I'm not sure if it is possible to convert Gamemaker8 files for Studio2. Studio2 has some features that have changed (especially the collision system), so even if it were possible, a lot of code would need to be rewritten.

If the file you have is a gmk file, you need pro version of Gamemaker 8.0 to modify it
