Richard Ryder is one of my favorite characters of anything ever. The whole Abnett, Lanning, and Giffen cosmic saga was amazing. I loved it so much. Still some of my favorite stories.
Annihilation was such an awesome story. Before the Guardians of the Galaxy movie came out, people I knew figured it was going to flop, that nobody cared about those characters. But I knew from Annihilation that they were actually pretty fun, and would make for a good space opera.
Gotta love the cosmic story timeline from Annihilation to Thanos Imperative. It made me discover some of the best Marvel heroes, from B-C listers to awesome intergalactic saviors.
I’ve been a RR Nova fan from the beginning! It was a great character development over time with some unique villains like the Sphinx (especially when he manipulated time in New Warriors and had the USA - United States of Africa). I was happy when they brought him back. Go read some of his stories like 0:0, being controlled by the Phalanx and Annihilation. He grew up from nothing high-school kid the Cosmic Sheriff in town.
Can you do the history of zorro, judge dredd, Cassie hack, qwenpool, hit monkey, vamperrella, moon girl & devil dinosaur and league of extraordinary gentlemen
This felt a lot like a classic variant video where you talk about an obscure part of comic lore, it's kinda too bad that this obscure stuff can only be talked about seemingly when it has something to do with a new movie or show coming out.
2:16 That description almost reminds me of the Supreme Intelligence. Anyway, I’m really curious when Nova will make his MCU debut, especially since the Nova Corps has already been introduced.
Nova has always been one of my favorite marvel characters. Fun Fact: did you know that Richard Ryder was actually a fan of Daredevil. My favorite Nova has always been Sam Alexander. yes Richard Ryder may be the first and is a really cool character but I just adore Sam Alexander more I read most of his comics and he, Kamala Khan and Miles Morales are actually my favorite trio in marvel comics.
In regards to the MCU, it's likely that after Carol Danvers was captured and tested. The Kree discovers that she has powers&had been trying to duplicate Vers' powers but weren't successful as they lack the Tesseract. Since the Power stone was surrendered to the Nova Corps by Quill, and with Captain Marvel's assistance and how members of the Guardians of the Galaxy survived by sharing the energy of the Power Stone, the Nova Corps was able to duplicate Carol Danvers' empowerment process. So instead of the Tesseract(Space), the Power Stone was used to empower the MCU version of the Nova Corps resulting in a lesser version of Captain Marvel's powers. When Thanos wiped out the Nova Corps in the Infinity War as mentioned by Thor, it's likely there's a lone survivor or a few more and they were inherited the powers of the dead Nova Corps members and likely Richard Rider became Nova Prime. With the SNAP happening, Carol had help from the remaining members of the Nova Corps as they rebuild themselves. With the BLIP back of the ppl that got dusted, it's likely that the surviving Nova Corps got a power boost when those that returned actually amplified their existing powers to near Captain Marvel's level. Sounds similar to how the Celestials are born in which they use the mental&life energy of the planets and use it to empower&grow their powers.
I like this! Tell me what you think about this instead. Once the Nova Corps obtained and secured the Power Stone, they started using the stone itself to help make them more powerful hence creating their own energy source (Nove Force). The Power Stone was then used to create an elite Nova squad The Supernovas to do the necessary dirty work that the other main Novas wouldn’t be able to and willing to do in order to maintain peace and security in the Galaxy. When Thanos started collecting the Infinity Stones in 2018, Jesse Alexander (Sam’s Father), and Supernova knew about of Thanos’ threat. In order to by his family on Earth time to prepare before Thanos came there, Jesse makes a deal with Thanos, telling him how to take the Power Stone from the Nova Corps, having no choice but letting Xandar be destroyed. Jesse gets captured by the Chitauri and eventually being sold into slavery. The remaining survivors of the Nova core are Richard Rider and Corpsman Dey. The Blip happens and they both have to find Sam Alexander as Jesse left his Supernova helmet with him. They need the helmet to help restore the Nova Corps. The new threat in the present MCU to Richard, Corpsman Dey, and Sam would be Titus and Rieg Davan, two rogue Supernovas that wish to recreate The Nova Corps but only to their shared dictatorship vision, as they don’t want another event like Thanos to occur ever again.
Praying that Guardians 3 finally teases Richard Rider or even Sam Alexander. Infinity War literally set up the origin already, with Thanos allegedly destroying (at least half of) Xandar to get the Power stone.
This is what I think should happen in the MCU. Once the Nova Corps obtained and secured the Power Stone, they started using the stone itself to help make them more powerful hence creating their own energy source (Nove Force). I've watched all the guardians trailers and seen no sign of nova or the corps. Saying right at the end are we happy to see them back in guardians 3, especially if Rich is actually gunna debut, that's a huge spoiler. Honestly that's a really crappy move by this channel to do that. You can assume stuff, and make theories sure, but it really sounded like you had insider info on this. That's really not cool to do, as i feel that would be a huge spoiler for the fan base, especially as Rich is a massive character in the comics. I hope this is just a theory and you haven't spoiled a huge thing for many people.
Remember when john c reilly (nova prime) said in talladega nights “sometimes you get hit on the head and get super powers. It happens. Read a comic book”? Well…😅😅😅😅😅
Knowing Thanos, he would have wiped out half of the population of Xandar. Now the other half of the population of Xandar possibly including the Nova Corps are looking for another planet to call New_Xandar
The og Nova should have just use his powers for what he wants, if you give a teen super powers, he will do what ever he wants with them and no one would stop him.
2:30 unique ? Are we sure about that ? Because that sounds a LOT like what the Kree do with their Supreme Intelligence. I guess the Nova corps just took the democracy route from the same basic hivemind idea.
Why is the first Nova a Centeurian, it would be more intresting if he was just starting or was a rebel who stole the Centeurian mantel because they are more intresting and he is left to the side.
When the nova movie hits ill be able to pass away from this earth my dream would have come true..Only if richard ryder is the guy not alexander what ever..SInce im a kid from the 70s im one of the few nova fans
Can you do history of the characters mentioned in this video? So when are you going to do history of Nova the Human Rocket Richard Rider and Sam Alexander?
Since you did the history of Midnight Man, Are you going to do history of other Moon Knight villains like Arthur Harrow, Shadow Knight, Bushman, the Zodiac Cartel, Stained Glass Scarlet, Moon_Shade and the Sun-King?
Are you going to do history of Jentorra, Kryler(played by Bill Murray), Multiple Man, Cassie Lang as Stature/Stinger and the city of Chronopolis in honour of the Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumainia movie?
Can you do history of the Elementals, Cyclone and Sandman along with Kurt Conners the Lizard, Rhino, Kraven the Hunter, Chameleon, Scorpion and the Human Fly along with the Tinkerer, Alistair Smythe the Ultimate Spider Slayer, Living_Brain, and Prowler?
Richard Ryder is one of my favorite characters of anything ever. The whole Abnett, Lanning, and Giffen cosmic saga was amazing. I loved it so much. Still some of my favorite stories.
100% AGREE.
Sames, I'm trying to make a stop-motion series for Nova, hoping the powers that be will make it into a live action series
Nova is easily on my top 5 marvel hero list. They did him justice in the marvel games
Mvc3 really did him justice with those hype ass voice lines
@Monkehotdogs CENTURIAN RUSH! (never knew CENTURIAN was a nova Corp rank makes more sense now)
If Nova doesn't scream "YA LIKE THAT?!" at least once, i'm rioting.
POWER OF THE NOVA FORCE

Nice umvc3 reference FOOTDIVE!

NOVA FORCE FULL THROTTLE!!!!
Nova is one of my favorite characters in marvel. The characters aesthetic and powers is everything i like in a character
@Reese Madrid oh my goodness lol damn typo 🤣🤣
I really like Nova as well, mainly because Green Lantern is my favorite DC hero and Nova Corps are basically Marvels version of Green Lantern corps.
Which nova tho lol Richard or Sam if you say sam your not a real nova fan just saying....
@@macgruberyahfrigginturds7044 I like Richard over sam but you can't ask and determine someone's opinion lmao

I like world minds. I was actually introduced to it offhanded from Hickman's X-Men and it sounded so cool

They did Nova so well in the Guardians of the Galaxy game
