this is over 2hrs long but will watch it later. I've studied his philosophies in depth and his wisdom surpasses all. I feel so blessed to have chances to listen to his profound words and teaching. Science and spirituality come together and anyone who does not get this needs to educate themselves. I am a Christian but don't belong to a church since I am more of a leader then a follower and think for myself. The Holy Spirit often will put a "thought" in my head which binds things together for me.

I am an admirer of Dalai Lama. Sorry for some spelling mistakes on my earlier posting
( neuro physiology) Buddhism is an intelectual religion, more a philosophy or psychology rather than a " religion". I wish all religions are like that instead of beliefs in an imaginery God,hell, heaven etc. Dalai Lama is ofcourse an authority on Tibetan Buddhism. We are fortunate to have him.. Neurophysiology and quantum physics are difficult for most of us.

,Listening to His Holiness speak about science and Buddhism makes me more confidence, like the Tibetan scrolls says, that Christ was a Buddhist monk. I spent time in Taksila and in Tibet....Searching for the evidence of Christ in India. scholars are studying Buddhist Philosophy which gives me assurance of my findings. Also,to me the evidence revealed from this conference becomes stronger comparing the teachings of Christ and Buddhism with the God of the Old Testament, Koran.

I think light is a sense of touch in Buddhist philosophy because we feel things weight when we touches them or lift them up

it is too late for Dalai Lama to understand neurophsiology , quantum physics etc .
These scientists are amazing, they are extraordinarily patient in teaching him all the complexities of science. it is difficult to knwo how much he understood and waht is the purpose of this exercise?

Actually, from the dialog it appears that the Dalai Lama and the Tibetans are waaaay ahead of a lot of this material, particularly regarding illusion/delusion. After all, delusion is at the root of Buddhist philosophy, and they study intensively it for years.

You obviously know very little about His Holiness. He is a very learned man not only on his own field of Buddhist thought, but in many other fields including physics, neuroscience, etc.

It seems like a pretty small chance that someone who was pre-chosen, and believes himself to be a reincarnate of an ancient advisor to Mongol Emporers should be taken seriously on his scientific opinion. How is this compatible with science: "Buddha had more superpowers than any other being including being able to walk on water... The Buddha could multiply into a million and then return, he could travel through space, he could make himself as big as a giant and then as small as an ant"

yeah but you should try to refute him logically. Or give a better reason for the scientists to not discuss with him. Secondly, the scriptures have been written by people after Buddha. They are metaphors. But if no sense at all could be made out of them, the are to be discarded. This is precisely what Buddha himself taught.
