I have dry skin and to me personally these two products are soooo different on my skin :o The IT cosmetics one definitely wears better on me because it's much more hydrating. The elf one dries quicker and at the end of the day i can see flakes around my mouth and nose. So for dry skin peeps, I think you would enjoy the IT one more :)

I feel like the IT cosmetics was maybe a bit more matte of a finish? Unless that's just the lighting. I'm so here for what ELF has been doing👏👏
IT has an illuminating version of the CC foundation.
I noticed that too, but when she did a close up they looked the same to me
It's just the lighting, i have the cc cream the original not the matte version and it's more of a satin finish, definitely not matte.
@@susanstein6604 yeah it has legit glitter I almost bought it from sephira but when I tested it on my skin it was glittery and also they didn't have a shade light enough for me.
The IT is filled with skin irritating fragrant citrus oils, the ELF leaves them out and keeps the good stuff. WOW

Jas can you do a video on highlighters that don’t emphasize texture and don’t have glitter because I have the essence pure nude highlighter and I love it and I can’t go back to highlighter with glitter anymore
Try wet n wild highlight in precious petals if you haven’t already it’s amazing

I haven't been able to find many drugstore highlighters that are as smooth and beautiful as essence, the only other one that is similar but basically the same is the Honest Beauty Baked Highlighter. I reccomend trying cream highlighters they give you the same lit from within glow with no chunky shimmer finish that pure nude has! (Some recs: Revlon Skinlights, L'oreal Lumi Lotion) Essence also came out with a pure nude highlighting palette and it's sadly not the same formula but it's still smooth on the skin and doesn't emphasize texture, and no obvious shimmer I haven't tried it myself but have heard amazing things.
Some other highlighters I like that are a bit more intense but used in small amounts don't enhance too much texture are: Flower Beauty Highlighting Palette and Pixi Glowy Gossamer Duo

The only thing i hate about ELF brushes is that the barrel ends up breaking off.
I always end up putting a dab of hot glue and then they last forever but yes, it is annoying AF
If it makes you feel better I got the it brush in a set years ago and it's broken on me twice...so I didn't get better quality for the price 🤷

I’ve been an “IT girl” for a few years but I wasn’t a fan of the CC stuff. It was so thick and it really didn’t go on very well either. I tried the ELF CC cream and I love it! I’ve been replacing my IT Cosmetics with ELF. Talk about a savings without compromising quality. :)

Yes! Loving my Elf CC Cream and brush! So glad Elf came out with the dual brush. $48 for the IT Cosmetics brush always sounded ridiculous to me. That's why I never bothered to buy it. 😉

I wanted to love the ELF CC cream so bad! But it causes me to break out T_T After some research, Elf CC cream has a chemical sunscreen included while the It Cosmetics CC cream does not, so the chemical sunscreen was causing my acne prone sensitive skin to break out :(

I have a light skin tone with neutral undertones and it’s frustrating that it cosmetics doesn’t have one for my exact shade. However when I looked at elf, I noticed they had one in my exact shade and not only did it apply beautifully but it matched amazingly!

I’m super oily and this ELF cc cream is legit!! I’m a bartender so I’m moving fast pace for 10 hours, I usually blot with powder halfway thru my shift and I didn’t have to with this! I ordered two more 🥳

@@paulamae1983 I completely agree. The undertone descriptions are definitely messed up. I got the lightest shade and I can’t remember what the website said the undertone was supposed to be, but it’s a more pinky neutral. I have neutral to pink undertones naturally, and this cc cream is a dead perfect match 👌🏻 idk if that helps you any 😂 they just need to bring it in stores

I have heard so much about this new cc cream by elf, and I love that it is a more affordable option to the IT cosmetics one. My only thought is what this will be like on oily skin or combo skin. I really like the idea of a lighter product for everyday, and the sunscreen is a great plus, just wondering how it will work with my skin type. I guess I will have to check it out and see, because I do love the price of this product. Also, Happy Holidays, and Happy almost New Year!

I tried ELF one and it’s so thick and cakey. It shows all my pores and wrinkles.
I even put on moisturizer and primer before using the product too.
I was waiting for You to do this, because you turned me on to elf and I love iT cosmetics. The cc cream has been a go-to for a couple of years. Now that you have spoken i know what the smart budget friendly choice is.
I love the It Cosmetics CC cream, so I’m excited to try the Elf one. The It Cosmetics version does tend to oxidize on me - have you noticed any of that with the Elf version?
I personally love the elf one so much better than the itcosmetics. The elf one didn’t break me out and the itcosmetics one always made end up with huge cystic acne. In my opinion the elf one has more coverage and it’s more long lasting. The itcosmetics one always wore off on me by the end of the day and what I hated the most about it was the white cast it left and that none of their colors matched me that great . Elf is just really brining it with their products that camo hydrating concealer is amazing too!

My skin is more on the oily/ normal side, and it cosmetics gives me such a dewy finish without pointing out any blemishes. It cosmetics definitely has more coverage and is great for converting blemishes and redness. I loooove it.
That It Cosmetics brush was my go to for applications on customers. That brush sold the makeup better than I could...it was 2016 and I had no idea what I was doing 😅😅 SO EXCITED to try the elf dupe for it!

The Elf one is actually such a great dupe and very very similar..I do like the IT cosmetics one better and I didn’t want too lol! IT has a great scent and it is more skin but better to me. Light but flawless

Make up looked really great. I still liked the E.L.F. Product, it gave you a much better coverage and it looked much natural on you. It didn’t look heavy, it is something I would definitely try out. I’ve tried the IT Cosmetics and I could not get it to work naturally, every time I’ve tried it. I may need to mix two products to get what I need to make it look naturally. But, thanks in testing these products out.

I got my iT Cosmetics foundation brush on sale right around Christmas time. If you watch out for the sales, the price doesn’t sting as bad. Elf though... they are slaying it.

The it heavenly luxe foundation brush is my fave foundation brush ever! And it way less expensive on the qvc website in a bundle deal. All of the it brushes are. At least then you get a blush or full size cc cream for just the price of the brush alone. 2 for 1. I also love the elf ultimate blending foundation brush so I’m excited to try their version!

I have both and I’ve never thought the It cosmetics was worth it. It settles in my fine lines and can separate if you’re in the sun/sweating. It also smells like sunscreen which grosses me out. The Elf one doesn’t smell and has a much smoother consistency. I think it has a beautiful finish and is much much better for a girl on a budget!!
