Thank you for your comment. Japanese love cherry blossoms. The scenes of cherry blossoms blooming are connected to people’s various memories of their lives. And also they feel presence of GOD in old cherry trees.
Last year I saw the Jindaisakura and Neodanisakura and I was very fortunate today, April 3 2023, to visit Fukushima and see the MiharuTakisakura. It was in full bloom and it was a perfect Spring day. All three trees are beyond this world and truly wonderful to experience but I would have to say that the Miharutakisakura is the most astonishing of the three and easily the most beautiful cherry tree I have ever seen.
Yutaka Nagai San, these are truly amazing trees. The size and age must be due the care and attention given to these trees by dedicated gardeners. It is wonderful to see how much effort has been put into keeping these trees alive.
Peter James San, Thank you for your thoughtful comment as always. The age of these trees are estimated as 1,000, 2000 and 1,500 years each. The lifespan of human beings is about 100 years at most. So, the life of these trees is more than tenfold. It is amazing! Of course, many people dedicated to extend their lives when they had difficult times. When you see these trees are blooming you feel divine beauty.

あっという間に正月三が日も終わり、月半ばですね。年末年始は、バタバタしていると本当にあっという間に過ぎてしまいます。
昨年岐阜の薄墨桜の撮影に出かけ、それまでに撮影していた三春の滝桜と山高神代桜と合わせて日本の三大桜の映像が揃ったので、年明けにこの特集映像を編集しました。私の懸案事項が一つ片づきました。
これらの桜を見ていると、1000年も2000年も生き続ける植物(樹木)というのは凄いな！と思いますね。人間は高々100年ですからね。これらの木々は、長い間の人間の愚かな振る舞いや生き様をじっと見つめて来たんでしょうね！
