I’m 40 now. But I’ve been following rob since like 06’ I believe. Old school curl videos in the basement, Denny supermatches, Giorgi rivalries etc. come a long way, rob. Keep it going my dude
Damn dude!!! What a cool video to be able to see. You were a beast back then, too. Even with just a year of real training. Congrats on the 20 years, brother. You’re an inspiration. Keep it up.
Haha. This is the RVJ i remember. Giant mitt, jacked, tan and lean. Being lean always makes you look bigger, especially if you've got some quality muscle underneath. I think you're about 8 or 10 years older than me. So when i was first getting into Armwrestling as a teenager, you were crashing into the scene, probably in your early to mid-20s. Here we are 2 decades later, bud. I still love arm wrestling.
@@RobVigeantRVJ Shit, we're still in better shape than 90% of the guys in our age brackets. I'm not as lean now as I was 10 years ago. But, we're not complete bums either. Priorities tend to change a bit as we age. We've got families, children, businesses, and many other external influences. Not excuses just the truth. I'm not always willing to sacrifice fun times with the family to drop another 5% body fat. As long as we're still staying in shape, staying strong and grinding you can't ask for much more. That said, I look forward to where you can take this thing next. Gives me motivation for my next 10 years of grinding. The marathon never stops until you're buried.
Pickleball will renew you. *In the match after go there's that moment where it stops, if you would have dragged your elbow to the back of the pad do you think it would have made any technical difference?
I love pickleball. Now… at the time I was very successful with toprollers as they failed at attacking my hand and I was also strong. This was first time I encountered this lane with that strength. I don’t thing dragging woulda helped this day, but a few months later I beat him
Good morning my friend and I hope you and the family had a wonderful weekend and that you for sharing your information and knowledge on your journey back to the top and you were a beast since day one
No, I’m sure if we look up the Harley pull… but I will say one of those pins was very suspicious… I caught him in the center of the table. I beat him pretty easy.
I remember Giorgi very well. I was competing NY in the mid-1990s.
Yeah, he was certainly a beast
@@RobVigeantRVJ Yes I couldnt ever pin him in a hook.

Congrats to 20 years!!! I remember this match, I remember your match with Denny as well. Good times, great oldies.
Dude your genetics are insane!
His hands, biceps, triceps, crazy
It's easy to shit on people who use roids when you have genes like Rob :=)

Congrats on 20 years!
Thanks for sharing.
Georgi was very strong, practiced with him many times. Surprised Georgi pulled. He hated putting it on the line most of the time , afraid to lose
Yes, but I was very new so he had a good leg up … and it was in NY… the pressure was real
@@RobVigeantRVJ I agree with you. I was referring to Georgi's personality. Mike and others we joked about him..
I remember watching this match YEARS ago on youtube and recently tried to find it again and couldnt
Dam RVJ you look monstrous hella buff. It's cool seeing these old match ups I wonder what other jems Gary has from the olden days RVJ
I remember flashing Giorgi in 1994. VERY strong hand
Wow, I didn’t know who he was competing that long ago
@@RobVigeantRVJ I believe he started In 1992 in Niagara Falls
Denis is a HELL of a first supermatch 😅 wow
Seriously… dude was a legend and I was a year in 😅

Congratulations 🥳💪

RVJ's bicep genetics is IN-fuckin-SANE
I love hearing these stories. Who was the 1st stud you beat?
Probably Eric roussin or Jerry Cole…
Both national champs one from USA other Canada…
Eric was my first event Jerry was my second
@@RobVigeantRVJ how long into the sport?
@@tomrhadigan3085 first event and maybe 3 months after

Ripped up, looking like Larry Scott, but with freak horsepower. BTW, we do pickleball drills in the garage, got taped off targets, it's lunacy.
Dude I love it
Larry Scott… I like it.

It definitely wasn’t steady. I was in and out for a lot of different reasons.

your arm genetics is insane in all dept. - hand, musculature and strength. It is actually a federal crime not to wear a tank top with such pythons
Thanks
Looking super legit Natty there brotha! Lol
A tan and lean helps… I was working really hard so I was probably always in a calorie deficit… and the work itself was like going to a gym
