A very splendid and lively piece - Herz was truly a fantastic and clever musician! Not forgetting to mention the Wild pianistic skills of Earl himself (pun intended). Thanks for sharing this :)
Thank you for upolading this. I'm glad this music is being recorded, even more so by a fantastic virtuoso pianist. It's great to be able to listen to what music the aristocracy actually listened to and enjoyed back then... Herz was one of the most famous virtuosos of his time. R. Schumann made a lot of fun of him in his writings. Sorry for my poor English.
I discovered this pianist while reading oblomov by Ivan gonchrov both the music and book are wonderful I want to dance. The music is pretty well done to who is playing this ,
Not a big fan of his music, but this piece is quite well-made in comparison of his other transcriptions I'm aware of. The performance is also nicely done!
@@Whatever_Happy_People And this was H's intention. He was also an industrialist, owned a piano factory so I suspect his compositions were meant as a form of advertisement.
the Polish composer got along with Herz - in April 1833 he took part in his concert, performing pieces for four pianos together with the Herz brothers and Liszt.

Alkan's 35 4 in the beginning?
Herz became very little as pianist + composer when Liszt/Chopin came on the scene
What an intellectually challenged response ! - and full of envy !!! Which will do nothing to develop you as a human charakterwise .

@@marinapegrisch1305 As a composer myself I'm envy about Chopin/Liszt - why is Herz and I so small, a small point in a big universe.
@@MartinFrank1950 If we can travel in time, I will be part in the concert for five pianos.
