Nice introduction to kit building. Before you were born there was a company called Heathkit. They had great kits from radios, computers, robots and such, sadly they aren't around anymore
Thanks! I love DIY kits :) I think within few years they will come back and there will be more and more companies creating those! People want to repair their stuff but they don't know how to do this these days, thats partially because of companies that protect their products from repairing but also because of people that simple don't know how stuff works. From what my dad told me, years ago most of people knew basics of electronics, they were even teaching it at school, mainly because buying some things in shop was impossible (in Poland) so they had to DIY it. I think people should know how this stuff works, everyone has millions of transistors in a pocket and most of the people don't know how a single one works. Thank for comment!
I am in the process of testing and cleaning my Heathkit Hero 2000 robot that I bought 31 years ago. So far so good. The battery has kicked the bucket, but the robot itself is still working perfectly. So all the work has been focused upon turning the yellowed plastic parts back to their original color. imgur.com/a/sLahvr1 In this picture you can see just how much difference there is when comparing a de-yellowed section with one that has yet to be de-yellowed. I am thinking of selling Hero.
@@nikodembartnik great video man, I really hope that putting priorities and being able to fix your shit is do I need to have a resurgence. It's frustrating to see how many things get thrown away and even more so that a lot of the most common repairs for All Electronics and mechanical things are so simple still even to this day... but that's what TH-cam is great for. Can't wait to build a track vehicle of my own.
Got my start with Gilbert Erector Set ... fortunately they're still around though now it's "Meccano Erector Set" as Meccano took over the company sometime since my childhood, but at least I can still buy them for my kids.
Don't see the instructable for this specific project, however the arm is not part of this kit... did you ever get the arm/cam pan & tilt working and if so did you put up an instructable on it?
Nikodem Bartnik its not very expensive, flysky i6(=40€=transmitter&reciever) Camera (found one for 5€/ you can use any camera) And a video transmitter is around 8€
Where have you been? That robot is NOT for beginners .... To successfully assemble and then program this robot requires a little bit more knowledge than a beginner.... I know because I have four of them.

Looking forward seeing the arm work, or a model that can lift small logs,or other attachments like a small skid steer.
Dude you made me LMAO with the instruction manual comment. :o) Thanks for the chuckle. Is the arm metal and is it strong ?
:D Yes arm is metal and it is strong, I think it is a aluminium
i thought it was a lawn mower

What's the best kit to make something long range and with wheels instead of tread
Lmao he is like 1:25 ten minutes later... 04:24 hahahaha
He was having a seizure. He recalls no gap in time.
Can you please put links of the software and files on google drive or any file sharing service because I can't download it?
Any advice on putting a pcb system in it and sensors so it is aware of surroundings and talks
