Thats crazy man, i swear yesterday a lady ordered 15 quart samples, paid nearly $200, i can see why people have a hard time deciding what color to get, its hard to visualize it. I will give this 3tier advice to future buyers 👍
Bought paint from Sherwin Williams recently to repaint the house. Definitely had to go through all 3 tiers to get my wife to find the one she liked best. But hey, cheaper to get a quart or two of sample paint than repainting.
Oh!!! What was the name of the TEAL color and what company makes it that you painted the wall right after you painted the purple in the wall. It is beautiful! I’m trying to pick a color for my living room. Would love to know this info. Thanks!
So that Teal was a color grade done in the editing process. You might like Lagoon from Sherwin Williams. That’s a great color that’s similar to what you saw on screen.
Am waiting for some SW chips, to help choose a deeper majenta ish plum color, deeper than the purple you used. Unfortunately so far, am liking a color in a Behr chip, but there half pint sample didn't match it. Liking colors for a different brand, but wanting to use SW Emerald matte. Do you recommend SW trying to match a different manufacturers color? Or recommend SW custom mix a paint to say a slightly more red tone or use more black to deepen a color? Will need 2 gallons, so they both will be mixed, but they must be close. Too expensive to not like, before purchasing. Help, tired of buying samples!
Most Sherwin Williams store will have Behr’s colors on file. Bring the swatch that you have of the Behr color and have the SW employee put a dab on the swatch once they mix the color in Emerald Matte. Most SW stores do a good job making sure the matches are accurate.
I hate picking colors. for our great room, we went thru 100's of chips, would narrow it down to 2 or 3, go get samples, paint them up on the wall, stare at them and go "nope, hate them both" and start all over again. SEVEN TIMES we did this. (it took weeks) The result was worth it, IMO it's the best paint color we've picked and people comment on it. Then we were trying to pick colors for a very art deco style bathroom, had 100's of chips there, etc, A lady came over from church walked into the bathroom, looked around, crawled thru the pile of chips, picked out 2 colors and said "paint this wall this color and paint this wall this color". It came out unbelievably good. I would never have picked those colors. It took her maybe 5 minutes. I hate her and wish she had not moved. 🙂 currently doing it again for hallways (ugh, there are never videos on hallways/stairways BTW). and the little sheets you can buy before samples are a game changer. Some sheets look exactly the same, then you change locations/light and realize they are completely different. I expect we'll have a color picked by January or so (it's sept).
No, no, no, Jeremy. You got this all wrong. I'm expecting YOU to decide for me so I can blame YOU for your lack of taste and horrible choice you've made to paint MY house. /s

My favorite neutral color is SW agreeable grey. It’s so easy to change the look of the color by the decor imo.
That’s still the #1 color from Sherwin Williams. We use it quite often 👍
@@SuperVassarBrothers awesome! One of my clients had it at her rental home and after using the brand, I never switched.

For sure. It’s worth it to get it right before doing all the hard work 🫡
I painted my garage walls. How long should I wait before hanging things back on the wall ? I used emerald matte latex
Give it at least 24 hours before putting things back up

Good tips Sir 👍
I’m glad you found them useful! Thanks for watching!
Would you recommend color matching at Home Depot?
They can do a decent job depending on who’s working the counter.

That seams to be the general strategy. It wouldn’t be an issue if people just let me tell them what they should like 😏
