    FINALLY a nice and simple explanation of how to do this.

    I couldn't resist, I had to share into the PNWSTE Facebook page. We have a lot of noobs there that are curious how we turn our lights on/off from the radio. I've used this method a lot, but I never did think to make a video of it. Thanks Bob, for making the video. Hopefully the share results in some folks headed your way to purchase one, or more of these switches.

    Hello, thanks for the video. I would like to ask you how can I connect the electronic switch while a specific battery is connect to the light and not to the receiver. (this is since the receiver is not providing enough volts that the specific light needs).

    also what mm led do you think would be a good size for this project 3mm or 5mm

    Hey Bob, thanks for your great informative videos. Will this work along with the mfc-01? Just hook the switch directly to the receiver for extra lights? Watching a lot of your videos while I wait for my grand hauler to be delivered.

      Yes, works fine with an MFC. The only thing is the turn signals are not in sync but that does not make much difference when the trailer is hooked up.

    Bonjour merci pour ce vidéo li réponds à un problème ou je cherchais une réponse je l’espère.Je viens de finir mon King Hauler et programmer ma Fly Sky FSI6X avec votre vidéo je veux commande des LED et Électronique switch je veut savoir avant j’ai un MFC donc s’est lui qui alimente le récepteur sur le canal 6 sur la switch SWB comment le MFC peut supporter de lumière 💡. Les lumières de Tamiya ne semble pas avoir de résistance comme celle que vous m’avez déjà vendu pré câblé.Doit-on utiliser des LED avec résistance ou pas Le MFC a t’il une protection ou les LED prennent peut énergie? Quelle est le voltage maximal des LED qu’on peut utiliser. Merci

    Nice a d clear.
    But can you use this on a 3 position switch...because switching from left to right wil chance the polarety..or is this device protected agains that.

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use a 3 position switch fine but will not get any additional features from it. Still just on/off.

    What resistance value of the resistor should I use? Thanks for the video.

      Use 1/4W Metal Film 470 ohm resistors. You can find them on eBay or Amazon.

    Hey Bob, would this work in channel 3 for a pistol grip style radio?

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will work on any radio as long as you have a spare channel for it.

    hello again i would like to add led lights to my trailer around around top and bottom of the side panels.i found led lights on ebay pre wired with resistors.do ii connect all the red positve wires together and all the black negatives together or can i just tie one lead to the next as i go along like red to black to red

    Hi, great explanation. Just wondering in how to configure few LED in a single switch, for instant from your video, you were using CH 6 to on/off the light. let say i wanted to use the same switch for other lights as well. one time on/off white light, second time on/off blue light, third time on/off red light. cheers

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You just need a resistor for each led. Hook all the negatives together on the led's and hook all the positives together with a resistor in each one. You can do 25 or so led's on one switch.

      @@HobbyconceptsLLC thanks for the reply mate. But if i do as you said i will lit up all the LED at the same time in a single flick. Its connected in series then. But that wont achieve what i wanted.

      ON that video he has done some tricky programming with his Tamiya MFC. The electronic switch is only on/off. If you want to turn on/off different sets of lights you could use more switches each one needing a separate radio channel.

      @@HobbyconceptsLLC thanks, that tricky part is really something. im unable to understand how he manage to do it with MFC. it will be great if you can post a video on this tricky method. do appreciate your work, cheers

    Hi Bob, I installed a switch on one of the two AUX ch. It never worked until I had to configure the Mix option. Master 5ch to slave 4ch. Do you have a Mix configuration to your switch?

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Does not need it. Just have to make sure the channel is set to 100% travel.

  • @bigjoeyb66cooldude20
    @bigjoeyb66cooldude20 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    i see you have these lights on your site.il get them from you.do you think the 5mm are to big for my project i want them to fit the scale of the trailer and not look weird.im unsure

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use 3mm size on the trailers and for all running type lights.

    You did not mention how many LED's you can run through a RX without melting it or the option to run the switch from a power source like main battery and just connect the signal wire to RX. also any channel it is connected to need 100% throw each way or they do not function. BTW you can make a simple electric switch using an old servo PCB and connect the LED to the Servo motor wires.

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have run a bunch of LED's off one switch they draw such a small amount of power. Yes, you can run more power through them by bypassing the receiver power but really wanted to keep this simple and easy. Good idea for a future video though! Thanks! Bob

      So what resistor do you use? And if I buy leds already wired up to plug into receiver I should be good right? I like how simple your switch is. I've learned a good bit from Your videos.
