@@dickjones29 You're absolutely right Dick. I learned that quite some time ago but what a great lesson! Changes your entire outlook on playing guitar/bass
Ngl Bruh even I play like that 💀 Marcin changed it for me.... Otherwise I was just into chords...but lately I've been listening to classical and modern guitar pieces and compositions. And I think it's way better than normal songs.

I’m number 2 sorry 😂😂. Hey but I’m doing my best… I keep Practice. I started during Covid and have gotten better. I wanna eventually get my TAYLOR guitar! I’m so excited 😆
Playing with fingers on an acoustic guitar is indeed hard for a classical guitarist because the neck size is too thin even I can’t do it and my hands are huge that doesn’t help with it either
Yup. Only improvise. I have never learned any theory but I have memorized the fretboard. Also, only playing in alternate tunings improvised. This years flavor has been DAEAC#E & FACGCE
I’m number 2!!! 💩Just got started six weeks ago and mainly know chords and am still learning where notes are, my singing abilities do help hahahaha I’m hollering😂😂😂😂😂thanks for this!

That's kinda offensive for classical guitar players, maybe we don't play blues and we don't improvise but acoustic guitar players can't play that type of music we play as well. We just play different styles really.😅
Then we got my a$$ : guy who plays chords for hours a day on steel strings without a pick (My right thumb has suffered so much it doesn't suffer anymore)
As an electric player, I just gotta say I miss my acoustic. Also, I'm a wannabe 4th. Wish I could improv like that. Shit I wish I could improvise in general.
Just a question, if you don't take lessons and just stick to learning by yourself everyday will you be able to play really well in like 10 years? What if you just learn fingerstyles for that whole 10 years without understanding notes will you be able to play as good as veteran musicians?
Here I am not even playing guitar (or any instrument), but can sing. I come from musical family. My mom can play violin, piano and mandolin. My cousins play accordion, and some piano or guitar. Both grandfathers played trumpet and accordion and one played saxophone. Family gatherings always brought us together to play and sing different music. I am kinda black sheep in a family as I always was good with science, however I am also good in arts.😅
#2 all too common because POP music only requires a couple chords , with a super catchy progression , sing an intro, pre chorus, chorus, repeat then do a bridge and finish off with a chorus ... make the average crowd react with the, "Wow Bravo a true musician artist !"
Which song is he singing in #2? 🧐

You just need to make an actual effort to review them after you learn them. Also learnt this the hard way. Basically just use spaced repetition

If you already have classical guitar experience learning how to play with a pick will be a picnic.
