    I think I would consider the Escape 23 or 5.0 for full time living. For now, I’m just anxious to get our Casita 😊

    Great job describing all of the trailers; very informative. I watch all of the videos y’all make, and I have learned a ton from you and Doug. I got a new Spirit Deluxe this spring, and I spent a lot of time watching your channel during my eight month waiting period. Thanks for all the help! Tom

      I love the snoozy and plan on getting one. I am however planning on converting the cassette toilet to either a 6-8 blackwater tank with gravity toilet ( Domestic 320) or just doing a tankless sewer hookup as all the campgrounds I go to either have really nice shower houses and restrooms or full-sewer hookups at each campsite.

    This is the first Casita related video that I’ve seen that mentions the Freedom model. We like our 16’ Freedom Deluxe. It’s like having a bed, and a living room, and a small dinette because of the table between the 2 swivel chairs.
    We just got it yesterday so I’m binge watching 😀
    Very good video, thank you.👉

    There are many more options. There is Happy campers, and some amazing tear drops that cater to the of road like the escapod and the bean trailers (both in Utah). We also really like the sol horizon or the airstream nest. They will all cost more then the aluminum boxes you see on most lots but they last forever. Your grandkids will be camping in it with their grandkids.

    If Casita had a 13” still, I’d be interested. I need 1500 lbs and want small. We do not want a bath, but outdoor shower sounds good.

    • @TravelsandTravails

      The 13' Scamp is a great option. I see the Casita Patriot (13 foot) for sale from time to time. Check out the video of this 13' Scamp: th-cam.com/users/shorts-QTE18Zmsck

    that was outstanding. I'm surprised you didn't go into more details about the Escape trailers. btw: Bigfoot even made a 28' trailer! but your right, they are ridiculously expensive, even more expensive than Oliver, which you did not mention...

    • @bradarmstrong7467
      @bradarmstrong7467 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Just close the toilet lid! Seriously, I personally see little difference in that the bath is so large it’s not your typical wet bath. It is head a shoulders quality wise the best fiberglass trailer available but you pay for that quality no difference there with anything else.

    how is the bed, comfort wise? I have a latex bed with a topper in my house because I need a soft bed. No memory foam, that is too hot.

    • @TravelsandTravails

    A casita would work for me, but how on earth do you keep the carpet clean? I have dogs and the first rainy, muddy day would be the end of the carpet.

    • @TravelsandTravails

    I'm curious. How do you have an Independence with the floor plan of the Liberty? And how are they different?

    • @TravelsandTravails
      @TravelsandTravails  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Liberty can be made into twin beds, but they are very narrow. Other bed options are full and king-sized bed configurations. Independence has the option of twin beds or a king bed.

    This was an excellent run-down of the available Casita options, and other similar trailers.
    We went down to Casita Trailers in Rice, TX a couple weeks ago.
    I think we are pretty much sold on the Casita Independence.
    I really like the Escapes, the L’il Snoozy, and the Big Foots.
    For maximizing what you pay for what you get, I think the Casitas are the best.
    I like the 5th wheel Scamp and Escape, but I want to carry a motorcycle in the bed of the truck.
    We’re about to sell our stick-built trailer and put a deposit down on the Casita.
    Happy Camping

      Which ones are you interested in?

    • @joeweaver9913
      @joeweaver9913 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed. You have to fill out a form on their website and request pricing. It's a real pain in the ass. They ought to have a website where you build your own camper by choosing the model and the options and it spits out the price so you can easily compare different makes and models. That would be too much to ask, I guess. They can crank out campers that sell for $25K-$100K but they can't afford a decent website. If they cheap out on their sales and marketing, I can only assume they cheap out on manufacturing as well.
