I found the Streamlight SL-B26 2600mAh 9.62Wh Li-Ion Battery Pack is a nice battery replacement. It has a micr-usb slot built into the battery

That’s a terrific emergency radio. All the features needed and it’s own back up options, topped off with the dog “beacon” really awesome. I have another radio that’s double the size and 1/3 of the features. It was the same price about 5yrs ago. Until I bought one I did not know that the NOAA alerts turned on automatically and let out some tone(s). Yes everyone should have one. Great video. Thanks

Yeah, some of those radios are huge. The NOAH thing made me chuckle. Thanks for watching!

You did an excellent features presentation on this emergecy radio. Glad it helped you find Scooby. We bought one several months ago because of all those features. It is still packed away in our preps. I placed it inside a Faraday box in case of an EMP knocking out the power grid. This was a great vid. 👍

I’ve had two of these. Th old one had an adjustable antenna so you could tune the station without moving the whole machine which came in handy in the mountains where I need to find really weird angles to catch a signal. The new one has one that just pulls out.

Thank you! I was a little skeptical of the dog whistle at first, but you actually can tell that it is working if you hold it close to your ear. I wouldn’t recommend doing it for too long though since it is really high-pitched.

I *like* that! As a HAM radio operator, of course I have tons of different radios, but none so handy and simple for someone else in the family to use. Thank you!! 73 de VE3GUN

I’ve been pretty happy with mine. Like I said in the video, my main gripe is that you can’t program it for multiple stations. Other than that, it does pretty much everything you could ask for.

Thank you for the review. Looking for a radio for the bug out bag and this looks to fill the bill. Small footprint and feature rich. Be a nice addition to GMRS and Ham, we have a lot of radio reception bad areas around here. 73s WRFF306/N6STB
