struggled with meal planning at 53, seeking a balance. Not an ad, but Aspect Health shaped my journey. The creator's video resonates; her day mirrors my quest for consistent protein intake. Facing similar challenges, finding inspiration in shared experiences.

I agree with your dietician - simplify it! For example, for the dinner, I would make a whole Kevin’s tray, add in 1/2c rice and 1c veg and stir the whole thing together and eat. Get 2 trays of it for dinners instead of sharing since you had so many calories and protein left. Once you find a meal you like, save that whole meal in your tracker and repeat it. For lunches, track meals for the places you usually eat with your dad and save them so you can repeat them without having to track individual ingredients all the time. Get the 20g protein yogurts instead of the 12g. Also, instead of snacking on the bites that you didn’t like anyway, drink that shake you skipped in the morning. Dana Lynn Bailey just posted a meal prep video for how to make your lunches and dinners that’s good. I think you need to commit to 4 weeks in a row of consistent meals and see the progress you will make. As for TH-cam, you will get more views by showing good progress than showing different meals without making progress, in my opinion. ❤

I enjoy iced coffee in hot weather, but I drink hot coffee EVERYDAY regardless.
I put a RTD protein (ready to drink, Fairlife) in every cup of hot coffee. It has been "cream and sugar" for years now.
I also have just started adding protein powder to my cottage cheese and yogurt. I never hit my protein goal. It's SO hard.

I do not know if you can have it, but a couple of tablespoons of French Salad dressing over cauliflower is a game changer! My father always had the most beautiful plates of food. My mother would cook and my father would take what she fixed and add fresh vegetables in different ways. He might have some sliced raw turnips sprinkled with little S&P, cucumbers & sliced tomatoes seasoned the same way, boiled cauliflower drizzled with French Dressing, pickled beets, a pear half with a small dollop of mayo topped with a small sprinkling of sharp cheddar cheese on some lettuce for his salad along with a small serving of whatever my mother cooked. Dessert was always some fruit with a scoop of ice cream if we had it, and snack was mostly popcorn. He and I would walk 2 miles in 30 minutes everyday. I really miss my walking partner! 😢 we always put our tomatoes, cucumbers and some type of sweet onion together and poured vinegar over it for a salad…we did this before vinegar was all the thing. Lol Though my mother was from LA, she did cook some healthy meals too😂 but of course we loved the great cooking that was handed down from many generations! 😊 A friend of mine, my son and I would walk three days out of the week at the park. I would brink a picnic lunch for everyone that consisted of different flavors of tuna in a packet ( had its own plastic spoon) few crackers, bottled water and a piece of fruit. I dropped fifteen pounds in two months. I lifted weights two days out of the week. I quit coffee and added in green tea instead. Treated myself to a piece of dark chocolate if had the craving. Little things or changes helped me. If you go with Morgan to play golf is great exercise if you walk the course, and will get your steps in while spending time with him. Just no alcohol…will destroy all of your hard work!

I make the same egg bake or egg bites every week for breakfast and chicken salad for lunch so that it keeps me on track! Definitely don't worry about having to make new content for TH-cam; do what's best for you and your videos will be fun no matter what! Also, I went back and forth about that orange chicken at Costco and ended up not buying it. I'm glad because it doesn't sound like it would be for me, taste or texture wise, haha.

I make scrambled eggs and mix and cottage cheese to add extra protein and it makes a nice and creamy. I also drink hot coffee and I use the protein shake as the creamer. I don’t use a whole shake for each cup, but however, much creaminess I like to have, this is great, your coach has some great ideas.

Great video! I too started working with a RD and will be having my 2nd call next week. This was helpful to see what I could expect it to go like. I liked her idea about the same meals but switching up the flavor profiles like protein choices and sauces/dressing etc. I would still watch if you ate the same things. Shows consistency. I HAVE to have hot coffee in the mornings. I do like she suggested and put 1/3 - 1/2 a RTD shake in my coffee. I have fun with the combos. Currently loving the chocolate mint Premier Protein. I'm not sure if this takes away nutrients or whatever...but I do heat it up in the microwave for about 30 secs. I'm sure someone will chime in. I don't always drink my coffee before it gets cold so this helps keep it hot/warm longer.

I am 8 months post bariatric surgery and eat like you except not as much, yet. Very protein forward, liquid heavy, and healthy carbs as a 2nd thought. I have some tips for you. I think you are struggling because you are trying to figure out your lunch and breakfast in two minutes, in the morning before leaving for work, while you are rushed and havent really thought about it. You should never walk out of your door without your water bottle, an extra protein shake and some high protein food. Having said that, either try doing your whole week of lunches on Sunday night or at least making your lunch for the next day the night before. You can repeat stuff, but youre going to get sick of it all really quick if you eat the same stuff every day. So, try making your chicken tenders and a side veggie and for 2 add sugar free Rays BBQ and the other 3 do buffalo and ranch. Make two into wraps and the other 3 into salads. And I know you think that the frozen stuff should be easier, but honestly, you could have bought 2 boneless chicken breasts/thighs cut it up into bite sized pieces and fried it up in the same pan you used, added some sf orange marmalade jam, soy sauce and a tiny shake of cayenne pepper and it would have been to die for and half the cost. If you had bought 4 of them you would have had dinner for another night too. I always cook double and eat twice. Last tip: heat up the chocolate Fairlife in the microwave for a minute, in a mug, add the tiniest squirt or dollop of sf/ff or lite whipped topping. OMG you can thank me later! Also, the other Fairlife shakes have 30 mg of protein in them for 1/4 less liquid to get down. You can get them at Sams or Costco, and most Walmarts.

I don't personally love collagen protein in my coffee but that could work for your hot coffee

I have tried it before and liked it but the big debate on whether collagen counts toward protein goal was stressing me out😂

I didn't know that was a debate. Interesting

So Thomas DeLauer just did a video on this very debate. Basically said it was almost as good as whey

I add protein shakes into my hot coffee, and it's not so bad! My best tips are to not refrigerate them, only use about half max at a time, and to use an insulated mug. 🙂

Okay that’s a great tip!! I think I was worried that I’d need a lot for it to flavor the coffee and then it wouldn’t taste like coffee or it would be cold but I can just heat it up I assume, lol!! Excited to try it!

Why not just drink the protein shake by itself?

I definitely do sometimes! We were just talking coffee 😏

I thought this would be some good content. But the video started out with you not measuring out what you were putting in your coffee. You can’t truly know what your putting into your body if you don’t measure it…

Obviously you haven’t watched any of her content she measures everything 99% of the time soooo maybe get some background info before running your mouth.

You are fabulous! But, why are your under eyes so dark? Stress? See your doctor please! You are too young to look like that...I hope you are ok!!!

Does your insurance cover all of it? I have Blue Cross Blue Shield. Also, where did you get your step tracker? And was that it connected to your shoe when you were walking? I really need to up my steps and like you said 30 minutes here and there. I sit down most of the time at work and I don’t even get probably 3000 in a day and I really need to do better
