sometimes you gotta get lucky with a used deal. picked up a kit for 200. now only downside as the seller smokes so it reeked of cigs. but some cleaning takes over half the smell away
There is a spring set for 3 of the pedals. The brake gets a more firm, progressive spring which gives the brake pedal press progression and more feel. The accelerator and clutch gets slightly harder springs aswell.
I've put a coin in the brake pedal, and few rings (which you usually put under screws and bolts) inside the gas pedal. I rarely use the clutch so i didn't mess with it, it can also be used for making analog handbrake, but at expense of losing a clutch
I made a version of this mod but using a foam ball cut in half and then squished it inside the spring, finally cut the excess. The brake feels much better than with the black rubber piece. I do get a different load progression than just the spring’s, but I’m able to go to its end range without trouble. Doesn’t look fancy but works hehe
I did the accelerator and break pedal , i still spin occasionally but you do have more steadier acceleration , you have more control , Spa is a good test track .
Idk if you're being a jackass cause of "immersion" but there's a reason ppl like ISR and this channel* wear socks as well as* most informational sim channels. It's just the elitist that would push that agenda. Now if we put aside that most pedal sets are mostly plastic, at least the bases, and shoes* might put unwanted roughness to those bases and maybe pedals.... if we put that aside you have the fact that most ppl are in their house and MOST ppl don't wear their damn shoes in the fucking house. Gloves for grip are one thing but not much of an extra advantage with shoes. Now if you wanna get a pair JUST FOR RACING INSIDE* and set em next to the rig that's a possibility (again if your set can handle shoes). Edit: was in a rush so (*) for misspelled words.
I used this with a different spring for about a year. Well worth it for the price. It got me into top 50 many times. Best I've done is 22 on a dirt 2.0 course.
Awesome video! I Wish I had come accross your channel a long time ago! The brazillians guys over at Steamtação presented this channel to me! Already hands on making my G27 quieter and ordering some new springs!
not good for people like me who ain't gonna invest a huge amount on sim racing setup. all I have is the Logitech g29 alone, I'd rather have a weaker pedal so I don't need a cement block behind my chair
I'm using the stage 1 shifter mod and have to ask. I feel like after time the shifter becomes looser due to the plastic wearing down, have you experienced this with your g29 shifter? How is the mod holding up? I loved the shifter mod for the first day but I feel it starting to loosen up and I don't really want to buy a replacement from 3drap.it if its only going to last as long as the one I currently have. Love the videos and if you do a video or try an inverted pedal mod. I'd recomend using aluminum angle iron, I think mine was 1/2" or 3/8" and made pretty much a pedal mounting plate and base out of it and it works amazingly well. I slotted the medal mounting plate holes for adjustment and it worked out great too. Just a suggestion if you ever want to try it.
Wouldn’t it make the pedals harder? Idk about your setup but with mine I can not really reach 100% braking power without the pedals moving away or my chair moving away So for me, I’d rather make the brake pedal a bit lighter
hi man, i've followed almost all your mods, the 3Drapit shifter mod was great, but in this case i think the gt eye or the nixim progressive springs would be better, why did you choose the 3d rapit option? what are the differences?
They all achieve the same result by adding a progressive feel to the pedal. I'm really liking the feel of the blue rally mod over others I've tried, just a personal option.
Is the force of the "original" ( at 2:11 ) the force you put into it without the black rubber part? How does the Rally mod compare to the GTEYE Brake mod?
Ill have to try that rubber buffer in the brake pedal. I find with the stock "block" its too hard to brake but without it i lose fine control when i brake.
I just fitted the rally 3d rap and its far too stiff and doesn't feel like a car or any vehicles brake that I have driven and I have driven loads but if you increase the saturation you could learn to have a better feel for how much you are pressing the pedal because it gets harder to push as you go but maybe ill get used to it as it is and then ill find an advantage in using it but its not worth buying, I could likely try to think of a better mod to adopt to make it feel more real but im put off by how hard it was to put the pedals back together, its very difficult
You got a custom peddle set up but brake is soft go to store get some rubber brake line cut it so it fits behind brake peddle problem solved just right
What's your opinion on combing this mod with the gteye spring mods? Do you think it would be way too stiff compared to actual pedals or do you think it would be a good mod combo? If you don't know there stronger progressive springs for the g29 so I was wondering if you think it might make everything too strong.
Is it better to get a GTEYE spring with the Special GTEYE version of this mod, or just get the rally or formula versions of this mod without a GTEYE spring?
Hi mate! Great video! Can I ask you the measures of the thickness and also for the "bolt" used for the brake pedal? If you can help me I appreciate that.
Yes. I bought it yesterday and I REALLY have to stomp on that brake to get 100% brake power on GT Sport, at a point that I was afraid to break something in the pedals to get a hairpin right. I even had to turn ABS to Weak otherwise I wouldnt slow down in time for a corner at the given break indicators. They say the Console rubber requires 20kgs of pressure instead of the default 10, but to me it feels you need WAY more pressure than 20kgs.
Claudio Cozzi I feel like I waited my money since this is worse. Only played for 2 minutes last night since I had to go to bed so not too sure I I like it or not
Hello, I have a problem with the brake pedal. I do not press it and the indicators in the games show that it brakes with 50% power as the pressure goes up to 100% but returns again to 50% of the braking power and should return to 0%. Do you know how I can set it?
I purchased the 3DRap.it mods recently. Got the Rally Break, Clutch & Throttle, as well as the H Shifter V2. All of the mods are pretty good except the clutch. The clutch mod itself breaks most simulators because it will not allow the clutch to be fully pressed. City Driving Simulator, ETS2, ATS, etc. are all completely unplayable. This is not a knock on 3DRap.it. I have contacted them and expect my money back on the clutch mod. But the other mods work great! Just make sure if you decide to buy, save yourself the 5USD and skip the clutch mod. EDIT: This was on the G27 wheel btw. They should all be similar . . . but I know on the G27 the Clutch mod is not compatible. Cheers!
That doesn't make sense. Logitech pedals are calibrated each time you boot up. The first time you press a Logitech pedal it will be at 100% instantly and the new 100% will be determined by how far you push it. What this means is 100% can never be beyond the travel of the pedal itself, if your pedal continually has a problem at the end of the range it is usually a dirty pot. A problem Logitech pedals have is the pots get dirty and start to malfunction, most sims understand this and allow you to calibrate the range of the pedal in sim. I always set my clutch so that it is at 100% at only 50% or less of its range and I also have dead zone at the start of the range so that it does not activate unless I press it which is something Logitech pedals do when the pots get noisy. Having the clutch set like this makes it more realistic because this is how real clutches operate and it allows much quicker shifts in game. In a similar way when I calibrate my accelerator I set the range so the pedal is fully engaged at 90-95% of it movement. This is done because sometime the noise in the pot will not allow full throttle unless this is done. For the brake in a similar way I set dead zone at the start but never at the end. Dead zone is set again to avoid noise operating the brake unintentionally but I do not have dead zone at the end because you never want 100% application of brakes in a sim. But in sims that do allow it I always set the brake curve to match the brake mod I have installed for a more realistic experience. BTW in my G25 pedals neither my brake or clutch can be depressed all the way because of the mods I have made and it is not a problem in any sim I have tried. I also have G29 pedals that are unmodified and there is a good reason for wanting to modify them especially the brake. Unfortunately the range of the pots do not match the range of the pedals and what this means for the brake is the rubber is too close to 100% activation and the pedal is fully depressed in game long before you push it all the way. The pedal feel of G29 pedals is actually pretty nice when they are unplugged but the way it operates does not allow you to experience them this way when you play games unfortunately.
TomO'Dee if you have the Logitech brakes. There it could be the sensors are out of place. Quick fix, stamp on the brake pedal a few times. That worked for me at least.
The website has 3 different models and the rally version that you showed being installed here is yellow not blue. Do you know which one you bought for sure?
Yes there are 3 types. E - is for use with progressive spring mods like the GTEYE (not stock Logitech spring) R - is the Rally/Gt version (blue installed in the video) 0:03 F - is the Formula version 0:05 (orange not installed) I think they may of change or updated the colors.
