I'm kinda shocked you made the comparison to Emperor's New Groove (which is completely viable) but neglected to mention how ironic is it that Pacha and Sulley are both voiced by John Goodman. Playing the more grounded and compassionate character in both duos. Maybe I'm just a huge fan girl of his but I feel it's important to mention that. ;)

Sonething i remember from this movie, every little thing in this movie is satisfying to watch, the cereal being put in a trail on the floor, Sully looking at the cards, the clink of the scare canisters on the cart things, the snow cone making, everything is so satisfying bro

I can see the similarities with schaffrillas's content and yet, the way you make it feels so original. The only other youtubers that have similar content like this are schaffrillas productions and videogamedunkey, the way how you break-down everything in this video is so well crafted. Monster’s Inc would be in my top 20 movies of all time. Only animated movies I like more are Toy Story 1/3, Shrek, Finding Nemo, and Spider-Verse

I think more people appreciated monsters inc during pixar's earlier days, but now with them coming out with other hits like up, inside out, and coco, it kinda gets swept under the rug. Which is a real shame, because it's probably tied with finding nemo as my personal choice for Best Pixar Movie.

As a person who's favourite animated movie from were they were 2 years old (Im 18 now) is Monsters Inc. this video makes me so happy XD (tho I dont know if its because I grew up with it but the Greek dub of this movie was so much better)

I just rewatched monster’s inc this morning after years since I was a kid and it is genuinely just as amazing as I remember. That shit had me laughing and I was just about to cry in the end. The soundtrack is great and the world and plot are unique. I also really loved the more natural conversations and interactions they had. It’s one of the 4 movies I have given a 10/10
Edit: my ass was tearing up just seeing Sully and Boo have to say good bye😭 but also I don’t know how I didn’t pick up on the message of laughter being stronger than fear. I was just too invested in the story

If we were to compare Monsters Inc. VS Emperor's New Groove, I'd say MI wins hands down.
However...I'd be lying if I said I didn't hold SOME resentment of ENG being of Latino origins that's NOT from Mexico, but Central and South American roots specifically PERUVIAN INCAN roots where Cuzco I'm sorry, KUZCO's origins are from. So people could see this as bias.
Why?
Well, if you read up the development hell ENG went through, it was originally called Kingdom of the Sun, and it was going to be another epic musical masterpiece from Disney and was worked on those who worked on other Disney masterpieces like the Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and Lion King..Knowing that it eventually was going to be more of a bromance comedy film...it's just...kind of depressing.
They omitted out Yzma's song (who is the best character in Emperor's New Groove, come and debate me) Eartha Kitt's song Snuff Out the Light which was an amazing song about the villainess summoning the Incan God of death, Supay.👹
Because of Dreamworks' Mexican film El Dorado, they changed the story in its entirety and made it a buddy buddy comedy. Which I found insulting upon finding out. Aztec is different than Incan ehhhh...maybe just maybe we'll get a Latino representation that ISN'T from Mexico.
I remember hearing a girl complaining about ENG being a "stupid buddy buddy comedy" while on the bus to school, and remember vehemently disagreeing with her only to 20 years later on after finding out its history, now agreeing with her arguments.
Emperor's New Groove is such a stupid movie...
Anyway rant aside though I call it a stupid movie, I DO however love Emperor's New Groove and that's a movie I could actually watch in my head when I'm bored due to its stupid, goofy, and memorable over the top comedy. And the best comedy duo in that film are not Pacha and Kuzco, it's Yzma and Kronk.
Monsters Inc however wins over Emperor's New Groove because it's better written, the characters have better development and are interesting besides being funny, the ending is just so sweet, there's a lot of heart in Monsters Inc.
I'll even go so far to say I think Monsters Inc. was even better than Wall.E

Pixar always does it with their creative ingenuity and the real world, I liked that even though the dean created the scare games, actual students hosted it like in real life. I like how the dean presence was felt not by default by but by the fact the she is a great scarer and the underdogs didn't automatically win just because the movie says so, but showed the reality of losing even though trying extremely hard. I liked the RoR fraternity and their leader where you understand why they are cool and the reputation to be maintained which is why Sullivan got cut. I liked how they made the prequel almost flawlessly transition to monsters inc except for explaining why Randell left the University to work at the incorporation (maybe they did, but I didn't see). All in all I will forever love Pixar due to their creative mindsets , for creating world of monsters inversely to that of the real world with its own structure and schemes.. FLOREAT PIXAR !!!THE BEST TO DO IT
