Awsome I think your idea of changing the rock on top with the big colony will look so much better that's a show piece! Some bright green branches would pop in that tank. 💚😍✌
Love Red Sea systems - have had my XL 425 running for 19 months and still love it. That aquascape you guys have created with all the coral placement is AMAZING. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
How do you like it? The only thing I don’t like is adjusting the valve - well, knowing when to adjust it. Mine always gurgles a lot when I feed but then settles down after a while. I think the excess food travelling through the diaphragm messes up the water flow a bit. Maybe I should shut off the pump when I feed the tank....🤔
@Stephen Dobs whats is wrong with you? Im just a fan of whats he is doing and infact I always learn alot from his videos. I didnt get what you mean but thats my point.
always get excited when the alert pops up for a new video! Great looking setup, cant wait to see this thing grow out. Only one little bit of feedback is it would be nice for you to include the details of any products you mention or use in the videos in the video description above :) Great content as always!
Hi jake , been subscribed to you video's for a while now. I think I enjoy watching them more than any other, your knowledge of corals is pretty impressive . Keep up the good work, I reckon that monti forest is going to look great once it grows in.
love seeing new videos. just a thought, but do you ever do livestreams? I think I remember watching one at your house while you prepped for a trip, those would be cool to see at the studio.

A stupid question.... the dosing pump goes into the bottles. Is there a gap where the tubes go into the bottles? Evaporation a concern? Spendy dosing chems....
hi how have you stocked this tank so quickly with no issues did you start out with used saltwater from other tanks I no you had rock already cooking have I missed something
I don’t get complaints over bare bottom tanks... when I dive acroporid-dominated reefs I barely ever see sand. I’d rather have tiles on the tank bottom with sps colonies growing all over the place. Now that’s the look of a reef.
I think the substrate is a transition period occurs before people can establish an understanding regarding the importance of water quality and the importance of ease of maintenance over mainstream aesthetics. It's an acquired taste.
@@mozarth That's actually a very good point and I agree with you. I think it also has to do with the size of coral specimen people tend to start with (frags). At that point sand seems more appealing, but when you have large mature colonies that blanket the tank and dominate the scape the attention is drawn to that and sand seems more of an afterthought as it is barely visible anyway.
What method of drag placement did y’all use on the rock work? Putty and super glue or just super glue? Watching the video it looked like straight super glue to the bottom of the frag then placing where desired on the rock.

I wanted to say I love the channel and thanks for always creating great content to learn from! I have a question. I am getting closer to pulling the trigger on purchasing either the Red Sea Reefer 650 or the WaterBox 7226. From your experience, which tank do you prefer?!
I agree it's awesome, I have one that's slightly smaller than a tennis ball. It has some type of worm growing from inside the coral. The coral itself is growing rapidly but I have no idea what type of worm it is. It's not a feather duster, it has 2 tentacles that pop out of the tube. Any input would be great.
I would love to keep a small group of damsels like that but I'm worried they might kill each other off, I have a RedSea 425 which is 112 gallons and I have a yellow tang and a doctor tang in there already, do you thin 4-5 damsels would do well in the system?
Imagine I wasn't poor and could afford a red sea reefer!! My little 100L with the canister filter is doing well though so I cant complain I guess... 😂 Awesome tank!!!!! One day!
Wow super fantastic video sir... when times coming I would like to invite sir build me another tank I like the way you do on tank.... I always look all your videos it is super fantastic...

Once again another outstanding video. Immaculate tank, the attention to detail is amazing. Your videos are second to none.
Thanks Chapo!
Hey sir very fantastic videos... I always look all your videos inside TH-cam channel... I like the way you setting up all tanks..
Awesome display...and the setosa is looking happy in its new home!!!
Send me some pics of the Leng Sy cap so I can do a post on how to transport big corals using the plastic bag hammock!

Awesome!!! Wifey and I are thinking of pulling the trigger on the Red Sea peninsula 650 as well... love your vids, content and great info!👍
Sweet video Jake! Excellent job on the aquascape! Finally get to see this awesome monti tank. Tell Sanjay to get his bumping too!
Been waiting for this one!!!
Looking awesome; can't wait to see this beauty grow out.
Beautiful tank! Looking forward to more videos on this

The tank looks beautiful man , Thanks for sharing it with us.
Going to be awesome to see how this tank develops. Still want a piece of that neon green branching cap.
Tank looks great thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the video. I am thinking of buy a and like this, this video really helped!
Looks good can’t wait till everything grows out
Best show on TH-cam. Love this tank.
I always forget how many variations of montipora there are! Tank looks great!
Looks fantastic. Wish my hardware/cabling was that tight. Really clean.
Yes, the rimless rim is especially lovely :D :D :D Great video, thanks!
Tank looks great, I really think my next tank will be a red sea, thanks Jake
Nice work mate.
Living the dream. 🤙
Amazing tank only 3 weeks and coral going in. Need more videos
Gorgeous clean and simple
The tank looks great. It was a good idea doing a Montipora tank. I don't think people realize all the varieties available.
Much needed update ill be able to work now.
Looks ace mate, keep it up

I'd totally chill with you guys Ya'll got some knowledge
Love the channel! Great coral and great tips as usual. Only criticism: I am not a fan of bare bottom display tanks. Frag tanks and whatnot, sure.
the bottom won't be bare, it'll be covered with corals
Hi Jake, great vid!! Mate what sort of coral glue/gun where you guys using? Bring on ReefStock Oz!!!!!!!

Hello from the UK :)
at what point (how many months after starting the system) you started adding the acros we see in current episodes?
With what you dip your corals with? good luck with the new project
Didn't get notifications on this one, wth!
Glad I didnt miss it, looks great!
Do you have any videos on that tiny tank at 6:50?
A stupid question.... the dosing pump goes into the bottles. Is there a gap where the tubes go into the bottles?
Evaporation a concern? Spendy dosing chems....
no gap, I drilled a small hole in the side of the cap to vent so the pump could actually suck juice out
hi how have you stocked this tank so quickly with no issues did you start out with used saltwater from other tanks I no you had rock already cooking have I missed something
can you add sps in 3 weeks old tank with dry rock ?!
Great looking tank Jake 👍
Great project 👍🏻👍🏻
Tanks going to be amazing!
What tank did you use to dip all the corals? I need a tank like that
Cool Reef Tank! Do you think the lack of sand bed will make it harder or easier to keep an ultra low nutrient system?
WAY easier to reef without sand, especially ULNS
Yea I completely agree. My Sandless bottom tanks are so much less maintenance...
I didn’t know anything about Montipora using up magnesium... good info
Wait! What song was that at the beginning 😍

I've got Salt Water and CaribSea Life Rock going in my RedSea Reefer 350 - not quite as tricked out as yours but I'm trying to keep up with ya! :)
Tank looks great now
cant wait to see the tank in a year!
That's going to be a beautiful tank

Nice tank! Since you built the tank from bottom up. You should only grow frags in this tank...
all the corals are frag grown

oh maaan what a dream come true!
Do you have to put corals in like you do fish in stages to avoid a mini cycle?
less-so

depends on the damsels, the Chrysiptera, Chromsi and Pomacentrus are all pretty chill, especially the smaller species
@@ReefBuildersVideo And would you recommend sticking to one species of can I combine them?
Jake how do I get one of those sick hats you are wearing?
Great Video
Hey Jake! How do you reckon the skimmer is doing? I'm thinking of picking up the smaller model of the two
it rocks, actually had to throttle it down to keep it from overskimming the tank
