- so yea uh, long story short; this was supposed to be an entry for a battle at "battle of the bits." but i ended up breaking a lot of rules and am too ashamed to return to the community. but here's a youtube upload about the song i guess.
this song was mostly an experiment to see what i can do with unique materials (in this case, snes-soundfonts). this was also my first time utilizing eccentric time signatures, that being 5/4 for this track. anyway, hope you can at least savor a bit of what i can offer for now.

I like how it sounds like the rocks are making the beat of the music
That's my intention with the background hehe
I love this! It feels like an excape theme of some sorts or a boss battle, particularly from Kirby Super Star as the samples sound quite identical!
Also just curious, what happened with you and that community? I just read the description, though if you don't want to share I can understand that.
This song does take a lot of inspiration from Meta Knight's theme (1:13 should've also rung a couple bells)! Samples used are from Donkey Kong Country, Chrono Trigger and yes, Kirby Super Star. The final section, as funny as this sounds, took inspiration from a SiIvagunner rip of Meta Knight's theme, turning it into Infernal Catharsis from Calamity.
And about the community, don't worry. I don't got beef with em' and they don't got beef with I. I may have overexaggerated the tone of the description hehe. Just felt too embarrassed to return. But that's just a problem on my part. I'd probably return to it sometime anyway. Thanks for asking though, really appreciate it!
@@theexiiedfeiiow4748 Ah yeah that section you pointed out felt exactly similar!
And also about the community part, ahh I see I get it now. And you're welcome!
As a rock enjoyer myself, I gotta say this slaps
glad that you find that this rocks!
