SLEEP WITH THE BEARS

Follow us at the Zoo de la Flèche to spend the night with Igor and Ivan, two Kamtchatka bears. We will try to learn more about their lifestyles, and the threats faced by their species. 🐻

Even if zoos come from an heritage of putting animals in cages, they have also been able to evolve (for some) and adapt to work (as best as they can) for the well-being of the residents, and especially for the protection of species by participating in the reproduction, safeguarding and reintroduction of species in danger of extinction.
Of course a wild animal will always be more fulfilled.
But I also think that the main problem is much more the exponential destruction of the natural environment and the poaching of a large number of these species, rather than the life in captivity of certain representatives, as long as the purpose of this is to participate in their protection and to raise awareness for the general public on these subjects.

J'ai grandi près de la Flèche, j'avais souvent visite ce zoo. A l'époque le propriétaire s'appelait M Bouilleau et il possédait un guépard qui vivait a côté de sa maison.

Dommage que ce soit aussi cher, j’ai regardé les réservations c’est presque 200 e par personne ouais j’aurais bien aimé emmener mes petits enfants mais vraiment trop cher
