Good poseability. Now you can set up a diorama of the cantina where Greedo falsely imprisoned Han and threatened his life prompting Han to fire the one and only shot in self defence.
I recently did this hack myself, much better with the plastic vest. It’s good to have an extra Greedo as they all dress the same in the movies anyway haha
@@OnlyOneKenobi I have another hack for you and maybe you like it. So the other day I read an Aphra comic. I saw her wearing a trench coat. That gave me the idea of Doc Aphra Archeologist Disguise. For this hack the red vest must be changed against the vest of Jyn Erso, the bag of the Indiana Jones figure and last the trench coat of the Saga Collection Han Solo (in trench coat) Imho she looks really cool :)
Really need to do this, especially since I need to upgrade my greedo. The greedo I have is the potf 2 greedo. Now I want to hop on eBay and do this. Great video!
I guess it depends on which Greedo you consider the definitive version; the one played by Paul Blake wearing the more detailed vest during filming in England or the one played by Maria De Aragon in the pick-up shots in the U.S. The latter got much more screen time. Evidently, the only part of the costume that didn't get shipped in time for those reshoots was the vest. Consequently, a different vest was quickly fabricated but even though it's the same color it's noticeably different in style. As much as I prefer the shorter, detailed vest, I'll be using the other one in any cantina display opposite Solo. The other can be one of Jabba's other goons.

Very true! And I was trying to fin out if it was also Beedo walking in the streets of Eisley but I couldn't find ONE image last night... I guess if was coz he's seen with Jabva?! Bug it has to be a legit continuity error... looks like it's Greedo back from the friggin dead!!
Great hack on this one, this is definitely the one I have to do. I just got this figure carded and don't have a loose one yet. As far as suggested hacks that I've done, I used a 2007 Target exclusive 30th anniversary Emperor from the 2-pack with Commander Vill and used the robe from the 1999 Darth Maul on speeder bike and simply put the robe on the Emperor for my definitive figure.
I'll have ho check those figures out (coz I don't own them) to get a sense of what you'll create, but sounds great man. Funnily enough, I have an emperor/Sidious figure hack coming up so stay tuned! 😉 O.O.K 👌🏼💙

A vast improvement - I think Hasbro thought soft goods would add value but it just looks way too big. You might be able to make the young Rodian Wald from Episode I by using Greedo's head on young Anakin's body - not sure how many have a ball joint though?
I had forgotten about those two in my 2004 and 2006 collecting. I think I did buy a second 2006 VOTC at that time. I'll make sure if I want to do anything with it. I like the Greedos better than the Ree Yees being Jabba The Hutt Dark Forces thermal detonator throwers at Kyle Katarn. I didn't really see glowing three eyes in that computer game. Flourescent greenish yellow and small flourescent orange render around eyes painted on could eork. Paint applications and other shoulder cloth designs out of fabric materials make the cheaper Greedos of 1995-6 perfect for customs. Non articulation in knees, elbows, angles (and toes?) in 5PAs can probably be done with sharp X-acto knife cuts. Then elbow pads, knee pads and shoe modifications can be worked with to get a population of the Greedo aliens.

(can't remember her name) done in the six inch line. Probably I'm going to put goggles on the 2017 TLJ's sister pilot of Rose Tico and use her pilot helmet on another figure. So many 5PA custom possibilities in the near future if $8 USD (price point of Disney 5PAs) doesn't sell well in them. I didn't buy more than two I hadn't planned to custom experiment on.
I had a “hack” you could try (and you may have already done it). To make an articulated ROTJ Emperor, I’ve used an evolutions Sideous/Emperor and used the robes and hood from the TVC Maul. I think it is a big improvement and he can sit in a throne display.
Something very similar!!! And (with no disrespect) I think this is better (ciz I've never been a fan of the Maul hood) but, only very recently, I put the hood of the TVC Phantom Menace Sidious and put it on my Sith Evolutions Palpatine. I did this for two reasons... the Sith evolutions THEN looks like the Phantom Menace sidious.... AND then with the hood off the actual Phantom Menace Sidious, you can have an expanded universe Ian Mcdermid sith Palpatine training Maul for example. I thought I'd mentioned this in a video but perhaps not... I'll do it in an upcoming Figure Hack video and also give you a mention coz you've reminded me! 😉👌🏼
Great video Nick...such a simple change but i think it vastly improves the already superior VTSC greedo figure.....I think you need to work on the voice impression though😂🤣 it worries me to think I may sound like that....at least it explains why I don’t speak in my diorama videos 😂🤣😂
Greedo is a fixture in the Star Wars universe always been always will be. A Rodian bounty hunter he was blasted by Han Solo. I’ve never gotten a updated version of greedo yet . I have all the the original cantina creatures and they are great and I mean great condition. But one thing I never understood why he didn’t have at least painted on vest for back then that would’ve been cool lol At least he would’ve had one on . I really like that saga collection greedo detail is absolutely on point even the Soft goods Vest 👍🏿 perfect. And the vintage style greedo I liked it greedo has always been one of my favorite characters growing up . I am in process now of ordering all the cantina creatures it’s going to cost me $292.91 from toywiz I don’t want to collect them one at a time it will definitely take me forever . Do you think thats a steep price ? Let me know what u think obi -wan Great video as usual ✌🏾.
