background was heartbreaking. I wondered where he felt he belonged and which mother he would want to stay with. He’s a good cop, he takes care of his mom and he’s so soft for tae eul. I know they won’t end up together but that sad piano music that plays during their scenes makes me hope they don’t lose their close friendship. He’s been through so much pain in both worlds, he deserves happiness! Imagine waking up as a different kid and believing your whole childhood was a terrible dream. And his new life wasn’t any easier. He even became a cop because he was so scared of people questioning his identity.
In my opinion, he is the most fleshed out supporting (main?) character. This dude is such a good actor, the look in his eyes is so real. Thank you Kim Kyung-nam.
(Also, as I was editing, I noticed their police chief keeps disappearing all the time and lying about it. where does he go???) (edit after finale: that was a disappointing reveal lol. I guess it was meant to be a red herring.)

Sorry couldn't help but interfere (yes I'm back again coz I love your work!) that I also wondered the same xD I literally laughed when you mentioned it in your description. But we did get an answer at the end after all, just a teeny bit sad that all the characters couldn't be explored properly due to the main complexity, would've loved to have seen more Nari, Eun Seop or Jangmi, but all good ^^

@@bpwinces hahah just seeing this now, I sooo agree the drama was too epic to give everyone equal attention. Also the reason for the captain's disappearance fell flat for me after all the suspicious behaviour he had been showing. If he was just helping someone out, there was no reason to lie to his wife about it :/

Sooo good! And honestly Shin Jae lowkey should've been the main his story/character was just so well fleshed out, as you said. I was invested in his story and happiness.

just finished the drama and had to come watch edits of kang sinjae. he's literally a little kid who needed a hug and be told everything will be alright. definitely my fav character from the drama and i love this to bits! ❤

idk if anyone here has watched 'where stars land' but if you did, do you think oh dae-gi and sin-jae (who were both played by kim kyung-nam), have the exact same personalities? they casted the perfect actor
My heart tilts between Jo Yeong and Kang Sin-Jae as fav characters in TKEM, and this video is so absolutely brilliant it makes my heart bend to KSJ's side a little further. His story is beautiful, touching, could have made a drama on its own. KKN is perfect for the role. I didn't know him before TKEM, but then I learned he comes from a theatre background and it's really clear to me now. I just want to hug him and tell him that everything's gonna be ok.
