    Airmatic won’t lower with the doors open. That’s not the lowered position. That’s jacked right up. It should be a couple inches lower than that in sport mode and ADS set to sport.

    Do you recommend replacing panel buttons without going to a dealer to do so? I have a 2014 GL550, and I need to replace the driver side window open/close button, the air flow up & air flow down buttons on the front panel, and the red end call button on the panel. Can you share a video on this? And where to purchase replacement buttons.

      I recommend doing anything cosmetic/inside yourself. I needed a latch for my console. A latch that broke inside. Non dealership places told me to buy the console on eBay and then another $600 labor so $1000 bucks. The dealership would have charged me $1500-1700 bucks. I did it myself for $13 dollars and torx bits were like another $12 dollars. Find a TH-cam video and do it yourself. The dealership will always get the whole everything instead of just the broken spring, latch, whatever. Trust me on this one. I was so proud of myself when I did it myself. It was a big fuk you to all those bs lying ass mechanics who rob you blind

    It is a beautiful car but I have heard that it suffers from reliability issues, unfortunately.

    • @Nikolasto77

      I would love to believe that they are built to last. Unfortunately, I have heard several accounts that the air suspension goes out before 100,000 miles and many tech glitches and smelly air conditioning system, among other things.

      If you only keep your cars for a few years and then trade up, this car will probably be fine for you. But if you like to keep your cars for at least 10 years or longer, these GLs can be a little problematic and very pricey to fix. But if you are ok with that, they are fun to drive and so luxurious.

      @@Nikolasto77 Any car that come with air suspension will have problems with it especially if it's adjustable such as firmness and corner stabilization. Tesla range Rover Audi all have problems later on with their shocks. Luckily there are plenty of aftermarket companies rebuilding or making brand new shocks for less then half the price that of a dealer. On my e55 amg dealer wants 1000$ for one strut I can buy both front brand new for less then 700$ same goes for rear. On my daily e500 I changed front struts at 150k miles rear are still original at 163k miles so I can't complain

      @Nikolasto77 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nawzy202 If you can do the work yourself and diy a lot of the issues, then that is good because you'll save thousands. Can the air struts be serviced by the average person?

    • @nawzy202
      @nawzy202 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Nikolasto77 They are rebuildable but in my opinion not worth doing it your self unless you know all the parts you need where to order and assemble . Few companies sell rebuild ones for 550$ both front with your old ones as a return core charge. I know Arnott offers lifetime warranty they use Firestone rubber the same type they use in semi trucks it's really thick and durable. They are also are little bit stiffer then OEM which people tend to prefer as it makes the car ride batter
