When you race in the rain you should use lean revs in the corners instead of rich or medium so you don’t drift so much, because every corner you come out you drift so next time when you race in the rain you should keep the car in lean revs because it won’t accelerate so fast helping you not to drift. If you use lean revs most of the time you won’t need as much gas so you can defuel the car making you even faster. Hoped this helps you trev. Hey Trev, I would recommend going for Esteban Ocon for your next driver. He has good pace and excellent racecraft and awareness which really helps with overtaking. He isn’t too expensive and is one of the cheaper drivers. He also doesn’t really have any requirements for your team, just that you have his acclaim level.

RICH on straights, LEAN on slow sections. RICH gives you more power but less traction. If you use it all the time overheats engine, makes you slower. LEAN gives you more traction less power. If you use to much, having too much fuel slows you down.

Trev, the ERS wasn’t faulty. You can only use a certain amount of energy every lap. As soon as you have used it the red x appears and when you cross the line you start with full energy for that lap again. So you need to use it wisely for it to be helpful

About the ERS turning off... if you check the green bar under the overtake sign that’s the limit you can deploy per lap, and the white bar on the right is the limit you can recover per lap... you were in the rain so that play with the battery was good... the rain changes your set up completly you need more downforce and change the differential (so the wheels can withstand the diferent spin ratios on turns) and the brake balance to the front...also rain makes your braking point so early
I would love to have this as daily series. Same with NASCAR Heat too! BTW I feel like when that red x appears on the ERS, it just doesn’t allow you to see how much battery you have. This is the main thing you have to manage with ERS and figure out in practice where you can use it to not run out. Try to be consistant and use it at the same places each lap, so straights for example. If you want to go for an overtake you use it but might have to compromise and not use it as much on the next straight for example. Hope this helps.
The reason for the red X on the ERS is that you only get so much to deploy on a single lap and that is saying that you used up your deployment for the lap and it goes away for the rest of the lap if you use it
Trev remember that staying behind a car during overtakes makes you faster but once you hit a corner and your behind someone you lose like 50% downforce from dirty air so remember to stay away them their exhausts on turns or you’ll spin
