One thing Mr Bean taught me in this movie is that it’s not about the destination its about the journey
That's beautiful 😭❤

One of the best endings ever and for some reason it doesn't make me feel sad that it ends but it makes me happy instead.

I would say it’s because things (usually) never go right for Mr. Bean. There are always complications in his life that make things unpleasant. And seeing those cars line up to let him walk to the beach, seeing him happy with absolutely zero negative consequences is just a deeply cathartic moment for the audience. We don’t want to see him suffer any more. He is happy and will continue to be happy.
❤️❤️
Willem Dafoe doing the classic camera zoom move in sync with Mr Bean doing the same in the background always gets me😂
Directed by *CARSON CLAY*
@@BossySwan Film by Carson Clay
Haven't seen this movie in forever, but one thing I remember clearly was the fact that the camera survived the entire trip. XD
he had to charge it on the film! The bit where they were filming the yoghurt commercial and he unplugged the explosives to plug his camera in!
Also, after the credits there is a scene where the camera runs of battery.

Such a terrific, emotional conclusion for this timeless character. Miss you lots, Mr. Bean.
I don't want him to go :(
We all miss him-Mr.bean
He has his TH-cam channel where he currently has 20 million subscribers, although he doesn't upload too often (most of the time are compilations of his old shorts) there are some videos with the name Handy Bean where he appears
@@StellaOrdonez669 it's definitely not Rowan though
@@StellaOrdonez669 I don't understand this channel how is it cool just put millions times same Mr Bean cartoon or Mr Bean episodes if so many people watched it already. It's also weird how mostly in comment section are little kids in Mr Bean's channel.
The ending alone is great, but when you watch the entire movie, it makes it even better.
I watched this as a kid, and I’ve never felt so happy for him when he found the beach. I didn’t cry tears of joy, but I was still overwhelmed.
Despite losing a lot of stuff and having bad luck at times, he still followed his goal with just a suit and a camera. And when he finally found the beach, to his destination, I was hopping around because I was so happy for this eccentric man.
Such an innocent and fun movie, honestly.
Awesome 😎😎😎
One of my childhood favorites
Agree
0:08 notice how he’s not doing that goofy smile he always does, it’s just pure and genuine happiness.😊
Love how the cars are in the right moment, right place and right order.
yeah, it's really satisfying. I just watched the movie with my brother and I told him that in reality he would have tripped, landed on his face and would've broken something lol
It's Mr. Bean's power, ultimate luck.
@@sadken7800 He has ultimate luck but the downside is he is twice as unlucky.
Edit: Let's not forget to mention that everyone he met during the film was there on the beach.
And the guy
At any one time that scene could have gone very wrong…..but didn’t.
He really never asked for an adventure, a companion, or a fun travel across Europe. No. He was just a simple-minded guy. All he wanted to experience was the beach. The promise of getting to spend a day along the sunny shores, that was what he was there for. He earned it, with lots of bonuses added along with it. Mr. Bean deserved his holiday.
Honestly Mr. Bean really earned this moment, it's still so heartwarming
Magnificent 👍😎😂😂
I feel like Mr Bean is basically the embodiment of just being happy for what you have, and making the most out of life. Just because you don’t have everything doesn’t mean you can’t be happy
1:07 always gets me in tears, how happy he is ❤️
He is a fallen angel, but this is his divine salvation, his Holy Day (Holiday). Amazingly, if you look at the translation into English of "La Mer" you will see a reference to this. Richard Curtis is a genius, but even he is not that clever. This is the wondrous Holy Spirit offering us a sign here through culture...
It just makes me happy when he sees the beach :D
Reddblue ikr! It’s like he’s found his destiny

The amount of positive energy in this video incredible
Magnificent 😂😂😂😂😎😎

the canonical ending
His cartoon show: Am I a joke to you?
@@mcstudioproductions3512 Many people prefer live action Mr. bean as opposed to animated, but yes, his Cartoon, which is a separate Canon essentially. This Movie was meant to be the end of Mr. Beans journey.
But it's still Mr. Bean, isn't it?
@@mcstudioproductions3512 Yeah, at least. It's just that most of us prefers Live Action Mr Bean rather than his cartoon, not hating on his cartoon. Same goes with normal cartoon shows, where many prefers the cartoon version rather than live action. Live Action is what Mr Bean started out as or the OG, and his daily life troubles is just much funnier due to it being live action, I personally find it that way, Mr Bean's charms just don't work as well in animated format to me as well as real life.
He’s so innocent :^)
Elys Robjohn I liked ur comment because of ur profile picture *tears*

But seriously why is that guy on the middle of the surfing stairs? He got whats coming to him honestly lol
Even though Bean is alive it feels like he died and the beach is really heaven. It would make sense if this was Bean in the afterlife as Rowan Atkinson says that this was the last time he would play Bean at least in tv and film as he felt he was getting to old to play the role. 😟😟😟
what about the cameo at the Londan olympics?
Rowan atkinson is too old to make Mr.Bean but is doing Johnny english again
bean not dead yet. hes coming from another film from china
In an interview in 2016, he said he would never retire from the character.

I remember watching this movie as a kid in theaters and I was crying of happiness. Good times
Rowan Atkinson is a legend. He's done so much and spoke little as Mr. Bean and many of his live acts. This man has his name stamped on the history books.
Now THAT's how you end a movie! :-D
I agreed
Now that's how you pick a screen name: *Groundhog Day 1993 is AWESOME!* 😁 very cool sir XD
One of the best endings to any movie out there its just so pure
Let’s all agree, he made our childhood so much better.
👏👏👏👏👍😂😂😂😂😂
I love Mr. Bean for the same reason I loved Napoleon Dynamite. They are characters without arcs, because they are happy with who they are. Instead, they force everyone around them to have an arc, and come to love them for who they are.
From 4 years old me and my family went to the French Mediterranean almost every year and from The Netherlands that’s quite a long drive. Slowly you started to see the environment become dryer and the sun always comes out around the same point below Lyon. And then when we arrived, and you opened the doors of the car, you smelled and heard the sea and felt the sun on your skin and then when you finally saw the sea I always became emotional and I still do. The Mediterranean really is very unique and really makes you feel like at home.
My husband and I used to travel down by train from the UK almost every year too. Your beautiful description brought back some lovely memories. I remember the view from the train window, of the landscape slowly changing, slowly getting drier and then as you say, the sun starting to come out just south of Lyon, then the olive trees appearing. I remember the first glimpses of the sea after getting past Marseille, that beautiful stunning blue sea, then when the train arrived in Cannes (or sometimes Antibes) stepping off the train and feeling the warmth of the air surround you, then walking along the street you start smelling the sea, hearing the cicadas and seeing buildings everywhere coloured by bougainvillea and oleander. France's south-east coast is very special indeed.
It’s nice to see the boy and Mr Bean actually being friends now. I love how everyone got the wrong idea that he was abducting him, but they were just trying to get to Cannes togetherS
😎😂😂😂😂👍
I watched this when i was 10, I couldn't stop laughing in every scene, including this ending
But now, somehow my eyes got teary when I realized he went into some challenges during his journey.
Rowan Atkinson is a darn great actor, and kudos to all who involved in the making of the movie

The one scene that made me fall in love with the "La Mer" song.
A Perfect ending for a perfect film
Watching this scene when I was little was one of the happiest moments of my life how do we playback time
see what you did there
For some strange reason I always get a bit emotional at the start of this scene, something about that strange little man and his simple dream of seeing warm sand and blue waves being fulfilled. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once said “Dream no small dreams for they have no power to move the hearts of men” and I guess he was wrong after all
Unironically one of the best endings of films in my opinion, wholesome and happy.

The most beautiful scene in cinematic history
I've said that too! Not all cinematic brilliance has to be dark, cynical hogwash.
The grunt from the guy getting stepped on is no doubt the best part of the film
That's a pretty funny scene. I think the part where the guy on the bike took forever to get to Bean was the best haha

It wasn't French. Mr. Bean has always been a British production in English from the beginning.
Tommy Dee Wait mr beans british
The actor is British his Name is Rowan Atkinson.

I think the French adds to it as it keeps the adaptable nature of the original series where anyone from any country can watch it and understand what’s going on
This song popped into my head at 4am and I had to hear it again, thank you mr bean your a hero

It's so joyful to see Willem Dafoe happily smiles on every ending of movies staring Willem Dafoe
Rowan Atkinson true actor worldwide and Emma de Caunes beautiful 😍♥️💐
This movie was far greater than the sum of its parts. Critics who have long abandoned innocent fun in favour of haughty elitism threw this film to the dogs because their sense of self importance couldn't allow them to laugh at something a bit silly and fun.
Right on
Too deep man but you're right.
And my great sir, your comment has much more elitism than those of critics.
Well said Carson Clay
To be really honest...The first time when I saw a beach...I really had tears in my eyes...I relived that moment in this video
1997 - Bean
2007 - Mr Bean Holiday
Both were amazing and made us laugh. Rowan Atkinson is legend and great actor.
Mr Bean is pure happiness. I want someday be so happy as him.
Now this is how you end a movie
Beautiful ending. Funny, honest and uplifting.
Can you believe that this movie has 53% on rotten tomatoes?
Wrongs must be righted
how dare they
Because critics criticize even the tinniest aspects in movies people who casually enjoy movies can’t understand the scores they give. That’s why people don’t read the reviews that much nowadays because the opinion on movies differes a lot between people
I know, also Bean: The Ultimate Disaster Movie (1997) have 41% on Rotten Tomatoes :(
I'm glad I'm not the only person who likes this movie!
When Bean zooms in and out on the rubber balls :) Such a thing gives him so much joy. So true to the character, so pure!

00:08 When summer holidays begin :)
This is one of the most wholesome movies in the world
Glad Rowan retired the character after this movie, this scene and film as a while was a terrific send off for the character
This was literally Mr Bean’s farewell. Even though we saw him later in Comic Relief, I always thought that took place before Mr Bean’s Holiday. Farewell Bean, we still have more of Rowan’s characters to watch.
Edit: I’ve just realised, all the films and all the recent Mr Bean sketches don’t have a laugh track. That my friends is because this character has aged so well, made 3 generations of planet Earth laugh and helped us remember, there’s always happy parts in life that doesn’t need anything like a laugh track to make it even better. I hope Sir Atkinson lives as long as he can, and when he fully retires, he lives a peaceful end to his extremely memorable life. Thanks Mr Atkinson for helping everyone understand (mostly older people) that there’s always happiness in life, and you have to find it to make it more memorable and happy.

This described me to a tee. I travel a lot, and it was the main thing I missed during the lockdown year. So when I finally got abroad again, got off the light rail in Nice, heard foreign accents, saw full cafe terraces, and saw the Mediterranean again, this was exactly how I felt.
