My only advice- as a musician myself, and the son of a singer who opened (with her trio) for Frank Sinatra 1943/44- is that this gift not be distracted by the fact that she also happens to be supermodel beautiful. It's about the musical gift, which is once a generation (or two or three generations) superb. After listening to this, I went to the Sarah Vaughn- and Sarah, along with Ella, and Billie are as good as there's every been- and I think Angelina's take is better. I did not think that was possible. I pray she keeps centered and starts with original songs (she could probably write them, too) and ease away from covers. She could blow Judy over the Rainbow. Just...a gift beyond words.

Barbara whose roots are musical theater sings to the last seat in the balcony while Angelina with her jazz / blues roots is singing to the couple in front of the stage..I prefer Angelina’s rendition It’s sophistication and artistry is unmatched,,

Hey Keith, after I first saw Angelina sing My Funny Valentine at 10 years old , I had hoped for the same thing as you that she would sing the song again with a more mature voice. My favorite version of the song is by Alice Fredenham who at 28 years old sang the song on Britian's Got Talent and I thought she did an amazing job with the song. But I thought to myself I betcha Angelina could do an incredible version in her 20s or close to the age that Alice Fredenham sung it at. Well this version by Angelina at 16 years old just blew me away and she still has 4 years to go before she hits 20 years old. Angelina Jordan is just so amazing.
The older versions are full of power and Now it looks more controlled like a new horizon with a rising sun ☀️

@@rcollins6046 Yes a few people have said that. I can't help but think the "cuteness factor" of a 10 yo little girl sitting in her house singing to a backing track, makes it more emotional & amazing. But for me, the current version is much preferred. We both agree, both versions are amazing.

Yes, and here is my take that I posted on an earlier upload by RS: Angelina's colossal rendition of "Mercy" removed any doubts as to where she would go with her range of vocalization in the future, and this rendition of "My Funny Valentine," confirms that she has arrived. Although the video was likely produced for another purpose, the maturity of this young lady is beyond our comprehension. She is there!

Yes the only one that comes close to AJ's version for me is the version Alice did on BGT. really good. Shame we dont hear anything from her anymore.
In my not at all humble opinion, AJ is at her best when she sings from the American song Book. I'm waiting 4 her to cover the great countrypolitan Songs--AKA, the Nashville Sound. Examples include Anne Murray, John Denver, ONJ, Kenny Rogers, the Queen of countrypolitan, Crystal Gale, Charlie Pride and their ilk. She has covered 'Crazy' & 'Jolene'.
