Well, when the Oxventurers run towards a big-ass creature, they usually have a basic plan to kill it (unless it's an Owlbear and Merilwen manages to speak with it, because of course she did).
Merilwen only got away with it because of Johnny, the aforementioned kid gloves and some gaps in DM knowledge. She tried something similiar with a griffin in Faire Trial and was rebuffed.
If I want just storytelling I pop over to Oxventure. Dicebreaker has a good mix of character development and real gameplay. Now if I want the silliness of one with the mercilessness of the other I check out Viva La Dirt League D&D. Their DM, Robert Hartley, pulls no punches with the characters of Epic NPC Man lol.
I think the Oxventurers did had someone fall unconscious in one adventure, but that person got healed before they had to make death saves. Also, Morbos always struck me as a wannabe demon lord, so of course he tried to make a demon fall under his control at his first opportunity, Challenge Rating and low Spell Save DC non withstanding.
So after watching in disbelief twice at this almost half party wipe i am convinced there could be a joke in this. An elf, an tiefling and a birdman fly into a hedge... but just cannot figure out the punchline

Johnny on this episode: Farid's calves look amazing after all that running Johnny on the next episode: A monster claws at Farid, tearing his entire outfit leaving him naked. 😂 Joking aside, can we expect a Breakquest Club adventure soon?
They've previously said they can't do BQC for the primary reason that all the costumes are in the office. Wheels was recently in the office, but even if he got the costumes then, he'd have to post them all to the team members, so... maybe? Between BQC, Dungeonbreaker, and the Oxventurer's Guild, BQC is by far my favorite, so I'm hopeful, but not holding my breath.

I remember being in Switzerland for the national holiday years ago. An enormous cauldron of soup (made with a hose and dozens of packets ;-) in the town square, a marching band, and speeches from the mayor in three languages punctuated with fireworks being released *through* the crowd. The Dungeonbreakers, or indeed the Oxventurers, might well have fitted right in 🤣🇨🇭🎆🎇🧨

Not trying to back seat DM (because god knows I am totally incapable of it.) but should you have dealt bludgeoning damage from the landing for both Fiz and Morbos? as Farid took it "Damage at 0 Hit Points. If you take any damage while you have 0 hit points, you suffer a death saving throw failure. If the damage is from a critical hit, you suffer two failures instead. If the damage equals or exceeds your hit point maximum, you suffer instant death." or did you decide only nearly killing them was enough?
the fact that he let them attack a fiend which wouldn't be affected by their low level spells and nonmagical weapons and it's not humanoid tells me he's not much for hard and fast rules
He might have crossed those failed death saves off prior, and not informed them, or simply didnt want to Partialy TPK them. After all, no dungeon breaker with no party to play it (ps: i know everyone has backup characters, but fans get attached to characters maybe even more then their players/creators in these type of live/online D&D sessions.)
@@richardheykant718 Totally possible. though a TPK was unlikely since 3 of the characters weren't doing totally ridiculous and very likely to get you killed things.

It's one of TH-cams automatic features again. Since a month or so there is a midroll ad about every 5 minutes by default if the creator not manually removes them. A few creators already complained about this, but youtube being youtube, this will not change in the near future. :/
If your browser will support it, I can heartily recommend uBlock Origin. I don't recall the last time I saw an ad on TH-cam, it even works in incognito mode 👏
How can he possible have a spell save DC as low as 9? It's 8 + proficiency bonus + spellcasting ability modifier. Proficiency bonus is at least 2. That is a minimum DC of at least 10, unless his spellcasting modifier is negative.

They either run towards it, try to speak to it, get it to take its clothes off or punt it into a whale, all whilst singing wild Wild West 😂
