- mysterious chest will follow you into multiplayer game - there is auto pickup, it's monkeys - there is autocraft, it's monkeys - there is extended inventory, it's monkeys carrying chests
I personally always go 1) Weapon 2) Bow 3) Axe 4) Pick 5) Hammer/Miscellaneous. Gotta have ya weapons on your first keys, Bro! Ready to roll out on fools at a moment's notice!
That's absolutely the kind of game I might enjoy, I also thoroughly enjoyed this video, thanks for the time and efforts you put into it Splatt' ! too many cool games these days and I would miss so many without you, keep it up.
There is autocrafting Splat. Use the Monkees 99% of the game revolves around monkeys. Also you're running into inventory space because you're trying to do everything. The monkeys are supposed to do everything they are the main feature of the game, this game is more like factorio with monkeys as conveyor belts from what I've seen
To be fair splattercat map quest was the thing till the new and improved Google maps appeared, however as a classic millennial from the 80s our boomer status is ensured, back when i was a kid all computer games were ran in dos.
I played the demo and took WAY too long trying to figure out how to do everything! I recorded two videos, but I need to do the voice over. I might also speed it up a little because I spent so much time walking around lol. Maybe I'll give the game another go. I had a difficult time getting into the game, because I was so confused.
I MUST HAVE THIS! Also, I wonder if the mysterious chest let's you put things in it and they appear wherever you place another chest? Like if you had one at your base, then one at the vendor, you could put stuff you wanna sell in it and it would be available at the vendor chest as well? 🤔
Man, I picked this up today and immediately checked the settings. I saw dyslexia mode and toggled it out of curiosity and left it on just because it's a much better looking font. I'm not even dyslexic.
Is the fact that he never uses the monkey, over the fear of a planet of the apes apocalypse, some sort of elaborate joke that i'm too autistic to get??
Not sure... I find it pretty stupid that he plays a game that emphasizes on monkey usage NOT using monkeys, this is one of the most frustrating videos that splat had uploaded that I watched.
One. I thought this game was just a skin change of escapists and passed, mistake. Two I used aol dial up to MapQuest my first girlfriends house so I could ride my bike there, you made me cry because I got your reference and I'm old.
I have a game that doesn't confine the cursor and crashes if you click on the second monitor or tab out in anyway. Cursor Lock is a great program that runs automatic for any game that you setup a quick profile
Made me remember spending a whole week of my summer stumping after my dad tried to pull a small stump up with some chains and a truck. That attempt cost him a rear bumper.
If you play enough games, it becomes a conditioned reflex and thus you might do it while watching something. It simply means you're probably a prolific gamer. :)
Splat, next time you go stumping just rent a 20 ton excavator and just pull the fkn trees out like a big weed. Works great, take out decent size pines like no tomorrow, even good size oaks if need be.
Hey man, love your videos. And I specially loved in this one how you recommended some cool stuff and QOLs to be implemented. Ahora, debes mejorar tu español. Ánimo! :D
Im Loving the Underground Indie Games.. Sir.. ive been a Fan of your channel for a long time, now im Subscribing. Keep up the good work sir!! #CstleNrds
At around th-cam.com/video/bX0MHT0g8gA/w-d-xo.html yu had 4 rope in your inventory and needed 2 to make the chest so while I dont know if the game has autocraft for resoruces, No autocraft happened there. Tried out the demo for a couple hours and watched a review. Game sames a bit akward to play when you ahve a lot of monkeys and objects near each other since a lot of buttons are on space. Makes it difficult to interact with what your trying interact with. A key to cycle through interactables near you would have been a good solution which has been done a few games ive played.
Splatty I love you, but you totally missed the point of the game... You were supposed to let the monkeys work for you. When your character said "I'm bored I should my monkey do this." that was the game telling you to let the monkey do the work instead of standing around.
1:20 needing to hold down the OK button to close a dialog is annoying af. Why would devs do something like that? It's literally the one thing keeping me from buying this game.
They felt the need to really make you read the tutorial or you might miss the fact that monkeys are the core mechanic like splatter demonstrated quite nicely.
Curious what you're referring to. Pretty sure they went with Survivalists as sort of a follow up to Escapists. I look at it almost like after escaping a prison by raft, you end up washing up on an island somewhere.

So it's all monkeys?
@@PathOfDamn yep, that's why it's good to have an army of monkeys.

"Autocraft"
Made me hope he didn't see it so his heart wouldn't be broken.
I’m learning real survival tip from a youtube gamer. Instant subscribed.
Splatty has a degree in geology and has spent time in the field. He actually knows what he's talking about
You heard it from Uncle Splatty kids, remember to hit it from the back!
O.o
If you could see it from the front, wait til you see it from the back...
"That IS the best way to hit it." Hahaha you had me cracking up.
Plays a game where monkey minions are a key mechanic...refuses to use monkeys.
The monkeys were very broken in the past, and still kinda broken and don't do a lot of things you tell them too and get bugged when they try to fight.
@@DragonReaver You call that broken. I call it immersive.
That's absolutely the kind of game I might enjoy, I also thoroughly enjoyed this video, thanks for the time and efforts you put into it Splatt' ! too many cool games these days and I would miss so many without you, keep it up.
Very strong Forager vibes, i like this...
"The power of my cleavage" too funny
Yup...
Splatter: That wood be pretty cool....I'd be on board with that.
I gotchu splatty, i gotchu lol.
I got that mapquest joke, it was very much enjoyed lol.
inventory management is often a core game mechanic in survival games, which are your favorite, but you hate inventory management
Waits for Splatty to realise he can give Chests to monkeys
There is autocrafting Splat. Use the Monkees 99% of the game revolves around monkeys. Also you're running into inventory space because you're trying to do everything. For Auto anything - MONKEYS.
I just learned that you can give a crate to your monkey, so they will carry it as your "extended" inventory.
Hi Splatt awesome video. I'd love it if you turned this into a series. Have a nice weekend!
'The power of my cleavage' Never better words said. Awesome vid again splat
You had ropes up in the front. It didn't auto craft, at least in that situation 10:48
Not splat completely ignoring the main mechanic of the game!
31:53 Did anyone notice that he didn't take the telescope from the reward box after trading it with 3 ropes?
Monkeys won't do fighting or any jobs till you teach them
Oh, Gods. MapQuest. 50% chance your printed out directions gets you to your destination, but it's already far too late when you notice.
To be fair splattercat map quest was the thing till the new and improved Google maps appeared, however as a classic millennial from the 80s our boomer status is ensured, back when i was a kid all computer games were ran in dos.

Mapquest: the original route finder before the monopoly that is Google killed it off.

Great Video made me get the game lol
I moved my mouse over an item he had in his hotbar to see what it was......in a video. I'm that kind of stupid.

So is this a souls-like crafting survival game? I mean, it has a stamina bar that runs out in 3 seconds!
looks like don't starve and I like those games.
It's actually more like factorio but with monkeys instead of conveyor belts, it's just for some reason he did not show the main feature of the game
@@fatalfury66 ah, thanks. seems interesting.
For some reason I really miss in this game some kind of roof and weather conditions - this camp feels lacklustre.
What's up with his fascination with bandanas
is this available on android phone now?
2:50 - 2:55
Is this coming to console?
Whats the release date for this?
Oct 9th according to Steam, so about 24 hours from right now?
If it were me I would have intended for the player to craft something to create an "auto-loot" function.
I was learning spanish until i realized every verb literally has over 100 conjugations.
Yeah, I learned that as well from taking Spanish classes...
You can re name monkeys an there color on menu like how you changed your parents it's right next to it
Forager/Stardew Valley/Factorio? :P
Is there any other similar game but without the monkeys? Like solo survival.
Minecraft doesn't have monkeys
Forager is sorta close and is a pretty good time.
GIVE THE MONKEY THE AXE!!!!!!! If he was a dog you'd give him the Blade. I'm not sticking around for this Anti Simian Propaganda
Mmmm...monke
I would only play this if it was available on Android. Seems too low quality for a pc game.

Not worth the price for lack of content.
Just refunded and don't recommend. (7 hours and did pretty much everything while going slow)
