This is such a bizarre yet intriguing passion project, copyright aside this would make a great Steam game.
Honestly though- swap out Garfield and have the plot just be: "you're a guy whose cat has mutated." From the description, there's a gameplay loop and mystery which both sound super intriguing!

He is kind of Dealer. You bring him Meat, he offers you 3 random items, however, if you fail in amount of meat, he would be agressive or even attack you. I think those secret mettings is after some days, becuase it hard to collect pounds of meat in one day.

Here’s some stuff to imagine would occur if this were a real game
Plot
Jon is a detective who is assisted (vaguely) by Garfield’s ghost who possessed a pile of meat, which gets bigger and resembles his body overtime as Jon brings him more meat.
Garfield doesn’t give any form of help unless he is given the amount of meat he demands, but will be more helpful than usual if given more meat than necessary. If Jon dies, he is revived with the spare meat from Garfield’s body as a sort of replacement for any lost flesh upon death. Garfield expects double the meat he last demanded every time Jon is revived, and a day is lost. If Garfield is down to his last possible size (called “pile of meat”) and Jon dies again, Garfield will give the last of him up to revive Jon, but he considers Jon’s inability to use Garfield’s help ever again as the ultimate payment for his constant screw ups.

Your mistaken, you forgot Jon lost his real eye three days ago, and with the socket still open it will soon be infected. The glass eye needs to be taken, cleaned, and inserted.

My idea of each of the consequences:
- Glass eye: Because it glimmers in the dark, enemies might be able to spot you in the dark while you wear it.
- Old car battery: The 'odd smell' is most probably petrol or gasoline or some type of oil. That means if you get close to fire with it, it'll set the oil and you'll blow yourself up. So places that even have slight risks of catching on fire or are partially on fire that would normally be alright for you to pass will be blocked to you with the car battery.
- Bird's nest: I don't think the creature inside will be necessarily hostile towards you, however, it might start making noises and will attract unwanted attention.
As for the advantages, I think perhaps the glass eye helps you see more clearly or widen your view or maybe make things brighter in the dark so you can see better due to its glimmer. Or maybe the types of enemies make it so the light will drive some of them away, or maybe it's meant to be used as a distraction. The car battery can power up electronic devices, allowing more access to gadgets you'd normally not be able to get your hands on, like a vehicle or a communication device. Or you could just bash someone's head in with it. It's pretty damn heavy after all. The bird's nest is a bit tricky. If there's something like a sanity meter in the game, maybe the creature's company will slow down its depletion time. Or maybe the creature is able to attack and ward off enemies. Or it could also be used as a distraction. Cruel, but possible and not that unlikely.
more like advantages with drawbacks, i imagined it to be like this:
picking an item will help you go pass this problem, but in consequence, something horrible will happen, like the dead of a beloved one, to be more specific, the death of a friendly npc who helps you during your journey (and the consequences of gameplay due to it's death)
let's make a few examples
-let's say you use the glass eye on the sewers in order to fix or iluminate something to allow your escape from your death at the hands of something horrible...next day, we see Nermal on a walk when he sees something shining near a sewer tunel under a bridge, he comes close to pick the shiny object, just to be taken but the monster inside the tunel
-if we pick the old car battery, we end up in a series of events that lead to jon either hurt or knocked out (like an explosion, car accident, etc) whatever we did, it atracted the atention of something unwanted, and Oddie decides to become a bait, and takes the danger as much far as he can, we never know it's fate, but we never see him again
-if we pick the nest, we use it as a distraction to deal with a certain monster, we don't know wht the monster does to you, we only know that it kills you, we obtain a way to get enough time, and obtain an item that will allow us to exterminate the monster, and seek whatever we needed, we know the birds are death....next night we see liz walking on the street when she finds a nest with something moving and making noises...she picks it up to see what's inside, meaby if those are babys she can help them grow stronger to return to the wild, after all she is a vet...then vet is killed by the monster we thought we killed, or by the hand of whatever lies in the nest now

• You chose the *glass eye.*
• You place it in your pocket, your mind telling you that you’re going to need it in the future.
• You start to head home, however the street lights are malfunctioning. They soon shut off, leaving the streets shrouded in darkness, with only the light from inside the nearby houses to barely help you get back. You try to make your way back home while squinting your eyes and carefully walking on the pavement, but you accidentally trip over a concrete slab sticking upwards out of the sidewalk.
• You fall, not knowing that a large shard of broken glass from a smashed beer bottle was on the pavement, soon finding itself lodged deeply into your left eye. You writhe in pain, quietly shouting curse words to yourself as you feel the burning feeling of pain in your left eye socket. All you can see through it was the outline of the glass shard lodged in it and most beautiful shade of red one can ever see, all jokes aside.
• You finally gain the courage to just take out the glass from you socket after about a minute, as the eye now proved useless since, well, a huge piece of glass practically impaled it.
• The glass is so deep into it, that when you take it finally out, the whole eye gets removed from the socket entirely, retina and all. You can feel your blood run down from your cheeck and then to your chin and neck. A warm, thick liquid that soon felt cold against the autumn wind. You can even feel it stain your dress shirt, the amount of blood gushing from your socket was unfathomable.
• You can feel the weight of the eyeball hang from your eye socket, and with another wave of courage (and maybe a bit of stupidity), you rip out your eye, knowing that’s it’s use for vision is pointless now. You held it in your hand, both your hand and eye drenched with blood. You put it in the empty meat sack you used to give meat for Garfield, knowing that it’s something that can get you ahead in your objective he tasked you.
• *”Not the most unique thing he’s probably tasted, but I have a feeling he’s probably going to like it. Besides, Lyman definitely won’t last forever, so it’s best to start collecting now then later.”*
• You wonder what you’re going to do now, since becoming half blind in one side of your face wasn’t really on the agenda, but then you remember. The glass eye! You pull it out of your pocket and place it in your empty eye socket. And with a feeling of absolutely shock, your vision was brought back, but with a twist…
• You obtained *heat vision.*
• Mostly everything in your vision on the left side was a blue hue since it such a rather cold evening, however you catch a glimpse of a string of heat just out of the corner of your eye, vaguely resembling a cat’s tail.
• You turn to confront it, but it disappears and you suddenly hear a voice in the back of your head. A deep, raspy voice resembling a man with a Brooklyn accent.
• *”I told you...your choices have consequences...Jon.”*

You start heading back to your house to end the night when all of a sudden, the battery starts malfunctioning.
You get heavily electrocuted and almost die, your body is now permanently numb.
You decide to carry it using rubber from now on, and realise that you no longer feel pain. (You still can get hurt, you just won't feel it)
You're reaction time lowers and you have no sense of touch, but you now have an infinite amount of pain tolerance.
You stumble back home, getting used to your new way of life. And outside your window you see 2 glowing yellow eyes.
You hear a voice in your head say: *Your actions have consequences Jon...*
* you chose the *bird nest*
* Feeling you can make the most out of it, you decide to take the nest.
* On your way home, you cross path with a hug black hound that jumps of you before it even start growling. It almost bites your face off, but you manage to put your hand in the way. It gets shredded by the huge dog's teeth.
* You say your prayers, thinking this is the end, but the bird nest, which fell out of your pocket when the hound pinned you on the ground, starts pulsating, and a tendril of flesh stabs through the hound's head, killing it instantly.
* The nest the uses the tendril to crawl toward you, somehow looking exhausted. You decide not to try understanding what just happened, and rip your sleeve to make a bandage for your hand. You hear a voice in your head.
* *Be careful who you help, John. This kind of decisions have consequences.*

For those who haven’t played “The dark fields of Gorefield” your gonna want to pick this birds nest as soon in the game as you can. The bird inside is a mutated pigeon that, after 3 more night encounters with gorefield, can be harvested for 30 pounds of meat. Helped me out a lot in the end game.

The car battery actually ends up being the best of all if you've maxed your intelligence. You can set up quite a number of traps to get a ton of meat late game.
Makes sense
You probably got good RNG rolls for your meat. I've had single nights that have taken upwards of 40 pounds. The car battery is the best, most optimized strategy and allows for even more terrifying but rewarding scenarios.

This would make a wonderful steam game! I just wanna put a bit of thought into this and flesh out the Story!
The title of the game is "Gorefield." Just that. The plot is you, Jon, (No matter what you name your character in the title screen, Gorefield will always call you Jon) have been the victim of this Universe's Gorefeild. He only shows up at your location at 12:00AM, he adapts to the situation, too. At the smallest, he's the size of an average house cat. At his true form, aboutntne sizs of a minivan. Every night, at 12AM sharp, he shows up, greeting you in a friendly and charismatic tone. He always askes the same question: "You got the goods?" He always asks for meat, lots of it! And if you meet the daily requirements, he'll let you survive. Under the requirement? He'll ask for double tomorrow. No meet? You, will die. But! If you outdo yourself, he'll help you out. What does he help you out with? To find the Secret Lasagna, a Lasagna that can let him proceed into the afterlife. Each night, Gorefield will demand more and more meat, 10 pound increments. Early game, its easy to get meat. Use loose change or work at a part-time job to earn money, and buy meat, kill small animals, such as squirrels or bunnies, and their will be meat in your fridge when you start the game. But! Buying meat or killing animals won't cut it eventually. You'll eventually have to kill HUMANS. Human's can give you over 50 pound of pure meat, discarding bones, tissues, organs, and fat, Gorefeild only wants the main stuff. You have to work fast, too! The increments will keep getting higher and higher. To outdo yourself, you have to get an extra 5-10 pounds of meat, and he'll give you one of three items.
Eyeball: Lets you have a third eye, can watch behind your back, or place it in designated areas to spy.
Eggs Nest: Take care of it, and don't let it die, and it can be something devastating.
Car Battery: Fixes your car, can get around much quicker around the game. But you'll still need to buy gas.
Once you picked your item, Gorefield will demand more if Jon wants to see the lead. The lead, will be a map to the Secret Lasagna recipe. And its all across the world. Time is still a thing when your travelling! So you'll still need to appease him. You can't really work part time jobs to buy meat, so you'll have to rely on animals or humans. There are a few ways to kill humans.
1. Kitchen Knife.
It can be found in your home, it does the job, but it takes a long time.
2. Poisoning.
Much much faster, but can contaminate parts of the meat.
3. Pistol.
Can be bought at the gun store for a couple hundred of dollars. Kills humans in a few shots. Remember to buy ammo too! Contaminates some meat.
3. Dad's Old Shotgun.
In the attic, you'll find a gun locker. But you need to find a code, and your family knows the four digits. Good luck with that, though. Kills humans in one hit, but two if aimed somewhere besides the head, legs, torso, or chest. Contamimates no meat.
4. Nautual accidents.
Pop a car tire, drug their food, or even just trip them over the stairs! Depends on what you do, it will take longer or contaminate meat.
Finally, you'll arrive at a temple. Temple of Garf. There's writing on the walls thays untelegable, but before you enter the Temple, Gorefield will give you a special gift, a sheet containing the alphbet for the language. Most of the writings are nonsense, but some mention an all powerful God: Ophiuchus. Saying he'l kill us all for our sins. You need that sheet to read the writing, some give you hints where you need to go. KEEP IN MIND. THERE IS NO ANIMALS OR HUMAN IN THE TEMPLE. So either come with some preprepared meat, or time it so right after you appease Gorefiled, go straight into the temple. In the low caverns of the temple, you'll find the recipe, and what specfic ingredients you need.
Fresh italian tomato sauce.
Aged cheese from Paris.
And finally, Fresh Human Meat.
You need to go all over the world to get those ingredients, and remember to scrape up enough meat so you don't get a game over! And once you got all fhe ingredients, make the Lasagna and give it to Gorefield at exacly 12AM.
After he eats it, he'll congratulate you, give you his respect, and offer you a prize for finishing his trail. And like that, you just defeated Gorfield! And you earn his prize.

Gorefield makes me less uncomfortable
Okay, so, been thinking about this concept after reading the comment from @Jesse4060, and here's what I have so far:
The strange plague that's affecting the town is something called 'the Miasma'. It has begun to turn animals into horrid monsters, and causes humans to grow weak and forgetful. If left unchecked, the Miasma will continue to grow and it effects will never be contained.
Enter your character. You wake up in a destroyed house with amnesia. The only clue you have is a wallet you were clutching containing a driver's license for one Jon Arbuckle. Inside are also several photos of this Jon and his pets. You go out to see if these pets are around, only to find the cat outside the house consuming several large birds. It turns around, eyes aglow, and addresses you as Jon. Together, the two of you vow to work together to rediscover the truth of your past together and find a way to stop, or hopefully reverse, the Miasma.
Eventually, during your nightly meetings (imagine you spend the daytime hours doing your own investigations and hunting for meat based on an hour-by-hour time clock), Gorefield asks something like, "Jon, tell me. What was life like before the Miasma? Before this? I'm... starting to forget, Jon. Like I'm watching it through a fog. It ain't right, Jon. Remind me before I forget." This is where you had to have found clues to Jon's past, or Gorefield could turn into an enemy for the rest of the game because, PLOT TWIST: your character was never Jon Arbuckle. You were an investigator who was exposed to the Miasma for too long. There would be no mirrors or reflective surfaces in-game until way close to this moment, so you could not check your face against Jon's.
Oh, and just like Clock Tower, don't try to leave town before it's all over, it'll just result in Gorefield instantly catching you and resulting in a bad ending.
...Man, I'm gung-ho to write a story for this game now! Anyone out there a good programmer? I'm sure Lumpy could animate! :)

Here's what everything does: eye: shows you the basement with 200 pounds of money, and enough meat for the next day only
The old car battery can be used to fast travel making it take only 5 minutes to get to gore field, thus giving you more time to hunt for meat
The birds nest after 3 days will grow into a mutated pigeon which can be sent in for 30 pounds of meat

"I have your lasaga Gurfilder."
"Now please let us go."
Gorefield:
"My my Jonathan."
"You should be aware that this tribute is not sufficent..."

So if you choose the birds nest, you’ll have to not only meet the required amount of meat Gorefield wants, but also have enough to keep whatever is in it alive. It being a little fledgling it might need more than what you’re comfortable giving up.

I like this idea of Gorefield being an outside force in the story Jon’s in. He doesn’t seem to be on either side, and just helps whoever feeds him more.

Hey Lumpy Touch, you should make a game out of these Gorefield videos. You already have plenty of material to work with from past videos. And I would think that the game(s) would turn out fantastic with your art style! Keep up the amazing work.
Hm... The eye might create some illuminating effect or allow hidden places and objects to be seen (In the dark, maybe?) The car battery would likely allow you to temporarily move around Muncie or wherever much quicker, or carry more meat by using a car. And the bird's nest... possibly summon or raise the likelihood of discovering more avian or poultry meat.
If I was confident in my ability to gather meat efficiently, I'd use the Glass Eye, try to top up whatever I DO get or discover more clues/ leads.
If I wasn't, I'd choose the nest, if I'm correct in my assumption.
Or, if I'd over-collected from certain areas or meat is much scarcer, and not concentrated in certain spots, I'd use the car battery.
That is, of course, based off the common tropes of "Gather in X amount of time Y amount of Z in areas A, B, C, and D."
But I might be wrong.

An idea:
I saw a comment saying "What if Garfield just calls everyone Jon?" And this gave me an idea.
What if one day, when going out to buy lasagna for Garfield, Jon gets in a terrible accident and dies. Garfield, grief stricken, creates a pact with a demon to revive Jon. They can't do this, but Garfield attempts to make a new Jon by taking random people from other timelines and attempt to transform them into jon. This could lead to a cool Zero-escape game play style where you go through the lives of many Jons attempting to solve this made-up case Garfield has manufactured to revive Jon. He fails almost every time, and is eventually consumed by the demon. You can also include a scary part near the end of the game where Jon ends up in a meat locker full of the other, half transformed Jons, and have the final confrontation there. Just an idea, this video is really cool!

Makes me wish there was a Detective game where you make deals with eldritch or demonic forces to solve the case but each time you summon them, it affects you in different ways.
Like a demon takee your soul and makes you care less and less about the people you’re helping or having your body contort and deform horrifically as you make choices with Lovecraftian deities.
