  • Singing for Larry at his time of dying. Wish I could be with you all in person today. Me and my parents, Emma and Mike Tristram, got together last night and sang Shape Note songs for Larry, around the kitchen table. I recorded it on my phone and have tidied it up a little to make a song offering here. It is not a perfect rendition of these songs but is full of love and spirit and harmony, and voices liberated by knowing this wonderful man, Larry.
I hope it will be nice for folk to listen to, sing along with or fill in the missing parts.
I am so sad I will never sing with Larry again.
I am so grateful for the gifts given to me and my family and the world by this amazing man.
Sending you all the hugest love.
Thank you for being part of the global VH/NH family of people.
Hugest gratitude for Larry’s example of a life well lived,
And his legacy of community, spirited living, the magic of song and so much more.
    With love, gratitude and grief,
    Hannah-Rose Tristram.
Songs / song snippets appear in this order:
    1. My Life’s A Shade (my days apace to death decline…)
    2. Smear (save me O God, the swelling floods…)
    3. Roslin Castle (behold the rose of Sharon here…)
    4. Ocean (Thy words the raging winds control…)
    5. Hallowell (I thought when someone died…)
Apologies if any of the titles are wrong, I don’t have my book with me this moment.
