To me, the report that DeMar would rise alone, couple of hours earlier than his Olympic teammates, and head out into Brazil to find a gym to get extra work before practice is ... amazing. Choosing to carve out his whole career in a city and country that has never won a championship ... A quiet and earnest man. He deserves what he gets. :)

I hope this video helps Raptors fans forget about Vince Carter. I am a Vince Carter fan (amazing athlete), don't get me wrong, but DeMar is the all time greatest Raptor. He grew up on the opposite side of the continent, but chose/wanted to stay here - even when things were bad. Vince Carter grew up in Florida, and never gave a shit about Toronto. DeMar will bring us a championship! If not, I am still grateful to have him represent this team, and thankful that we have him.

maybe you're right Harjot. Perhaps VC had more athleticism, and God given talent, than DeMar. But DeMar cares about this city, this team, more than Vince ever did. DeMar's work ethic AND EFFORT, night in and night out, is comparable to Kobe Bryant.
Vince Carter brought me to the game & loving the Raps growing up. It was one helluva ride in the VC years, but could never forgive him for quitting on the team! VC was ME first! while DD is TEAM first!
