Hello Maureno and Remon! Wow really increíble Castle 🏰. Very Catholic people. I am love the porcelain and plates around of the place. ❤😊🤗👍. Merry Christmas to both and your family 🎄
I absolutely love love love these thick stone walls. Incredible. That full armor suit and the portraits of the owners with the family crests in the corners... This place is stunning. It's almost like some of the rooms are being prepared to be an air b and b or something..
The first room had paintings/drawings of Saint Philomena, she along with her father. (King of Greece) converted to Christianity when she was 13. Around 300 AD. Thank you for the great video guys. And for the long drive. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit bless and protect you always. ✝️
I can't tell you how often I see buildings centuries old and wish the stone walls were exposed. The structural stone and wood that give the building so much character. I've seen properties basically falling down rebuilt and restored, so this wonderful place should be saved. It should be occupied again. Thank you both for the work you do to bring us these videos. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year. 🎄
Beautiful well worth the 20 hour drive. Thanks for the lovely gift of showing us this splendid castle. My only thought was only 3 fire places to heat all those stone rooms ? The curtains would have been to keep out draft . Is it warm in Portugal? Also most guns were black powder thats why they had the powder horns with them. Most of trays and other serving pieces were pewter.Loved it guys have a wonderful Christmas holiday!
Very nice. And by the way Martin Luther was a 1600s Reformation founder. He was known for putting his thesis on his professor door in the middle of the night. He basically blew catholicism out of the water on why he thought it didn't make sense. The pieces that fit on the back of a boot for riding is called a spur. And I'm so glad you found those final rooms. That will teach you to look into every door you find. Just to make sure nothing is there. Great video guys.
Please do not describe the rooms and the artifacts as “crazy” “lnsane”, please find new words to describe what you are seeing or seen. These “ things” That you call “ceazy” was someone’s life. Please be more respectful and not so offensive.

The item you found on the last table were for the cavalry to wear on their boots. They are called spurs. Some are very ornamental and beautiful. The spur was touched to the horse’s flank for a quick jump forward. Thank you for this great video. Curt
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, Curt! We really appreciate your insights into the item we found in the abandoned medieval castle. We're glad you enjoyed the video, and we'll continue to explore and share more fascinating discoveries. Thanks again for your support and for being a part of our journey! 😁
As a Catholic on the video at 21:34 would you say that was a communion host? If so it wouldn’t be a consecrated one would you think? I hope it was a regular host, maybe blessed. Curious what you think?
I am also Catholic and I also found all the Catholic objects in the rooms so beautiful and so emotional. I loved it all. About the Host , I was also surprised and shocked to see it there. Is it a consecrated Host, I am not sure, but who knows with a wealthy and powerful family and Devoted Catholic one, at that, anything is possible. I am surprised there was no Chapel there in the Castle, as most families from the middle-ages and up had a Chapel in their castle. Most castles at that time would have had a resident Priest living in the Castle, and if so there would have been a Consecrated Host on the alter. I pray that this is not so there and that that it was just forgotten to have it moved to a Living Church.

What an amazing find Maureno and Remon! Beautiful interior and loved the exposed stone walls. Only the last rooms had wallpaper. I hope the family will sell it on and get it lived in again. Otherwise, it’s just a waste to let it decay. Definitely one of my favourites of your abandoned places.

It's such a shame these places are not museums. Such beauty. However, I like the authenticity of them left as is because you can sense how they lived more clearly.

Such a fascinating and historical video! Your work is very respectful and professional. Maybe the whisperer could find some alternate expressions in place of “damn” all the time
Wow, that's fascinating! I never knew that about the Scallop Shell symbolizing the various pilgrim routes. Thank you so much for sharing this insightful perspective. It really adds depth to the exploration of places like this medieval castle in Portugal. The stories behind these symbols truly enhance our understanding of their presence in historical settings. 🏰🐚
I see a lot of renovation has taken place there -- it is electrified with modern wiring and receptacles and switches. The mortar has been tucked (repaired) recently in many places. And kept relatively clean to be sure.
If a place is completely undisturbed, you would not see dust. Dust is made by people moving around. But if the place was being taken care of, there would be no moldy books, and no urban exploreres.
Amazing place! I think those 'silver' plates were in reality Pewter. Coat of arm variations amazing. I wish you had got a better closeup of the Templar picture and name..,!

This place is truly magnificent and someone could just move in and start living. Thank you Maureno and Remon. I love this castle..❤❤
Feliz Navidad ❤
This one is the absolutely gorgeous!!! This is made as a real castle!!
This is like a museum. So beautiful! Total untouched, minimalistic and great design in all rooms. A real fairytale castle. Love it!
Cheers from Norway!
Reymon thought the bathroom smelled pretty good and Maureno thought it smelled like urine....I laughed! haha Nice video guys...THANK YOU.
Such a fascinating and historical video! Your work is very respectful and professional. Maybe the whisperer could find some alternate expressions in place of “damn” all the time
It is said that the Scallop Shell symbol is a metaphor, in that its lines represent the different routes traveled by pilgrims from around the World.
Absolutely amazing how preserit is and what difference a good construction can make! Thank you for this!
Wow , Thank you guys, this is easily the best video of homes/houses that i have seen till date, Thank you once again.
❤That was the Greatest explore I've ever seen. Thank you. I will watch & enjoy again.
Any idea who the current owner is? Any possibility that it could be available for sale?
Cheers guys, great video. Keep up the great work 👍
This castle is so cool . I envy both of you guys right now. But I appreciate you taking us with you via TH-cam. Thanks guys
I see a lot of renovation has taken place there -- it is electrified with modern wiring and receptacles and switches. The mortar has been tucked (repaired) recently in many places. And kept relatively clean to be sure.
Are you sure someone isn't taking care of that place. It's so clean looking, l almost expected someone to come home.
They obviously are lol no way is that abandoned
Also, notice how they are talking very , very quiet ....
If a place is completely undisturbed, you would not see dust. Dust is made by people moving around. But if the place was being taken care of, there would be no moldy books, and no urban exploreres.
Absolutely amazing! Thank you for bringing us this one!
Amazing place! I think those 'silver' plates were in reality Pewter. Coat of arm variations amazing. I wish you had got a better closeup of the Templar picture and name..,!
