Thank you so much for this. I just switched from the pills to injections. I was really nervous. I watched your video, did exactly as you instructed and it was painless.
Thank you for such a clear and easy to follow demonstration. I just gave my husband his first methotrexate injection and it went very well!! I won't be nervous the next time.
I'm about to do this for a friend, I want to make it as painless as I possibly can. Thank you for the video, I knew it would be simple but this puts my mind at ease
😨😨 SO many things to say… if the vial says single dose… that does NOT always mean take the whole vial. It just means do NOT reuse/repuncture after pulling the dose the doctor prescribed you… Not sure where it was on the list when this video came out but as of today Methotrexate is labeled as HIGH RISK. that does NOT mean don’t take it, stop taking it or be afraid of it, it just means be careful and respect it. That said you should do it in a clean ventilated location away from others. You need the medication in your system, they do NOT. (If a friend is assisting you that’s fine, just be safe). Avoid cross contamination when wearing gloves. DONT forget to decontaminate properly and dispose of it safely. It should not be going in regular trash. You don’t HAVE to listen to me, feel free to do your research. Not a nurse, I’m just the one in the hospital licensed to handle and draw up the dose for them to give. I’ve actively only been in the pharmacy profession 8 years but I’ve done enough to have a bit of experience at least prepping it for your health and safety. 🤷♀️🤷♀️
That is very good information for people to know because obviously if women can contract even a slight amount of methotrexate which can be absorbed through the skin it can cause birth defects and spontaneous abortion. Something most people don't know.
Many with autoimmune inflammatory arthritis use MTX and other medications like Kineret by sub q injection. Those same people have no ability to handle a small syringe safely due to that same arthritis's effect on hands. The only "gun type" injectors that will hold these syringes are for IM injections. What's the answer?
Please don't laugh at the patients that have to do this injections we are not dart boards and you don't put it in as if it was a dart good for practicing if need to
I have the single use vial. It says to do 3ml. So I guess I do the whole vial since it says single use? I used to do the pill form and I couldn't tolerate it. I'd appreciate the answer to my question. Thanks
I’m not a medical professional, but this is just going into the skin/fat so air may make things more uncomfortable, but shouldn’t be dangerous. Your body will reabsorb it. (I have to give myself intravenous injections, and, even though I avoid air, it’s not nearly as dangerous as TV shows make it seem. Your body can take care of it.)
I take the tablets and oh they make me feel awful, sick, tummy is sore, headache and shivers...it lasts about 20 hours..yeuch. Im condiering injecting, if it stops the ughies!!
I just wanted to know is it okay to get this in the thighs or leg. They gave it to me in my thighs bc I’m preg and this is the part with the most meat lmaoo. I also got two shots. Idk if they made it two shots on purpose but I think they gave me too much so I called the hospital and left them a message.

How do you pull the syringe package apart if your damned hands don’t work?
That is an ongoing problem with so many thing. They presume you can use your hands. Frustrates the hell outta me.
I got instructions thst showed different ways to handle if your hands are sore. Slso, maybe get a friend or family member to assist.
I start my first dose soon I’m so nervous 😭
It didn’t really hurt but the medicine made me sick so that’s lame

It was a light joke and you actually do have to inject it like a dart they did it the first time for me at the hospital and that's how they did it
Did you see her laughing? She's demonstrating.
Appreciated 👍🏻
90 deg or 45 deg? I noticed you used 45. I thought 90 was ok? ( 45 was outdated) what about needle length, gauge? Was that mentioned ?
Thank you so much.
Ugh, I just can't get to inject myself.....any insight how it went??
Reviews for this drug are horrendous. I'd rather live in pain.
Thank you ❤
Thank you for helping
Is it true that methotrexate injections leave scars?

Why do you inject the air into the vial first?

Hi, im nervous! 😭 what are the side effects of MTX injection compared to MTX oral medication? Thanks!
Injection = its more efficient
Oral = same thing but it may take a while
