The two new events are basically fundraisers for running a horse/animal rescue - they apparently give you money as the goaled reward. I think that’s a fun concept, even if the activities aren’t particularly groundbreaking. But might be fun to see if you could make a living just throwing events.
Depending on how you want to make money, maxing skills, and winning races for horses can make them worth a lot. My horse isn't maxed out yet but he's won a lot of races and he's worth 16,000. Also, not sure when it happens but eventually that horse will get a trait that basically makes their foals easier to train and worth more when you sell them
I’ve never played the sims 4 so when I get this dlc it’ll be a completely new game for me so do I have to start in the normal sims 4 world and then transition to this world? Or can I start a brand new game in this world?

they did already add it as you have to put the jumps in the same line to go over three and move ur jumps to a angle to make them do lots of courses

You can start in any world you want. And move as much as you can afford
