Aside from animation, gta's hulk has a lot of cool details, like heavy walking, that marvel's avengers hulk doesn't.

They HEAVILY nerfed Hulk in Marvel's Avengers... Yes, sure he is still a powerhouse but to who? Abomination? Probably. But Clint f-ing Barton? Nah man, dude killed his strongest form in the game. This game ABSOLUTELY trashed Hulk. The Incredible Hulk game(2008)'s Hulk is 1,000x stronger.
Edit: tbf they nailed that Hulk vibe, they make him feel powerful without being powerful which honestly makes him fun to play as if you ignore the disappointing lack of true power.

the main issue that stems from these gta 5 character mods, is that the animations are janky at times, there isn't a seamless transition between different positions. i assume this is some limitation that current modding tools cant solve yet
but still it doesnt take away from the fun that is being the hulk in gta 5
Its due to the fact that the modding is reskinning Franklin or Michael.
So when you die as the Hulk you transit back to being the base character.
That is why the mods if perfect work but after all....its not a game about a giant green rage monster.

Actually, I believe (as a 3D artist myself) that it's an issue of a lack of a dedicated skeleton-rig. They just seem to use the standard rig for a standard male of standard height from the game without much modification to the original rig, if any at all. I have seen these models using the standard fighting stance or the normal walking animation, which just doesn't work for a model of the size and volume like the Hulk. You could make transitions between animation stands very smoothly, but I have no idea if the modders have the access to the game files and the 3D modelling/animation skills to do that at all.
The modder julionib who makes pretty much all of the bigger gta mods (including this hulk mod) said that he cant add custom animations to gta yet or something like that
I prefer GTA Hulk. When I think of the Hulk one of the first word that comes to mind is power. For as janky as the GTA animations are, the mod nailed the essence of Hulk more than the Avengers game could ever hope to. Due to the nature of live service games, Hulk in the Avengers game plays/feels like Hulk cosplayer.
You hit the nail right on the head. Combine the animations of the marvel game with the strength and speed of the GTA character and you pretty much have the real Hulk right there.

One thing that marvel failed to consider is that playing as hulk shouldn’t feel bulky or slow, hulk’s body is made of pure muscle and that would give him not only super strength but also super speed
But if they don't make him the slow tanky character then wouldn't they put it out of balance? Like I understand what people talk about when they say he is weaker in the official game, but there is a balance, if the Hulk is a op as the comics then we wouldn't need to play as anyone else... Unless they made EVERYONE op, which sounds kinda fun

He's not The Flash tho lol. He's more like a raging rhino mixed with a truck, he will take a little while to reach top speed and he'll most likely destroy anything while doing so.
@@radrno7 well maybe in the movies, but he can run A LOT faster than 34 mph(max speed of the white rhino). He’s only going 120 or 130 mph MAX, but probably less, not even close to his max in the comics so it makes sense why he may not need to pick up speed and also that’s just the way gta works, you don’t ever really have to pick up speed when running. Technically, in the comics he can run faster than trucks and most if not all cars too. Y’all are just being too picky because your too used to seeing the movies(at least the MCU version, because in the 2003 Hulk movie he runs a lot faster than gta 5 Hulk).

Yeah, the 2003 version does seem to be the closest we ever got to the comics Hulk, my favorite version in the movies so far. The issue tho is that the top speed, much like any top level skill a character has, is that it’s not the regular level they usually achieve. Like, for an example, that one time the Hulk held an entire mountain or that he managed to jump from planet to planet, those weren’t regular achievements or situations. Those were very specific and extreme occurrences, the Hulk in his regular size, speed and strength is not that far off other characters such as Thor. They could implement that super speed in Hulk gameplay, but it would have to be a special feature, like a stamina based skill, but the regular speed should be close to a car’s, enough for him to have that heavy weight and at the same that speed he can achieve on foot.
The Incredible Hulk (2008) Had better mechanics and physics than Marvel's Avengers lol
To be fair though, hulk does need to be balanced, and it’s also not a standalone hulk game.

Developers need to make an open world hulk video game similar to Incredible hulk but with better graphics and game play with new skins. The graphics don't have to be ultra realistic but only just a bit so it doesn't eat up the processor. And attacks can be mixed with kicks too and use objects as weapons

GTA's feels more realistic in power scaling, combat gore and character design.
Marvel has much smoother combat physics, as well as a better world design and interaction(for obvious reasons).

If they could merge the powerscaling with those beautful graphics and an open world (permanent destruction). Then it would be mwah🙏🏽

Actually the Hulk in Avengers game makes more sense in walking, sprinting (except for the speed) and jumping (just the jump animation, the height of the gta v jump is still more accurate).
He should feel like a raging bull when running which is definitely what the avengers is trying but man he's just so slow

A True Hulk game can be brought back to life with Unreal Engine 5 I truly believe.
Since hulk is actually super fast and jumps very high Next-Gen Consoles wouldn’t have a problem with loading times or even destruction/chaos physics.

Marvel's animations are so much better, what are you guys on? If GTA Hulk had Marvel's animations, it would be perfect. Obviously limitations in Rockstar's engine exist so I get why this isn't possible.

well i think its hard to compare these 2 games since gta V is still one of the best open world games so out side of the hulk gta wins in every aspect but the fact that one or 2 modders did a way better hulk than a hole company did is kinda of insane, imagine these modders working with all the tech and equipment marvel had

I love the work that was put into the gta mod but the only complaint I have with it is how fast hulk runs. It's just kinda too fast in my opinion, like hulk is fast but I'd dial it down a tiny bit. But that's just something minor. The mod in general is great though

I'd also give him a more slouched gorilla like posture and some more green radiation explosions but as you said it's minor stuff. Square Enix on the other hand really messed up.

If anything the GTA mod still isn't fast enough. Plus his jumps are puny at best. Hulk can cover miles in a single leap and run extremely fast. As much as the 08 movie gets hate they got speed and jumping the best it's ever been.
I still like the avengers hulk more, his movements look better. I dont like the game tho. I do think that the games idea is more of a brutish ogre, my idea would be a more thor ragnorok and incredible hulk approach.
I don't know if anyone remembers this but back in PS2 era, we had Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction. Now that! Was a REAL Hulk game. Melee was vicious, brutal, absolutely carnage, you could smash robots to pieces, knock down buildings, Spartan-kick Abomination into the nth dimension, and best of all! You could put people down after grabbing them and Hulk would pet them. It's funny because a GTA MOD captures that same feeling of a Hulk game as whatever we got in Avengers.

Hulk 2003 is the best, the biggest.

And, the hulk 2003 is more accurate to the comic books than the current movies!
Hulk powers that was in the 2003 film:
1. Very fast running!
2. Jumps very high!
3. Healing ability!
4. The angrier the hulk gets, the stronger he becomes!
5. Grows from 9ft to 15ft tall!

Based on Hulk GTA V depicts hulks real strength animations when it comes to fighting and doing attacks tho marvel hulk is more realistic and moves better the run animation and speed can be worked on in marvel Avengers. Left out hulk jumping is also higher than the actual game which is more like hulk.

This isn’t a fair comparison because Avengers was modeled after ultimate alliance.. and GTA is an open world game... plus gta is already a fantastic game without superhero’s in it. After you add the superhero’s it just elevates the game that much more... so in conclusion, gta with mods wins in every department expect for the combat... I still think avengers has good combat
