You guys should take it easy. Alor town has always been called Alor London as far back as one can remember because of how clean and organised the town is. It is nicknamed Alor London all over Anambra state. Dr. Chris Ngige and some other prominent sons of the town also did a lot to ensure that they town lived up to that London comparison. In my opinion, the London tag does not connote any slave ideas. However, it is a standard of comparison set by the town, to drive development, cleanliness and organisation. Almost all streets in the town are tarred and lit up with street lights. It is indeed a clean and organised town.

I have been hearing since my childhood in the early seventies that Aba is the Hong Kong of Africa and Nnewi is the Japan of Africa and Abiriba is small London. I challenge people making this comparisons to Google these cities and watch videos of them. London, for example, has more than 150 buildings that are at least 10 storeys high.
