@@ibrahimalee23 I'm gonna be honest with you chief I didn't even realise your comment is two years old lmao, and yeah ig it's one of those things where you love and hate it.
The easiest way to make RL Craft extremely easy is just by going into the config and disabling instant death from critical head/body damage. Once you do that the entire challenge of the pack is just seeing how absurdly powerful you can make your sword with enchantments.

The Real Life part of RLCraft is supposed to represent how life is ruthless and is intentionally out to hurt you at every conceivable opportunity.
Except little to none of those encounters are random, instead they are just conflicts artificially moved to you, even if you mind your own bussiness while being extra careful.
In real life, not every single living thing is spawning specifically because of you and aiming to kill you out of all the possible things.
It's not rutheless, it's rigged.

I think the mod author was hurt by someone he loved.....
So it's a mod that punishes you for defending yourself, while also crippling you early game for the fun of it.
Look my boy dark souls at least gave me a SWORD
Dark Souls at least undertood that game mechanics should matter to the gameplay. Having diferent life bars for every limb but it never matter because the head always take damage first effectively reduce your life bar to the head lifebar what it the opposite of meaningful gameplay mechanics
dark souls has difficulty, RLcraft has artificial difficulty. the core gameplay of minecraft doesn't really leave much room for meaningful difficulty lole

@Chairsbane, I think what happened was minecraft move away from what it was originally intended.
I remember back on alpha monsters were horror monster instead of action monsters and what I mean by that is, if you saw a monster back then you run away, now you stay and fight. Creepers were everywhere and they did actually blend in with grass and trees, also Skeletons were terrefying, with the way bows work back then it would be more fitting to say Skeletons walk with machine guns instead of a bow and arrow.
Now a huge portion of the game is combat centered, you don't really fear any mob when you have full enchanted diamond armor, a sword with sharpness 3 and stacks of gold apples or potions. Obviously this was intended but I think the shift hinders the game a lot being something in between horror and action but not exceeding in none.
RLCraft fails for the exact same reason. It tries to be realistic(In a fantasy setting) but fails miserable cause it also tries to focus on fantasy logic. A real life person has zero chance of killing a 2 ton flying dragon with medieval weaponry no matter how god a swordmanship they were. But instead of exploiting that in a surviving horror setting the mod throw Grim Reapers and Elemental Gods at your face every 5 minutes and expect you to fight them off. And it turn out it doesn't matter if you live of die because you will just respaw anyway, either in a random location with absolutely nothing(and you will probably die again) or if you have set spawn point you respaw with no loss whatsoever, so there is no stakes. I woudn't call that artificial dificulty just a total lack of understanding of the game, especially since it was suppose to be realistic.

Well, survival in the early ages was the human against horrible animals that were mostly unpredictable, and could maul you in seconds. The eldritch horrors maybe are put in the pack to evoke that feeling of fear of the unknown and utter weakness, as we all know about your creepers, and endermen; the older you get, the less scary they become.

This is how Ive felt about every modpack Ive ever played. Especially the "adventure" theme packs. They are almost always riddled with inconsistency and a wack ass early game where everything two hits you. Get killed by a million eldritch horrors for walking, and then by chance punch a skeleton to death get a legendary lootbag with 5 enchanted diamond shovels. Makes no sense.

Try Sprout. Nothing too insane, but very adventurey. Lot of mods though.

Okay but the dudes that spawn when you break rocks are super easy to beat. They're weak to pickaxes; I think they die in just like 3 or 4 hits from an iron one.

Honestly, I've never tried RLCraft because every video I've seen of it made it look like a bunch of high difficulty mods slapped together for the sake of being frustrating. The name doesn't even fit considering how many weird creatures it adds.
Guess I was right.
It's really not that bad, if you prepare for the various situations. While this might be hard to do early on, once you get things like water buckets and shields, you can really stop a LOT of the crazy things that happen. Gets even better once you get past that, and get good trinkets, mounts, and summons.
@@gaminggeckos4388 this does't change the fact that are just a bunch of mods slapped toghether, i might be wrong but the guy who made the modpack was a darksouls modder and this was like its first minecraft modpack, he literally knows nothing about the game, for some reason this became popular because some big youtuber made a video about it and people having shitty taste, like dude, there is difference between a game being really hard and simply being frustrating, this is just frustrating and, personally, i think besides this the exploration part sucks as there are really boring structures, and all thos creatures look so bad that everytime i see one of those things is like my eyes start to puke
