Totally agree. This bag looks great but I dont like the jacquard fabric because of the pilling issue and the synthetic nylon strap. If this bag costs around $700, that's worth it but not $1200.😄
I just bought the other version. Aware of your points before I bought but it is such a beauty. Hard to resist. Have used for two weeks and for the first time, received 100% praises from 5-6 friends. So you are right also to point out it does look pretty nice. 🤣👏👏👏

I personally would recommend any of the men’s Dior saddle bags or the oblique tapestry backpacks. They hold their value really well and will stand the tests of time. Since the saddle is a classic style & backpacks are just generally timeless, those are my top picks.
@@sq9779 For traditional pouches, I usually am not a fan of something that cannot be worn crossbody - there is a lot of risk of damaging materials with touching, grease, dirt, ect from constant contact with hands (especially with hand sanitizer and alcohols). From the saddle pouch styles (that can be worn crossbody), I think they're cute but are very trendy which to me means they will fizzle out soon but are still a cool style to have if you don't mind owning a major trend piece. I would definitely steer more toward the classic calfskin or classic oblique saddle bag from women's side of the collections and purchase an oblique strap to carry it crossbody (all on my wishlist!).

I still might go ahead and purchase as I have a dior sweatshirt and y shirt . I’m surprised I can’t see many on the after market , but I’d rather buy directly so I know it’s real
the dior website say for this item "Removable and adjustable 'Christian Dior' nylon jacquard and black grained calfskin shoulder strap" so it should have came with two straps?
Unfortunately they’re just referring to the small leather detail on the strap. It’s not referring to two different straps. The models in the advertisements wearing the bag featured a leather strap - disappointed with the nylon and no option for the same.
Agreed! This is something I’ve had to learn to get over though - most bags are coming out with nylon straps. I think it’s a utility thing but I still prefer leather.

I have a similar example: the Dior Sling bag for 2050.00. You can get a similar bag on Amazon for 40.00. So 50 X more expensive.

I agree; not worth it. OMG Over $1000 for that. The nerve of Dior to price tag that bag; it looks like it's worth $250; $500 at most.
Don’t get me wrong - the piece was great. The biggest drawback for me was the strap & wonky zipper.
