Mom always used diced oysters in her dressing and it was cornbread...the shrimp looks interesting,lotta flavor there.
I also add diced oysters if it’s somewhat affordable

The original recipe calls for about 1-1/2 cups of cornmeal+flour mixture, so you might try enough cornbread from a box to fill about 1-1/2 cups.
Can you tell me where you got the silver bowls you use? They look like strainers but no holes. I really like those.
