I love this drama. The ML made me cry buckets. The kid made me smile a lot. He got adult lines and a very good actor. The leads have good communication and they went after the bad guys together. They deserve happiness.
Good to watch the communication between ML & FL...changing mistrust to trusting each other 👏👏👏. The kid was clever, smart & cunning. The way he talks to his father was fascinating 🤗🤗🤗😍😍😍💕💕💕. The ending was unexpected but shows the maturity of the couple ❤❤❤. Overall, worth watching this drama 👍👍👍
The ending was perfect instead of the usually rushed and ridiculous endings where the male lead gets magically forgiven and an instant happy ending because he’s supposedly sorry after spending most of the drama being abusive and controlling. One hour in a the male lead was still grabbing and imprisoning the female lead. He never treated her like and equal or with respect. She needs to know she can take care of herself and her son. And needs to know he has actually changed from this controlling man. And HE needs to prove that he is not the same controlling man who treated her like his property. Bravo!

I like the police officer. He fought the dad for the kid. 😂 Smart ML. He knows how to read between the lines and immediately figured out that there are powerful forces at play behind the incident 5 years ago. I like that he’s not easily fooled. The FL is smart too, it’s just that her feelings for the ML makes it difficult for her to be objective towards him. Hence she’s able to find out the duplicity of her savior after her son questioned the guy’s intentions. The son is not only cute but also got his smarts from both parents. He is able to guide both parents when they’re both being too emotional with his logical questions. I also like how the story progressed. It was all about solving the misunderstanding and finding their path towards being partners again, unlike in other dramas where either the ML or the FL quarrel due to misunderstanding and lack of communication and then just clear those misunderstandings at the last 10 minutes of the movie.
Finally. Leads that dont get dumb for plot convenience. They are not perfect but they act appropriately based on the situation and available info. I love how the FL drew a boundary between her and ML until late in the drama. Coz it makes sense given what she's been through. She clearly knows what she deserves and does not come back to ML even after resolving the misunderstanding. Coz she knows that the truth is not the only issue they are facing. Amazing. ❤❤ I also love how the ML initially acted on emotions yet given info, is able to assess the situation clearly and make sound decisions. I also love that he knows how to apologize properly and own up to his negligence. Despite not doing anything wrong, he accepted his mistake of not making FL feel secure. Hes a bit overboard sometimes tho but this wont be a proper vertical drama if hes not. Hahaha OMG. Im usually biased with FLs but this time, i have more good things to say about the ML. ❤❤ This is how you write proper humans. Kudos to the writers. Its not fluffy and chill, but you wont be stressed watching this. ❤❤❤

Congratulations to the playwright! An intelligent storyline and great lines for the actors(only 2 hackneyed llnes). The whole cast had their delivery under control..no pouting, slapping, stamping of feet. The kid had difficult long passages for one so young. Congratulations to the director!! Thank you all. One intelligent drama, well performed by all.(including wardrobe)
I liked this drama. Ladies must hold their individuality even you're married. Then, you don't know who you are. ML and FL quite good chemistry and sweet couple. They acted well. Antagonist characters did their part well. They looked good. Rest of team done well. Little boy a really good actor. Good future in entertainment world. 😊

Great story with lots of twists and wonderful ending!!! The editting is not so good as the story does not always flow and there's a chunk where the story is in black and white a blurred. Definitely worth watching as cast is very good xxx

I love that she left in the end, like this whole time, everybody was thinking she was gonna change her mind like I’m gonna leave on my terms and I’m gonna come back on my terms. Because we forget that she left abruptly a year ago because the child returned without her permission. Sushi basically had her her life on hold for a year just to fulfill mommy duties she’s like I got a whole career. Imma go back and finish that and if it wraps up in two years, I’m gonna be back otherwise keep sitting pretty.
Recommended! It feels like this script was written by someone very progressive about women and then edited by someone else with a choking fetish. The messaging in this for women is very heartwarming. The notion of giving up your power and independence for a man and the consequences women face for it is very rarely touched on in these melodramas. FL has the biggest backbone and makes great points. Also, the ML makes some amazing progress and realisations that feel authentic to the overall themes. However, there are a few scenes that feel so out of place. I can believe that the choking is meant to be a representation of his lack of respect towards her and he does stop being like that when he realises his mistakes. Absolutely recommend!

I won't say no abuse Cause when the ML is strangling FL's neck its abuse Psychological abuse that she had to threaten to kill herself if he won't let her go is also part of the abuse. This was better than all of the somewhat same plot shows I've seen. Believe me, I've seen a lot of them. The son role was great. The husband was totally different, not the abuser and it was just the evil woman. And most of all of those crazy incidents to either kill, kidnapped, and/or funny laughing women.

The amount of trauma this child would have from witnessing his father abuse his mother, his grandmother abuse his mother, his mother threatening to unalive herself in front of him, verbal and physical abuse from his grandmother would be HUGE! They actslike this is just fine for a child to witness! It’s not. Also, Do the writers of these dramas think that men own their wives and can legally control and imprison them ? Because every drama seems to have a controlling arrogant violent male lead who keeps saying that he can do what he wants because she is his wife. It doesn’t matter if they are married or divorced. He does not get to imprison her or assault her! I am very glad they moved past that part relatively quickly and he showed that he was willing to change and they cleared up a lot of the prior misunderstandings!
The smart young kid did a great part in the story by finding his root in his biological dad & great grandfather & thus exposing the real culprits but the most important part was reuniting his parents who still really loves each other & he succeeded in his mission as a young silent detective. The writer also emphasized that a wife shd not only focus her job at home but rather let her grow & shine in her chosen field of profession making her more confident & not totally dependent on her husband. It was a nice drama with unexpected beautiful ending coz the husband found out that his wife was now working in the hospital. Story is very interesting, especially the son. From the beginning he asked the cop to arrest his parents. ❤❤❤ Sometimes he was clever than his father❤❤
I love that she didn't go back to him because of the kid. The final test for him was if he was really willing to let her go. If he didn't she would know that he hadn't really changed and knew she would have to escape by letting her go she would eventually come back on her own. Ml definitely irritated me at beginning talking about how he loved her and missed her but he strangled her right in front of her child. Yeah thats not helping his case of trying not to murder her five years prior and him not understanding how she could think he was capable of doing it. His problem was not enough communication and to control and once she got free of him and started to live on her own again she remembered what she was capable of she stopped being so insecure and knew she didn't want to go back to that type of life.
This is the first to see that the paternity test was done at two places. As expected, the result is not the same. It's a smart move for Mr. Huo. Timestamp 20:10, the picture turned blurry. It' 's hard to see what is going on. From timestamp 1:40:29 to 1:42:50 I think is the best part of this drama: Mu Yian is correct to say if a woman is too dependent on a man, "the ending can only be a tragedy." She voices out all her grievances from five years ago that make sense. Women should not give up their careers for the sake of their husbands. Women should be independent, and free to choose and not be bound by marriage.

FL doesn't say she would never get back to him. She come back year later and they meet in the hospital, it more like an open minded ending .

Gostei do drama, pois mostra que devemos respeitar o querer do outro. Ele aprendeu com ela e amadureceu. Ela não desistiu do seu querer por causa do filho. Acho horrível esses dramas em que a mulher depois de sofrer no casamento volta por causa dos filhos. Mães precisam explicar para os filhos o pq da separação e o pq não quer voltar. Esse drama no final mostra que é possível recomeçar de uma forma mais leve e confiante, pois deu a entender que ela volta pra tentar uma nova vida com ele e com as mudanças que ambos tiveram. Poor kid would be traumatized by the abuse of his mother by his father and grand mother. Repeatedly! I’m glad he isn’t one of those kids in dramas who keeps trying to push his mother back with the abusive father the whole time. But not 4-5 year old should ever watch his father abuse his mother! No!
He wants her to trust him she said let me loose and don’t touch me. A person who wants to be trusted wouldn’t violate someone that they haven’t seen for 5 years and is having a hard time trusting them again. The writers need someone who can think through these scenarios.
He DID make big mistakes. Mainly around how he treated her when they were alone AND in front of their child! He literally was physically abusive and controlling-kidnapping her and grabbing her by the neck and throwing her around and imprisoning her against her will at his home. He literally thinks that he has the right to do these things because she is his wife. 🤮 AND he did many of these in front of his son-he had no hesitation in abusing his son’s mother right in front of the child! These are NOT somehow excusable because “he misunderstood”. If anything they are indicative of the kind of man he is. She is very smart of leave and consider her choices. “I’m sorry” doesn’t erase the trauma and hurt. And she needs to be sure she wants to get back with an arrogant and controlling man who has shown her that he did not treat her like an equal or respect or trust her. And she needs to be sure he will be safe for her son. If he has really changed, he should be willing to understand that she needs time. If he hasn’t changed he will go right back to being controlling her.

This was better than all of the somewhat same plot shows I've seen. Believe me, I've seen a lot of them. The son role was great. The husband was totally different, not the abuser and it was just the evil woman. And most of all of those crazy incidents to either kill, kidnapped, and/or funny laughing women.

The amount of trauma this child would have from witnessing his father abuse his mother, his grandmother abuse his mother, his mother threatening to unalive herself in front of him, verbal and physical abuse from his grandmother would be HUGE! They actslike this is just fine for a child to witness! It’s not.
Also, Do the writers of these dramas think that men own their wives and can legally control and imprison them ? Because every drama seems to have a controlling arrogant violent male lead who keeps saying that he can do what he wants because she is his wife. It doesn’t matter if they are married or divorced. He does not get to imprison her or assault her!
I am very glad they moved past that part relatively quickly and he showed that he was willing to change and they cleared up a lot of the prior misunderstandings!

The smart young kid did a great part in the story by finding his root in his biological dad & great grandfather & thus exposing the real culprits but the most important part was reuniting his parents who still really loves each other & he succeeded in his mission as a young silent detective.
The writer also emphasized that a wife shd not only focus her job at home but rather let her grow & shine in her chosen field of profession making her more confident & not totally dependent on her husband.
It was a nice drama with unexpected beautiful ending coz the husband found out that his wife was now working in the hospital.
I've been addicted now on watching Chinese & Korean dramas even though so many errors in the English translation.

I love that she didn't go back to him because of the kid. The final test for him was if he was really willing to let her go. If he didn't she would know that he hadn't really changed and knew she would have to escape by letting her go she would eventually come back on her own. Ml definitely irritated me at beginning talking about how he loved her and missed her but he strangled her right in front of her child. Yeah thats not helping his case of trying not to murder her five years prior and him not understanding how she could think he was capable of doing it. His problem was not enough communication and to control and once she got free of him and started to live on her own again she remembered what she was capable of she stopped being so insecure and knew she didn't want to go back to that type of life.

From timestamp 1:40:29 to 1:42:50 I think is the best part of this drama: Mu Yian is correct to say if a woman is too dependent on a man, "the ending can only be a tragedy." She voices out all her grievances from five years ago that make sense. Women should not give up their careers for the sake of their husbands. Women should be independent, and free to choose and not be bound by marriage.

FL doesn't say she would never get back to him. She come back year later and they meet in the hospital, it more like an open minded ending .

Gostei do drama, pois mostra que devemos respeitar o querer do outro. Ele aprendeu com ela e amadureceu. Ela não desistiu do seu querer por causa do filho. Acho horrível esses dramas em que a mulher depois de sofrer no casamento volta por causa dos filhos. Mães precisam explicar para os filhos o pq da separação e o pq não quer voltar. Esse drama no final mostra que é possível recomeçar de uma forma mais leve e confiante, pois deu a entender que ela volta pra tentar uma nova vida com ele e com as mudanças que ambos tiveram. I’m glad he isn’t one of those kids in dramas who keeps trying to push his mother back with the abusive father the whole time. But not 4-5 year old should ever watch his father abuse his mother! No!
He wants her to trust him she said let me loose and don’t touch me. A person who wants to be trusted wouldn’t violate someone that they haven’t seen for 5 years and is having a hard time trusting them again. The writers need someone who can think through these scenarios.

He DID make big mistakes. Mainly around how he treated her when they were alone AND in front of their child! He literally was physically abusive and controlling-kidnapping her and grabbing her by the neck and throwing her around and imprisoning her against her will at his home. He literally thinks that he has the right to do these things because she is his wife. 🤮
AND he did many of these in front of his son-he had no hesitation in abusing his son’s mother right in front of the child!
These are NOT somehow excusable because “he misunderstood”. If anything they are indicative of the kind of man he is.
She is very smart of leave and consider her choices. “I’m sorry” doesn’t erase the trauma and hurt. And she needs to be sure she wants to get back with an arrogant and controlling man who has shown her that he did not treat her like an equal or respect or trust her. And she needs to be sure he will be safe for her son.
If he has really changed, he should be willing to understand that she needs time. If he hasn’t changed he will go right back to being controlling her.
