Stayed there before a part of a coach tour. It was ok for what we paid can't really complain. I have started taken a bleeding key with me on trips to do the radiators if they are cold In the room.
What time do they close the doors or do you get a key to let your self in later
Doesn't look too bad for 20 quid the room. Never known a hotel on Blackpool promenade so quiet during illuminations. Great vid pal
@@wanderingwiganer yeah not good that part. Especially with that kettle couldn't even have a brew to warm the cockles pal
@@wanderingwiganer Maybe one for summer? Do prices shoot up during the warmer months?
If I ever went to Blackpool to stop few days I would go there no problem
it was on tv featured in hotel by sea
It was nice and clean and the room wasn't huge, but it was okay for a single room. I hate being cold. That would put me off. Think this is the best hotel of the last three, it's just not warm enough.
Went there was there an hour, the room smelt of a sewer, there was used toothpicks with food on them on the bedside table and on the floor,
The kettle had a whole in it, asked for another room and there wasn’t any (apparently) we asked for a refund and had to speak to the owner mrs Walsh, tried getting hold of her and all I got was you’ve just missed her, or she’s in later, she will ring you back blah blah….. finally had to get a refund from Expedia, it stated our room had a “courtyard view” all we could see was rooms opposite and a pile of old furniture and mattresses.
Our bed was stained and only half made it looked like someone had got out of it, the kettle had a hole in it as well and we didn’t pay £20 per night either DO NOT STAY THERE YOU’VE BEEN WARNED !
That room has a spooky vibe to it . Explains the cold areas as its the presence of spirits/ghosts past 🤔
It's OK for a few nights just to sleep and shower 🚿 thanks for sharing 👍
Freezing cold temperatures were exactly what greeted me when i came to this hotel in October 2022. That time i stayed in Room 200 and it was so cold that i had to buy a fan heater to keep warm. Three years before that i stayed in Room 219m and it must have been the worst hotel room ever, my view was a brick wall would you believe.
Not bad at that price but in this freezing weather u would expect the room to be warm. The chair was probably there to keep the bathroom door closed.
Did you try the Atlanta Restaurant when you stayed in this hotel in this vid. The food in there was very good.
That certainly looks a completely different hotel to the one on TV years ago. It looks worlds apart yet it's the same hotel from that programme.
Not bad for £20. Shame about the coldness 🥶 of the room. But it looked clean.
Looks okay I've been following you so if I book something with Caledonian travel I no way I'm in for after 2 disjointing hotels thay use these budget hotels better checking accommodation out we only had 1 Toilet role no hot water at Norbreck castle hotel 5days ago we was at that one bloody he'll I had non stop problems.
Is this the owner who featured in the mid 2000's on a tv series about the Hotel.Looks like nothing changed.I've stayed there in the mid 2000's they only took cash at the time. One of the staff was the drag artist Steph I think he was called.Food was average rooms were cold back then.
Stayed there sea view room it did the job
Needs a locker room to dump luggage if u arrive early
Brekfast was ok
Considering some you see for £20 it's luxury
Due to a mix-up with our original accommodation, we ended up staying here on viewing the reviews. I can only guess the positive reviews from other guests were from a different hotel. Almost empty hotel but told only the dearer sea view rooms were available. We thought our room was bed & breakfast but that was extra. We had a very small dog but we were charged £30 for 2 nights. Parking? Thats another £5 a night. Want to leave your luggage behind the reception? Thats £2 per item. The room was small and very, very tired. Tv in the room was tiny. A single rather suspect lift served the floors. Housekeeping basically told us to leave on our departure day as they wanted to get in our room. They did try to offer entertainment but playing bingo with 10 other people didnt make winning very profitable. The guy who did some singing was enjoyable. Overall, best avoided, in my opinion. Didn't offer value for money
I mean its £20 a night, all id really expect is some basic utilities and safety which it seems to do well enough
@AbigailParks-bk3le im taking you either a relative to someone who owns this terrible hotel or you are an owner. As i said we were told the cheaper rooms were full which they obviously werent and expected breakfast included for a start. The room was cold, cramped, very tired. The housekeeping staff were awful.
When you add the extras they charge its not cheap anymore - it's a budget hot if you can get the cheap rooms but I wouldn't want to pay much more
OMG !!! 😂 is the kettle clean !! Jezzzzz it’s filthy it’s not bad !!! 😂😂😂 not sayin anythin 😂😂 till the next one 😊
For 20 a night I'd live there
In cheap hotels drink guests usually p in the kettle 😮
It had closedown for years think it still is
Worth the money but should have tried the food
Stayed there once years ago. Total crap hole.
Listen , what can you buy for £20 not a lot, en suite bathroom with shower ok it was cold as said put the heater on leave the room go for a pint or cup off tea come back have a warm shower room should be ok just leave the heater on all night theirs your £20 back !!!!!
The boiler of that side of the building properly was not working.
£20 ? BARGAIN !
its a race to the bottom in blackpool ... £ 20 is ridiculous ... the hotel is making no profit at all
Been its not presidential i assure all watching. Been at worse 😕 in Blackpool
Seen alot worse 👍
Why are they si dull and depressing.?
That works out 560 pound a month which is cheaper than renting a flat in London and no utility bills.
Good video.
Fortunately Blackpool isn't in London.
*Fortunately for us Northeners.
