What about gyeongseong creature? That was a highly anticipated drama for Netflix last year. I thought the ratings would have done good to be in the top ten. I am still floored Bugasal Immortal Souls doesn't ever seem to do well. It's an amazing Netflix k drama. An immortal monster who hunts down monsters. The costume and effects of these monsters are extremely well done and puts The Witcher to shame.
Your videos are more than just recommendations; they're a delightful experience. I eagerly await each one, captivated by your soothing voice, engaging narration, and beautiful music.🤩😍
I'm beginning to believe there was a "classic" period of k-dramas, which have endured the test of time as being uniquely wonderful though they are not on this list. Such as Secret Garden, Empress Ki, My Love From the Star, Healer, Legend of the Blue Sea, Yong Pal, etc.
I watched Secret Garden, and though it was good enough to finish, it was more like a fascinating hate-watch. The male lead was just about the most vile and disgusting person imaginable. The only person more awful than him was his mother. He was a an emotionally, verbally, and physically abusive stalker. Even years after they ended up marrying and having multiple kids, he allowed his mother access to their kids. A woman who seemingly STILL refused to have a relationship to her grandchildren’s mother. For a “classic” drama from the same period, I would recommend Coffee Prince. It is far better, and won’t leave you with abad taste in your mouth. And if you are the kind of person who believes the misogynistic behavior exhibited by the male lead is acceptable from a prospective husband, and that allowing your kids to have any familial relationship with such a toxic grandmother, or indeed not cutting her out of your life completely, then have deeply flawed morals.
@@fordhouse8b Everyone has different, subjective taste. IMO, the level of cinematography, OST music, sets, and A list actors was a step up from previous k-dramas. Both of the lead characters were very strong in their own way, and she gave him as much sh.. as she got, so the tension between them was more interesting than the usual rich guy/poor girl trope. The story of the second leads was also excellent. The mixture of fantasy and reality added a dimension, as did their family connection disclosed near the end. As you saw, eventually he became a good husband and father, and chose his wife over his mother. In effect, she was the stronger person and tamed him. Apparently cutting off contact with family members of which you disapprove is all the rage these days in certain circles, but cutting off his own mother, difficult as she was, is not my idea of virtue. If you only like dramas in which the lead characters are pure as the driven snow, and there is no tension between them, then you have a limited selection to choose from. As for Coffee Prince, I found it enjoyable, but not particularly novel or groundbreaking - it was like a lot of other average k-dramas.
@@nickjohnson811 It is not about cutting contact with family who you disapprove of, it is cutting contact with a mother who for many years has refused to accept her daughter-in-law. hi MOTHER is the person who not only has cut contact with, but refused to establish contact with his wife. His wife is his mother’s family, that is what in-law means, you become family. He is allowing a person who openly displays the utmost disrespect for his wife to have influence over their children. And this open contempt is for a person whose father gave his life to save her son. Just like telling your kid to go to their room, and to stay there until they are ready to behave like a decent human being, is perfectly acceptable, so is saying essentially the same thing to your mother. As of her giving as good as she got, really?!? Did she ever call him dark-skinned (in an obviously disparaging way? Did she ever call him ugly? Did she ever berate him for not owning a handbag that would be out of his financial means to purchase? Did she ever stalk him, grab him against his will and physically drag him along? Did she ever break into the room he was sleeping in and sexually assault her? And yes, breaking into a persons bedroom and pinning her to the bed for the night absolutely is sexual assault. Stalking, repeated unwanted touching, and restricting a person’s freedom of movement, are all actions for which the perpetrator ought to be imprisoned. I do agree about the second leads. If it wasn’t for his cousin (Osca?) providing some relief from the main plot, the show would have been insufferable, even with the good acting and production values. The actress who portrayed his mother sure did a great job playing a real piece of sh.t. Please feel free to address my points one by one.

Acting in CLOY can not get close to many other names such as Alchemy of Souls, Daily dose etc. Big 👎

Ratings? Obviously, not the best programs. "My Dearest" will be on Netflix soon, so be prepared. It's the best series I've ever seen from anywhere on the planet. Had it been a series of movies, Oscar worthy. Especially for the leads. Ahn Eun-jin and Min Nam-koong are amazing. You forget they're actors, as if you're just looking into their lives.
That would be amazing! Romantic comedies always add so much joy to the mix. A 2024 collection could highlight some hidden gems alongside popular hits. Do you have any under-the-radar favorites you’d suggest adding to the list?
It's a pity. There's HUGE character development in that series by all three main characters and the actors do it masterfully. Her behavior is explained later on and the character fights hard to change and her harshness becomes vulnerability. I think it's one of the best dramas out there. Slow as korean dramas usually, darker than KimSoo Hyun's rom-coms usually, it deals with heavy issues after all.
@richardkovacs2006 - exactly the way I felt about the characters, and so well said. The ending was actually heartwarming (and the "family" photo was one of my favorite scenes).
You should truely add true beauty It's best romantic comedy I swear I laughed out of my lungs ,everyone was sleeping and my mom almost beated me to laugh like a crazy punk at night I am in love
This list should’ve included all 2016-2024 series because of Goblin. Come on guys, no list of Netflix best kdramas or best kseries in general can be taken seriously without Goblin imo of course 😉

Crash Landing on you has a 9.0 rating while Queen of Tears only has an 8.8 rating. In fact at least half these titles are under the 9.0 rating.
this is just my guess.. but i think they collect top 20 rating netflix drama.. and then sort it by the air date.. from 2018 to 2024... thats just my guess.. so not about rating.. and not all drama
Since when do ratings matter when evaluating a series. They are likely the least important factor.
The Moving and Twinkling Watermelon deserve the spots
They are not netflix. That's why not on the list
@@saveusgod-d7k ohh i see
Prison Playbook is also a gem.
I see these are not listed; Happiness , Hometown cha cha, live up to your name, marry my husband, familiar wife.
yeah maybe not netflix
A KOREAN ODYSSEY ❤...ALL OF US ARE DEAD ...ALCHEMY OF SOULS ....LOVE
Bloodhounds choreography is on top notch...
Cindrella and four knights my all time favourite. This shld also be included
My Dearest Not Being on The List, makes this List Null and Void!!!
I get it. Especially when trash like Squid Games is on the list.
MR. SUNSHINE WAS THE BEST from Southern California USA
Are you for real? Crash Landing on You not 2nd from bottom..but 2nd from top or at top.
There is no way Vincenzo, its okay not to be okay, Queen of Tears etc. were even close enough to the genius of CLOY.
Vast non-K majority have started watching K drama due to CLOY.
Acting in CLOY can not get close to many other names such as Alchemy of Souls, Daily dose etc.
Big 👎
How did My Mister not make the list???
I started watching K-drama in April 2024.I love detective and military dramas and i have watched over 50 Kdramas andall i can say is that no korean drama is bad
No 1 . Will forever be It's ok to not be ok
No 2. Crash landing on you
No 3. Bride of Haebok, I am not a robot, all of us are dead, Happiness
No 4. See you in my 19 th life
when the phone rings about to break everything
Not with that ending
so so many King the land, Delsola luna, mystic pop up bar come to mind, Beauty within gosh so many good ones
I am a big fan of K dramas
Twinkling Watermelon had a 9.2 Should have been #1. And it was one of the top 5 KDrama I have ever seen.
I’m shocked My Demon didn’t make the list!
Where are my love from another star, the legends of the blue sea, descendants of the sun, goblin, king the eternal monarch?? These are some top above 8 imdb rating k dramas..a must watch & to be included in the list!!
What about “My Demon”? That was highly rated. Lovely Runner isn’t on Netflix in the states. “My Demon” was one of the popular K drama on Netflix rated 8.2/10 and scored 39.2 million viewed hours and top the list for 8 weeks so this video is inaccurate
Her dramas are always international hits. Korea always leaves her dramas out of the running. .
Kim Yoo Jung best Korean actress ever. 💐💝
Not according to this and The Demon wasn’t as good as the Lovely Runner
Missing Sweet Home, Law School, The King’s Affection and Alchemy of Souls season 2…
No mention of;
Mouse
Flower of evil
Vagabond
Worst of evil
Arthdal chronicles
Goblin
Am I only one that thinks that Queen of tears and Alchemy of souls was not that great??
I did not finish queen of tears, i liked it but was drawn out
you are not the only one
BUT
you are in minority section
King the Land and oh my Venus
Alcamy of souls ❤❤❤
What of true beauty, hotel de luna and family by choice
So glad Lovely Runner is no.1
this is just my guess.. but i think they collect top 20 rating netflix drama from mydramalist.. and then sort it by the air date.. from 2018 to 2024... thats just my guess.. so not about rating.. and not all drama..
How does anyone like the glory... i couldn’t take it after 5 episodes, it was so boring
Exactly
Extracurricular is very underrated..definitely better than all of these shows. Needs more recognition.
In which country Lovely Runner is on Netflix?
I've watch 12 😊 8 more to go 🎉🎉
I really want my drama list channel to create 2024 top romantic comedy romance collection with best plot and stories
That would be amazing! Romantic comedies always add so much joy to the mix. A 2024 collection could highlight some hidden gems alongside popular hits. Do you have any under-the-radar favorites you’d suggest adding to the list?
@@DramaDiveAsia why not whoever will see never gonna feel time wastage
I watched my demon
True beauty
Queen of tears
Love next door
Family by choice
King the Land
Fact is that i watched all 20😂😂
Damnnn 😂 thats cool im close but i disent watched all 20
Mr Sunshine was the first K-Drama I watched. And I was hooked. But it should be way higher on your list.
Absolutely! For me, it’s the best K-Drama I ever watched. Just absolutely an incredible masterpiece. Hooked forever in the vacation with Eugene…😢
I’ve watched a few dramas but not that the order is way off, but many dramas don’t deserve to be in the list.
The FL in It OK not to be OK was so rude with an unbecoming attitude that it prevented me from going beyond episode 1
@td202020 You really should go back and give this one a chance. I think you'll be glad you did.
Lovely Runner is on Viki not Netflix
Of all time? And no Goblin and My Mister?
Where is My secret romance?
Our Beloved Summer
You should truely add true beauty
It's best romantic comedy
I swear I laughed out of my lungs ,everyone was sleeping and my mom almost beated me to laugh like a crazy punk at night I am in love
Was that on Netflix
@6468May yes it is , also on bili drama cool and daily motion
Okey dorky oh it is soooooo true.
I am surprised “My Demon” was not included on this list? ☮️
This list should’ve included all 2016-2024 series because of Goblin. Come on guys, no list of Netflix best kdramas or best kseries in general can be taken seriously without Goblin imo of course 😉
