Seen these guys live in the 70's with my girlfriend Mary. We had it good back then and we have it good now with all the technology we have to listen to all the old hits.
Grew up in the BEST era of music, Always remember this gem. Thanks to you tube you can find any and all of my obscure favorites. Found Aimless Lady by my all time favorites Grand Funk Railroad.
Este grupo gustó mucho en La Paz, Bolivia en 1982 con canciones como My Girl y I believe que sonaron radios como Stereo 97 y la FM 90. Qué tiempos. Saludos desde las alturas.
I did live in those days and I remember these guys very well. Music has certainly changed there's no doubt. This stuff takes me back to simpler times. Thanks for posting !
I have the old 8track of this. Got it at least 10 years ago in a bulk sale. Now its in my valuable collection and still sounds great in my old motorola player.
I saw them a couple of years ago it was great. Besides all their great hits like this one they did this native drum solo that was mesmerizing. I would go again in heart beat.
Brings back memories of them 70s Rutland B.C. dances. Many times Chilliwack, would finish early because the R.C.M.P would shut them down due to the many fights going on!lol!
Damn. If your near or over 50, imagine one summer, laying in the hammock with a cold one, close your eyes , listen to this song and you'll become a teenager again. Now I truly understand what my parents meant by "Geez, time fly so fast".
I've always wondered how they got the great sound on this album. My vinyl still has CD clarity ... except for the wear of being played for decades. When it was new I couldn't get over the sound quality. That was years before CDs appeared.
You don't need to apologize for Celine. I've only heard "My Heart Will Go On", so I can't speak for her material, but since she doesn't write her own songs, what counts is how she sings. And she's got one of the ten or twenty best sets of pipes in showbiz today. And I love "My Heart Will Go On"!
Nearly 5 full minutes of dreamy musical bliss.... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... I'll be back for more as time permits!!! Kudos to the one who posted this perfect harmonic gem!!!
agreed...we saw this group at a small festival in 2002...they were headliners...something magic that night, can't explain it, because the crowd wasn't particularly large...probably one of the best shows i've ever seen, not kidding...opening groups were helix and sass jordan...
great stuff, I can totally relate one of the most undiscovered bands ever, hope it worked out anyway for them, I would see them in a heartbeat and be dam proud of them as Canadian rockers
I have to agree, the USA bands seemed to loose their way with "Techno Pop" While "Canadian Bands" seemed to stay true to 70's "Classic Rock" All mentioned are "Awhsome!"
Aldo Nova, Lighthouse, Helen Reddy. The Stampeders, A Foot in cold water and one of the best ever...TRIUMPH!!!!!!!! I saw Teenage Head at Ontario Place in 78 or 79, f**king smoked the place.
The Abbotsford airport is closer to Chilliwack although not all airlines fly in there. BC is an incredible place, especially if you like the mountains, the ocean, and nature in general. Vancouver is very cosmopolitan though with 2 million people but nature is only 20 minutes away generally.
This is a great album. The sound quality on the vinyl is amazing. When CDs came out I thought that they must sound like this album. I don't know how this was done.
@bucky468 The Fox was a mellow rock station that ran from March 1991 to about 1993 or so. It was simulcast on both 101.1 and 105.7 FM, the former later became The River (which has gone through several more identity changes since then), the latter The Point (which still exists and plays alternative rock). I wouldn't say it rivaled KSHE due to the mellow format, but it was the first oldies station I listened to regularly, and introduced me to a number of 70's songs. I was 16 at the time...
Well, I'm from Chile in South America and here the only way to get the songs and albums of Chilliwack is just by downloading them from the web. Anyway I've been lucky 'cause I've got all their albums. Please I need somebody can upload more videos about them. There's just a few, and I'd like to know if there are videos of the songs "Midnight", "Lonesome Mary", or any. I heard about them 'cause one good day I was recording music from the radio. And they played "Midnight". I loved it immediatelly.
The only one of these bands I've ever heard of is Toronto. I remember the video of a song called "Your Daddy Don't Know" that appeared on MTV in the early 80s. It was just a straight performance video, on videotape, the kind that was very common then. I thought it was an O.K. song but I don't believe it charted on Billboard. By now I'm probably the only American who remembers the group at all.
So you are about the age I was when I heard the song when it came out in '77!! :) Check out some of the other Chiliwack songs here on youtube, especially "Crazy Talk", which I've always loved.
She was great, especially Katy's 80's! Yeah, the company that owns KSHE owns KHTS in St Louis and they did some staff shake ups. Do you remember the station 97 the ROCK? It was short lived because it competed with KSHE and they got rid of most of the staff there but kept one guy, last Mike Durand (Durant?) Still, KSHE is Numero Uno!
Love this song, love Chilliwack. Oh man, we have such great Canadian bands from this era like Trooper, Prism, Rush, April Wine. Awesome.
It's bands like Chilliwack, Rush and Max Webster that make me wish I were a Canadian teen in the 80's.
70's rock'n roll doesn't get any better than this. Rock on Chilliwack!!
forgot this song for a few years. like all great songs they find they're way back to ya!
The 80's knew where the music was at, and it came from the heart in those days.
I'd never heard of Chilliwack until I saw this movie and heard this song.....but it's awesome. Just love the refrain and the guitar licks.
Seen these guys live in the 70's with my girlfriend Mary. We had it good back then and we have it good now with all the technology we have to listen to all the old hits.
No matter what some people think. Every time I hear this song since early 80s, it moves me.
Grew up in the BEST era of music, Always remember this gem. Thanks to you tube you can find any and all of my obscure favorites. Found Aimless Lady by my all time favorites Grand Funk Railroad.
chilliwack is such a talented band ....amazing that they are here still...as good as any from the 70s
Im 16 and I LOVE this song.. Thats how good it is!
Let's not forget one of the best Canadian bands ever, Blue Rodeo! Hasn't hit me yet is one of the top 25 Canadian songs ever!
OMG, I have not heard this incredible song in at least 30 flippin' years. Awesome!
Este grupo gustó mucho en La Paz, Bolivia en 1982 con canciones como My Girl y I believe que sonaron radios como Stereo 97 y la FM 90. Qué tiempos. Saludos desde las alturas.
Loved this song from the first time I heard it, back in 77.
I did live in those days and I remember these guys very well. Music has certainly changed there's no doubt. This stuff takes me back to simpler times. Thanks for posting !

KSHE rocks! I live near St Louis-listened to them since I was in 6th grade and I'm 44 now!
Excellent!!! I love TH-cam, Another classic I haven't heard in years. Thanks!!!
This used to get played on K-SHE 95 in St. Louis on the classics show. I have it on an old worn cassette. Thanks for posting it here!
Heard this song on Goon last nite, havent heard it in years. What a kick ass Canadian song!
One of the greatest Canadian songs ever
Yes it does. Great music. Shame no one does this anymore.
Brings back memories of them 70s Rutland B.C. dances. Many times Chilliwack, would finish early because the R.C.M.P would shut them down due to the many fights going on!lol!
the movie, "Goon" introduced me to this song and i have to say...i love this song
Great riff….great song,
I think we can all agree to agree that Chilliwack is a great band..

Goon brought me here! Perfect tune to hear on the road
Damn. If your near or over 50, imagine one summer, laying in the hammock with a cold one, close your eyes , listen to this song and you'll become a teenager again. Now I truly understand what my parents meant by "Geez, time fly so fast".
I still have this album...used to wear this song out!!!
This song makes me feel alright so i keep coming back for more!
31 years??!!?
You mean it wasn't just ten years? I'm feeling old.
Thanks a bunch for reminding me!
I've always wondered how they got the great sound on this album.
My vinyl still has CD clarity ... except for the wear of being played for decades.
When it was new I couldn't get over the sound quality. That was years before CDs appeared.
love it brother
April Wine and Chilliwack are Canada's best bands, and are both some of the best in the world.
This song motivated me to keep on knockin' and sellin'....
I've seen them live a couple times now, this was the encore both times, such an awesome song.

one of the best canadian songs ever
Absolutely fantastic. Brilliantly composed and performed. I

super underrated, and at the same time, super mindblowing.
