Wow. I do understand her anger and frustration, having been made the recipient of lewd and unwanted advances. That being said, I do believe that in THIS case, she crossed the line, becoming a criminal herself. Self defense would not apply. First, She walks up to the guy, entirely of her own volition, pulls out her spray, and, following one comment, sprays the guy in the face. From what I remember from my criminal law classes, that makes HER the initial aggressor. Second, the amount of spray used was wholly disproportionate to any risk she actually faced. (I think she use the whole can.) Third, in the second encounter, she exits the building, sees the guy (before he sees her,) takes SEVERAL moments to make up her mind, and, with an evil smile, walks up with her can of vengeance. She could have availed herself of the "opportunity to flee," and gotten the heck out of there, but did not. Her actions are entirely indicative of her intent. She wanted revenge for the first encounter. Unfortunately, when it comes to justice and revenge, the law respects the former and condemns the latter.
I can see that you are very educated in this subject, and I definitely agree, you should not have to think about it to need to use pepper spray, the only reason you should use it is if you are in imminent harm.

I can relate to this video 100%. Men think they can approach me without thinking that I’m with someone, have a family, and can’t take no for a answer. I get called a bitch or told to fuck off when I don’t respond to messages on my Instagram. I choose not to associate with people over the internet for that very reason. I get cat calls, or looked at when someone drives by. I honestly have not seen any respectful young man my way. Men should be able to take no for a answer instead of making the woman feel bad because you don’t get what you want. No means no.
This is the truest thing I’ve ever watched. I’ve had to carry pepper spray because of creeps. I feel bad because us women get sexualized for anything; including wearing a dress or because of our looks/makeup (if you wear any). I wish that a lot of men would be more respectful instead of treating a woman like a sex object due to what she wears or for the way she looks. We’re human, too & have feelings. It’s not hard to respect women and to not be a creep.
Men and women need to respect each other. Yeah people shouldn't be sexually harassed but it's human nature for men to be sexually attracted to beautiful women and vise versa.

@Life Lessons with Luis, thank you for making this video!! I’m only 20 years old right now, and if I ever try to go on a date with a girl or try to have a conversation with her and if she doesn’t want that or doesn’t want to give me attention, then I will 100% respect of what she wants! And I will learn to back off! It makes me very angry to see guys treat women like this!
I used to be 1 of those dirtbags back in my early 20’s but now I’m 47 years old I’m no longer a dirtbag. It’s not worth it I am in relationship with someone and I hope and pray that things will work out in the future.
Well good for you. You are on the right path. I am sure you will find what you really need in life. Everyone can make a mistake, but if the person truely regrets it, and really wants to fix it, then every mistake is forgivable, even the most sinful mistake. 😊

I get called a bitch or told to fuck off when I don’t respond to messages on my Instagram. I choose not to associate with people over the internet for that very reason.
