Nice to see this barlow family. I was lucky to get my second GEC on novembrer, the 77 Yankee Barlow antique bone same as on the right of your table. It's a beautiful not too small, not too long slipjoint. Not perfect centered, but anyway, enough centered to close without hitting the liner. I love the blade shape, but another number with a clipoint would be great to me too, single blade and no acrylic handles hopefully. Another knife to hunt for 😁 They are so hard to snag, i missed a GEC47 viper drop, back from work too late, i was so sad.
Love these Paddy that Northwoods Boonecliffe is amazing... Ive been so lucky Ive paid retail for mine even less i Got a 49 Garnet bone for 90Canadian and a 86 for 190 canadian . Been super lucky actually .

Your #77, by the way, isn't an SFO - Bill made these Northfields as a general release (for the first time). Love your Snakewood!!!
Beautiful Barlows! I've been buying Rough Ryder Barlows lately, but they look so nice that I can't bring myself to EDC them. I've compromised by buying an Old Timer 95OT Large Trapper for EDC. It's going to get scratches and pocket wear and that's just fine. The Trapper came with an Old Timer 12OT Pal. It's a small single blade (Clip Point). Not sure if I'll Carry it or not. Great Video!! Case, Boker, Bear&Son are more my speed. However, I love these GEC knives but as far as I can see they are out of my range. As you say, you have to be on top of your game to get them by trading up. That's a lot of effort.
I don't care for titanium. Gec beats Jack Wolf for materials except for blade steel. But you don't need supersteel for EDC. I would rather spend 190 on a GEC then 300 for Jacks. I have both. I carry GEC more.
