  • A 20-year-old woman has died in Myanmar after she was shot by police. It's the first death among opponents of the military coup, since they began protesting two weeks ago. Mya Thwate Thwate Khaing was shot in the head during anti-coup demonstrations and had been on life support for 10 days. International pressure has also been growing on the nation's military generals. The UK and Canada have announced fresh sanctions against military officials for human rights violations by freezing their assets and imposing travel bans.

If you see a 100s child knowing they are getting brutally raped and do nothing in way of reporting it due you own selfishness! And you don't speak out or report the crime make you equivalently to blame as the perpetrators! Thus guilty! If she was truly noble which you people art she would have spoke out! What's the worse what would have happened??? Same as what's happening anyway! The world is not stupid.. where was the three finger salute and the pots and pans when the genocide was happening?? There is no sympathy for you untill you repent and fix what you broke! The world is watching..😡 you call that a leader that defended the military in the Hague courts and called them kind! @Alfred Wang Sarcasm?
      Myanmar is different from Thailand in many ways.
      1. We have democratically elected governement won by a lanslide victory (82% of the votes).
      2. Even under the coup, we have Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) which acts as a parallel government (I don't know the exact word) to the Military.
      3. We are not divided & u can see doctors, engineers & elites against the coup (which is the main difference).
      4. Min Aung Hlaing is a criminal who commited genocide & so on.

    • @christophersmith9040
      @christophersmith9040 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Alfred Wang Thialand people did not do Civil Disobedience Movement or CDM (means not going to governent work crippling the system) because the elite are not against the junta. Protesting on the streets is not the answer against bloody thirsty genocide committing junta. CDM is the answer & that's why I believe Myanmar is far more different from Thailand.

    There has also been another death recently. A night guard was in his duty time at the time and a car full of police/soldiers stopped in front of the guard. When the guard asked them where they're planning to go, one of the soldiers on the car aimed at the guard and shot him right through his face. The bullet poked through the guard's eye and skull and died on spot. PLEASE PLEASE I BEG YOU ALL TO HELP US STOP THIS INJUSTICE AND VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS. THIS IS EXTREMELY BRUTAL FOR soldiers to be over exercising their power and killing innocent citizens. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!

    The question is, who's giving support to the military for them to have such courage for what they're doing? There must be something that pushes these military people to be that brave given that their people wants democracy and peace. Some leaders should help this country get back to life. I couldn't imagine the suffering of these people from covid and peace and order of their respective country. I wish y'all peace and good health, Myanmar.

      China. 2 days ago, soldiers were shooting civilians at night in Mandalay. Those soldiers were speaking in Chinese. A protester tried to enter a military tank. The soldiers asked him to go away. Those soldiers cannot speak in Burmese. They are all wearing masks.

    UK, Canada, USA sanctions !!! Yes more countries need to get involved. Do not wait for China and Russis to jump in. This is an international issue. I hope ASEAN counties join in solidarity for democracy . Especially all Myanmar's neighbors counties, China (if they support democracy), India , Thailand, Laos & Bangladesh. Even MONKS are protesting that rarely ever happens. Love from 🇺🇸 🇹🇭 ❤❤

    .. I wonder whether the soldier/the policeman who pulled the trigger, the shot that had taken a girl's life .. realized what he had done .. and whether he even cared at all.
    .. she never knew what that hit her or that she was even hit .. as she never regained her consciousness.

    A month ago, sang San suu kyi went to China to ask for help in setting up manufacturing and education for Myanmar. Now suddenly the Myanmar military overthrew the sang San suu kyi government.
    This is similar to the case in Egypt when Mubarak after 30 years of supporting the US decided to turn to China. Hilary Clinton supported Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood and Morsi was elected president. As president Morsi decided the first country he would visit was China and not the US. Hilary Clinton was livid. A month later, the Egyptian military overthrew the democratically elected Morsi and took over the government.
    Sound familiar. ?
