I'm about to read through the book The permanent Revolution. Gonna do a men's study group with this book. I've been convinced of this method of church for a long time. Praise God there's an awakening happening around this scripture. Thanks Alen. God bless
The primary job of each of the 5 Fold is to equip the saints so they can find and fulfill their giftings and callings. And by doing the equipping, the apostles, prophets, evangelists, and pastor-teachers are multiplying themselves. It is not just a matter of teaching but it is imparting an anointing from one person to another. A pastor can teach on evangelism but an evangelist can impart through the laying on of hands an anointing to others. Only Jesus contained all 5 giftings so it is imperative for the pastor to recognize his limitations and find through prayer the other ministries so that the whole council of God is being delivered to his church.
What does imparting an anointing from one person to another actually mean? What or Who is being imparted? We need good teaching to sort out these ideas, and there is a warning about not laying hands hastily. What is the whole council of God being delivered to his church? Obviously the bible is not enough. My experience with ppl who "hear form God" directly, it that is often plain they don't, and it is used to set them apart, and it gives them an air of authority as no-one wants to go against what God said. It is like a 2 tier Christianity - those in the God zone and those who want to be. Sometimes those who hear from God directly are delusional, often with great intentions and with ear tickling/soothing/encouraging words. It's a space where truth and reality can be casualties.
Hi Gregory, thanks for your message. I don't have official manuscripts but I have one that is generated via AI - I'm happy to send, simply email me through my website contact form and I can send it to you. Contact form is found at richmartin.co.uk Hope that helps. Rich
What Alan is teaching is not clear... And I think, as I wrote a book on this topic to, about the 5 fold ministry and other ministries to, because there are not just 5 ministries. His explanation is in part very interesting, and has much of truth, but is not quite right. In fact it has to be a hierarchy in the body of Christ. God never created a man with two heads... Hierarchy just means a "divine order of government". The Kingdom is not democracy, but kingship through a hierarchy..in the kingdom of God theres a hierarchy, even the devil has it. Since the institusion of the nation of Israel in mount sinai, and his tribes, there was always a sistem that God used o hierarchy in lidership. The same hapends in the institucion of the early church of the New Covenant. So this message substracts power and autority to the ecclesiastical order. The apostle was always the chief comanders over churches and regions... The pastors, that are really the elders, if you study the case, were in charge internaly of the congregation...and so on with the other ministry... This are ministry for inside the church..."God hath set some in the "church", first apostles, secondarily prophets....." 1 cor 12. 28 In the body of Christ, "for building up the body of Christ". So it is not a matter of personality of functioning in every day life in the outside world, (even though we have our influence there to for sure)but a matter of a supernatural gift, to edify the body of Christ, which is the church.
Except, we are all the same in the new testament under God. No one not Jew or gentile rich or poor is above anyone else. We can all come directly to the father through Jesus.
