Or SSX 3, the Citadel bar in ME2 has a tune from there. Makes sense as they're all EA games, they probably just thought, "Eh, just throw in some techno, we've probably got some lying around on some hard drive somewhere."
I've definitely heard this song in Mass Effect and Need For Speed. But I remember it in Mass Effect more because of how they looped the song and with how much I ended up in that club
For reals. My favorite thing to do was turn down the music and play my own isht see how well the dancers synced up. Crazy Wizard of Oz/Dark Side of the Moon...
To anybody that didn't hear this in NFSC,it actually plays during some races when you are driving an exotic and a tier 3 muscle/exotic passes your car.Bosses don't work though
cuz muscle is where it's at, they wanted to shame the exotics! XD nah really, they were all suited to other things, i am better with acceleration so i ALWAYS chose the muscle as my starter car.
@FT59012 Indeed. In ME2, there was a club called Afterlife, where a track called "Lo Fi Epic" by Jesse James Allen was playing. People really dug it, the moment Afterlife's doors opened and that track fully kicked in was epic. I didn't think it could get better, but the first time I entered Purgatory in ME3 and the same thing happened, but this time with this track, I was proven wrong... Great choice!
Yes, those are the best overall cars (I beat the game with an SLR, in fact.) But, in an acceleration contest, the Viper would win. Good luck getting one of those around a corner, though...
So true! I'm still playing the game on my Pc and is so hard to drive a Viper for me that i'm used to drive tuners and more precisely my ae86 corolla bonus car!
it should of been paradigm shift from nfs highstakes. But i'm biased cause i've been listening to the soundtrack ever since i got the game (i was pretty stoked at hearing Callista in mass effect 2). still, that's some sick beats there. this song is worthy in my books for mass effect 3 nightclub.
Is there a specific genre one could equate this too. I'm somewhere close with "intelligent dnb" but dont get the wubs or club like vibe that this outs off.
@kaseycutie12 If they played in any of the local club along with Hard Drivers (instrumental version), Hive music from DE:HR and Lo Fi Epic... I think they would acquire some regular visitors :D
@nrblackmonk4 Techno and Electro are also made by computers. Dubstep does come in many forms but I would have to say that this sounds like electro in my opinion. I love it all so call it what you want but I call all of these things AWESOME!!! =D
According to what I can just pull out of my hat right now, it was for more control over the Sahrabarik system, thus more control over the Omega 4 relay and the recovery operations for the Collector base. I would have to double check the Mass Effect: Invasion comic again to be absolutely sure, though. But hey, I am on board with aydo15000's explanation, anyway. ^^
on the search for good music to post on my channel. BTW it is only vids that I think u should watch and music u should listen to. Shout out to JackSlajer and Esketrak.
Apparently all Mass Effect nightclubs get their music from Need for Speed.

@@SorakuFett probably the best decision they've made since YEARS
The upper section of Afterlife in ME2 got it's music from Need for Speed High Stakes
Yup!
We are Legion and this is our most desired audio compilation on the Citadel.
NOICE.
I like how EA used this track both for carbon and mass effect 3
I'm the Illusive Man and this is my favorite nightclub on the citadel.

This is when a AI rival in a Tuner car (Rotor 4, Scorpio,SS or Bushido) it overtakes you.
It also works when on example you drives Tuner car in a race, but you're still not first.
This is actually the Tuner theme of Sounding Streets.
This song really reminds me of the soundtrack from Midnight Club 2, another excellent street racing game with amazing music.
I'm The Harbinger and this is my favourite harvesting song.
we are bioware and we approve of this track, if only fans approved of out ending...
this song is now also played in mass effect 3, in the citadel nightclub purgatory.
I`m not Commander Shepard, but I like this song.

Makes me wanna get drunk, pass out and then wake up in an elevator
Believe it or not i saw this on the wheeler dealers too.. hah. Knew i heard it somewhere before, yay ME3!
You're right. It's on the episode with a BMW Z1.
This is so good!
Had the NFS soundtrack on autoplay, and suddenly I'm in Purgatory? Nostalgic whiplash.

ME: Flux music terrible
ME2: Afterlife bottom floor music was great. Top floor music good, but not as good!
ME3: This music never gets old
Ah so Commander Shepard went from racing turf wars to fighting Reaper Wars, lol :)
thumbs up if your not listening to this, your living this.
Listening to this song makes me want to play ME3 again...
2:04 For the main part of it.
Mass Effect 3 brought me here. I am Commander Shepard and this is my favorite song on the citadel
kick ass track man love this shit
it should of been paradigm shift from nfs highstakes. But i'm biased cause i've been listening to the soundtrack ever since i got the game (i was pretty stoked at hearing Callista in mass effect 2). still, that's some sick beats there. this song is worthy in my books for mass effect 3 nightclub.
I had no idea that this was a real song!! Beyond awesome. =D
ME3 FTW.
Dayum. EA reused a track. But this shit be bumpin. Almost as good as Techno 3 from bustin out

+s1d3k1ckRO Yup.
+Humansrule457 yeah I remember it thanks
I'm Commander Shepard, and I apparently fist pump to this song when I dance
Reasons why Heaven's got nothing on purgatory:
1. More sexiness
2. Sexy sherpard dance moves

What about the Lamborghini Murcielago and the Mercedes SLR.
They are the fastest cars in the game. That reminds me. I should reinstall NFS Carbon :D
We need no Crucible, we need sickass beat to defeat the REAPERS!
im commander shepard and i is dead
it seems Mass Effect takes bar songs from NFS games :D cool
I'm Commander Jane Shepard and I totally agree.
Going into the archives to discover the origin of ME's nightclub music.
Is there a specific genre one could equate this too. I'm somewhere close with "intelligent dnb" but dont get the wubs or club like vibe that this outs off.
If you want really extreme acceleration in Carbon, though, the ultimate is the Viper SRT-10...but's it's just not as cool as the Cuda.
Cuda go brr
Don't you think patrons at the purgatory bar would get tired of listening to the same song 24/7?
Who cares what genre it is, it sounds fucking awesome.
Yeah, and one was Saren, one was human shaped and in a Collector's base, and the other was on Rannoch. I think we know what happened.

What the... I've NEVER heard this in nfsc
It's hard to get it, but I know the way to trigger it.
Oh yeah right, Purgatory is on the Citadel Afterlife on Omega... always confound the two my bad
niiiiice
@nrblackmonk4 This is electro... not an alien signal which we translated as a dubstep...
its really not strange at all. all four games are all published by EA.
NFS High Stakes mysic was in ME2.
Purgatory playing some oldschool from 2009 ;)
@zlowhh Dude Plz ! ! !
Install Audacity on you PC and then start a Stereo Mixing Recording, After that save the File as MP3 !
