It’s been a while since I’ve been to Mt. Rushmore, its amazing to see first hand, I’ve been to the caves there [creepy and i don’t recommend for those who are claustrophobic] but oh my gosh is it pretty around there.
It was fantastic. I wish I could have stayed longer than the 30 mins we took to film the video! 😅

I wanted to try fursuiting at different landmarks once, and I tried to start with the Statue of Liberty. That was a huuuge fail lol.

I am curious what happened? Cuz I also want to do a whole thing fursuiting in various public places :3
@@SorenSladkevick You have to take a ferry to the island, but the ferry has strict security with bag scanners. My full suit was in a bag too big for the scanners and security wouldn't let me through. They refused to even inspect the bag. They didn't understand what I was trying to do when I explained it to them and said I'd need a filming permit. This was a while back so they might be more understanding of it today but you probably would need to keep your fursuit in small bags and carry your head separately - but definitely check their info online and try to reach out ahead of time.

I’m certain I could make a fortune doing that, but I earn more for my soul doing it for free than I would in cash doing it for money.

When we walked around before filming to check it out and plan stuff out we thought it was a bust of Lenin until we got closer, just cuz like. Lenin is always the one in busts it seems like?? Idk it was too funny of a line to edit out, I’m glad someone appreciates it xD

Why ask the park rangers for the ability to suit at Rushmore? Hence why would they indirectly say "you have free speech go right ahead"? Along the lines of what you said.
Good question! Some places have mask laws that make it impossible to fursuit (because the head counts as a mask and wearing a mask is illegal, for whatever reason). In this case I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t be kicked out. I had seen the signs about the monument being a protected free speech and expression area, but I wasn’t sure if costuming would be included so I wanted to double check. Turns out it was, and I had a lot of fun! I hope everyone else did too! :)
